  2. Robert,Thanks for the update ...to the update. Everything is working fine now.RegardsEdmundo
  3. Niels,Are you using Windows Vista? If so, this is a well known problem that hopefully will be fixed soon by the PMDG team. Please see the "Post 744X Issues" thread below.RegardsEdmundo
  4. Robert,Because you raised the question that this problem may be related to the SimConnect I attach the contents of the SimConnect.xml in my computer. As I said before, prior to this apudate the B747X worked fine and all my FSX addons are also working fine.ThanksEdmundo-----------<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252" ?> - SimConnectSimConnect.xmlFalse - FalseIPv4global Silver 645004096False- FalseAutolocal
  5. Robert,Thanks for looking at this issue. It is really weird!Yes, I confirm - all the files you indicated are dated May 9, 2008 (as seen at the their respective folders by the "date modified"). Also, all the 7 files show version 10.0.61355.39, created on Feb. 16, 2008. Thanks!Edmundo
  6. Hi,It seems that all of us having problems with the 747X latest update are using Vista (either 32 or 64).Edmundo
  7. Hi Robert,I am facing the very same problems! No speed tape and as soon as I am airborne and select LNAV, VNAV and AP on, the aircraft behaves wildly - it turns around itself ans things like that.I can assure you that before this update the B747 worked OK. The update installation worked fine (I run the update as administrator). The B747 gauges I have now at the gauges folder are dated Feb. 12, 2008, version 10.061355.39.I am using Vista 32, and the AV is McAfee VirusScan Enterprise. FSX Version is Deluxe, with SP1 and SP2 (no Acceleration). My PMDG order id is 88126.I do hope we can find the culprit of this strange behavior. I will try to gather more information that may help to find a solution. Many thanks and best regardsEdmundoEDIT: I tried again and the issue is definetly with the autopilot. As soon as any mode is engaged (either LNAV/VNAV or HDG, etc.) the airplane just goes nuts (turns around wildly). Also, the speed tape does not work in any conditions; yet the ground speed indication works fine.
  8. I tried to install the 174.74 drivers to use with my 8800GT card. Unfortunatey I could not install them because this card is not listed in the nv_disp.inf file!Aren
  9. Hi Carl,What kind of perfomance (in FSX) you get with the E8500? I just upgraded my PC to E8500, Vista 32 bit, 4 GB RAM, 8800GT card and I am ...sort of disapointed. For example, running all slides at their middle position (or below) I get around 8-10 fps at Aerosoft
  10. Thanks a lot!I knew that it has to be a very minor issue... but I could
  11. I have e just rebuilt my system and installed (under Vista), FSX and LDS 767, PMDG 747 and PIC 737.Everything works OK but I found out that for any of those 3 packages, only the first aircraft on the aircraft.cfg is shown in FSX! I checked the structure of the aircraft.cfg and everything is correct. If I change the order of the aircraft, the problem remains. Just the first is shown. Can anyone give some suggestion to cure this strange illness??ThanksEdmundo
  12. Thanks a lot!RegardsEdmundo
  13. In Fs9 when we define joystick buttons or axis to FS9 commands, they are stored in Fs9.cfg (for example, joystick button 3 to "elevator trim axis").In FsX this information it is not saved in FsX.cfg. Where is it saved?? I presume in some xml file but I could find it. Can someone help?ThanksEdmundo
  14. Hi,I strongly recommend the pushback gauge by Arjan Scheffel - search the file library for "as_pushback.zip", posted on the 23rd September 2007.It works vey well, very easy to implement in any panel and works fine in FSX (with/without any SP).Give it a try. You won
  15. Thanks mates! From MB BIOS I get a CPU temperature (from switching PC ON) increasing steadly and stabilizing around 88
  16. Ken,Mauch obliged for your suggestions. Some of them have already crossed my mind such as an overheating issue - it seems the problem arises only when I use "heavy" applications (FSX and FS9 but not with MS Word for example).Best regardsEdmundo
  17. Yes, it is a strange problem indeed!! Last week on doing a disk cleanup using the WinXP utility I noticed that my PC (PIV 3.6 GHz, 3 GB of memory and GEforce 6800GT of 256 MB) closed itself without any error messages (just switches off!!) when it reaches the "compress old files" part. After that my FS9 and also FSX show a similar behavior! After flying a certain amount time (random), in any part of the world, my PC just closes (it is not a CTD - it just closes as the power cord were taken out from the wall socket).I made a search and I read at MS website that when problems with the "compress old files" arise one should delete that entry on the registry that I did. But that didn
  18. Did you have another scenery for that area such as Kaitak98? If so disable it and do not forget the mesh files that came with it!I installed this fantastic package following the (very detailed) instructions and everything works as adverstised. I suggest, in addition to what I mention above, that you review the installation step by step.Good luck!RegardsEdmundo
  19. Yes, it does say that MSFS is going to be installed! But you can be sure that it just installs the beautiful (pun intended!) 737 Adianna. I did install it and evetything is OK. Yet, I installed it first into a dummy directory and copied the files over. But the installer seems that it doesnot write anything into registry.Happy New Year!Edmundo
  20. Jim,I regret to inform that I also got no improvement at all on the wind shift problem with SP2. I guess this problem is difficult to iron out. Just for your information: virtual Stations are off and weather is set to "User Defined" in FSX and I use ASX in a second computer linked to the computer that has FSX. WinXP with SP2.Thank youEdmundo
  21. Thanks for reporting! I have to confess that I like .... airplane lights (!!) and I am always replacing those in the aircrafts I like. Please do post some screenshots so I can be (easily...) persuaded to get them.Edmundo
  22. Did anyone already try the new Shockwave 3D LIGHTS REDUX for Microsoft FSX? Care to share an opinion?ThanksEdmundo
  23. Sorry to insist, but how? Just deleting the directory? Or does Acceleration leaves behind an uninstall file? In short, what I would need to know is whether is easy to uninstall it if should I get some adverse effects.I apologize to ask this, but I read somewhere that Acceleration could not be uninstalled - unless one creates a restore point. But your message indicates otherwise!Again, many thanks!Best regardsEdmundo
  24. Geofa,Sorry to ask... How did you uninstall Acceleration? Does it have a special entry in the "Add & Remove programs" for that purpose? I got Acceleration but didn
  25. Hi Jim,Many thanks for caring yo answer my question! Will try your numbers.Best regardsEdmundo
