Hi,This is a well-known problem with FS. Many users have reported this issue. I am strongly convinced this is nothing related to the programs running into the background but is a FS-related problem. In my case if I use my home airport (LPPT, located a few miles from where I live) I get always this problem - a huge usage of page file with the corresponding FS9 crash!

Hi,When a add-on scenery creator says that his scenery should be on a scenery level higher than a certain default one what this really means?For example, if in my scenery.cfg I have his scenery at, say, Layer=63 and the default he mentions is at Layer=25, I think I have to move up that add-on scenery to, say, Layer=20. Can someone comfirm please?ThanksEdmundo

And what about ... both sets together? (Kemp's and Benlloch's).I believe they address different bmps and therefore they may work together. Did anyone try this yet? Edmundo

Your Fokker 50 panel has been one of my favourites since version 1!This update is an executable and in my case cannot find the file with your panel because I did not keep the original filename. Could you please let me know the name of the file the installer is looking for so I can change my file name?Many thanksEdmundo

Paul,No, no Landclass files here (I am aware of the Texture folder issue!). Cannot use FS9! For the first time in many years of flight siming I am grounded!! Edmundo

John,Look at your Windows Task Manager (at the desktop hit CTRL+ALT+DEL) and watch the page file usage. I am having problems with FS9 crashes due to a continuous increase on this page file size (beyond 1.6 GB!) that makes FS9 to crash. Check it out and report back please!Edmundo

James,Thanks for your input. The size allocated to the virtual memory is not an issue (I have it set at 1.024 GB!!). The problem is that in any situation I feel always the hard-drive in activity and the page file increases continualy and eventually makes FS9 unflyable. Please have a look at the enclosed screenshot - it says everything! I have deleted FS9.config (and I have no addons running except FSNav) but the problem comes out again.RegardsEdmundo

John,Thanks for your input. Yes, I have done that renaming. But my problem is deeper that a simple tweak. As I mentioned in my post, it seems that FS9 is building up information (page file usage increases with time) and eventually overflows! The reason is beyond my knowledge.Something strange too is that after closing down FS9, it stays in memory because I can see it in the list of processes in Windows Task Manager (but not in the Application window) using about 18,672 KB of memory. And in most cases it stays there. I have to close it down in Windowa Task Manager otherwise WIndowsXP does not shuts down.ThanksEdmundo

Hi!I have the same issue! I am also using a NVIDIA GF4 Ti 4600 card but with the 44.03 drivers. It may be related to our video cards! I know of no cure to it!!Edmundo

Thanks guys for your input!I gave about 10 Gb of free disk space and I have limited the virtual memory to close 1 GB.Thats odd that you also have 512 MB. Do you use WinXP?RegardsEdmundo

I have problems with Fs2004!I have a medium-high system, PIV 2.56 GHZ, Asus GE4 128 MB, 512 MB of RAM, WinXP Pro, with latest sound and video card drivers.Yet, quite often, with some aircrafts loaded (for example, SSW A310 or even the default B747!), FS9 closes by itself, and WindowsXP Task Manager shows up to 1.5 GB of page file usage! In addition, Windows often claims then that is is low in virtual memory (I have more than 1 GB of virtual memory asigned). I also see stutters and a long loading time for VC panels (for the SSW A310 up to 50 seconds!!!) What is the meaning of this high value of page file usage? Is the 512 MB RAM not enough? I am considering to add an aditional 256 MB but I am not sure whether this will solve the problem.Any help/suggestion much appreciated. Edmundo
