Excellent! I've been waiting to get back into the Citabria. When are you going to be at the airshow? I'll try to stop by and meet you.

  4. I agree with Brian here. As a former gauge programmer for a payware company (and current freeware programmer), I've had my stuff pirated. Does it bother me? No, it doesn't. Piracy happens and there is nothing we can do about it. I accepted that fact when I made my gauges. I expected it to happen, and I didn't care. The main reason is that the people who download it would not have bought it anyways. The only reason this whole piracy thing is such a big deal is because people do not seem to realize that there's nothing we can do about it and that it really doesn't matter. Hearing of things like the FSD issue makes me sick of the FS community as a whole. "It raises prices", "increases development times", and "makes for annoying copy protection" are all horrible excuses by other devlopers who cannot accept that their software will be pirated.Matt KaprockiPayware Devloper
  5. I would just like to throw in a quick thought. My father made a program used for budgeting. He sells his software on the internet. Yes, it is listed on all the warez sites. One month his program was listed on the front page of a rather popular site. His bandwidth shot through the roof and he was forced to take down his site for the remainder of the month. However, his sales also skyrocketed. He sold more copies that month than any other month it's been available. :-)
  6. I believe I made a post about this a few months ago, but you are correct in the fact that send_key_event should not trigger the key repetition.:-) Edit: Can't find that post, so I guess I never actually posted it. :dunce:
  7. I wrote a program to decompile the BGLs into my own database. Runway info is pretty easy to get. There is a document that does a pretty good job of describing the format, the rest I just figured out as I went.
  8. Wow, I can't believe they only have 8 left. ;( The day after the storm, I saw (on our portable TV) 3511R upside down on top of another plane. It's a sickening feeling seeing a plane you've flown destroyed. Do you have a list of which ones survived? How'd the Cirrus do?Edit: Looks like they updated their website with the list. Only 3 172s left. ;(
  9. After 10 days without power, and 12 days without cable/internet, I'm finally back. The storm went directly over me. We got up to about 80 mph sustained winds here, with gusts to almost 100 mph. I spent the entire time outside in front of my house. The wind was unbelievable. With the rain blowing, it was quite hard to see at times. There were 1 or 2 times when the wind gusted that I about ran inside, but I stuck it out. How many people can say they went through a hurricane outside? :D The next day, I drove around the neighborhood to check the damage. There were trees down on every road. You had to drive under trees hanging from power lines. I can't believe how much damage there was to pine trees, but that's because they don't flex like palm trees. I even saw a telephone pole snapped in half by the wind.My house received around $10,000 in damage. We're still waiting on all the estimates, but it's not gonna be cheap. If this had been a regular storm, our deductable would have been $500, but since it's a hurricane we have to pay $2,500. :-mad [link:www.leadingedgesim.com/mkaprocki/Hurricane Charley/Tree_House1.JPG|Tree in my front yard 1] - On it's way down, it took out the drop line into the house.[link:www.leadingedgesim.com/mkaprocki/Hurricane Charley/Tree_House2.JPG|Tree in my front house 2] [link:www.leadingedgesim.com/mkaprocki/Hurricane Charley/Pool_Screen.JPG|Screen around the pool], or what's left of it. 10. Hey everyone. Thought I would post some pics and videos from my recent trip to Oshkosh for Airventure 2004. FFS SAAB KAPUT?

Hi guys. As it says in that post on the FFS forum, the FFS Saab 340 is done. However, we are currently negotiating to purchase the project as it stands, and continue work on it with Aeroworx. You've seen from the Aeroworx King Air 200 what their modellers are capable of, and it'll still be us doing the programming, so don't loose hope yet.
  13. Since taxiways and runways are layered over roads, the road just goes under them. Here's a quick pic for you.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/81936.jpg
  14. Hi Daryll. This is an issue with certain video cards and full screen mode. Register from windowed mode and you shouldn't have that problem. Also, don't register using your invoice number. Use the registration code from our site. If you need more help, contact us on LiveHelp from our site.
  15. If you wish, you don't have to turn off everything, just Hot Starts. That'll fix your starting probs for sure.
  16. I think I remember hearing about something like this during beta testing. Before you start the engine, try hitting Ctrl+Shift+F1 to make sure the condition levers are set to off. I think someone had a problem like this, and it was caused by the levers not being full off when trying to start.
  17. Hi Sean. The engine may be broken. Go to Repairs, and choose Fix Failures. This should repaire the broken engine. ;)
  18. Just make sure you're carefull when you're adding the teeth. Get it right the first time and you won't have to worry about it binding once you get the gear back on. Good luck on it, and let me know how it goes! :D
  19. Hi Den, thanks for the comments. :-) We added about 4 teeth per side. We put clear tape on one side of the gear, marked where the teeth were, then unstuck the tape and rotated it to see where the new teeth should go. Then we just filed down until we got to the lines.Everything is held on with allen nuts, so have a goot set of allen wrenches ready. We used a total of 3 different sizes, but I don't know what sizes they were. You'll have to take the shaft completely off to get everything done.It was well worth it, though. I've been flying with it this week and it's unbelievable how much better it is. I don't even notice that it doesn't have rotational springs. :D
  20. Howdy all. I've had my AFCS II for about 2-3 years now. It was cool when I got it, but after really using it I found that I was pretty much unable to fly with it. Eventually I gave up, and just stored it away for a year. The problem lies in the fact that there is only 45
  21. Here's a site with a list of some of them:http://www.flight-instructor.de/misc/aviation-acronyms.shtml
  22. Hey Adam. Since the ATIS is updated every hour, you need a way to know if you have the current info or old info. Each ATIS update gets assigned a letter. If the current info was Romeo, the previous hour's was Quabec, and next up will be Sierra. If you have information Quabec and they tell you information Romeo is current, then you need to go back and get the new ATIS. :-)
  23. Hi Diego. Piper likes to use a handle between the 2 front seats. The handle pulls up like a handbrake on a car. There's 3 or 4 notches to keep it in certain positions. Here's a couple pics of the flaps handle (flaps up).http://www.airliners.net/open.file/554293/L/http://www.airliners.net/open.file/410846/L/
  24. Hey Don. If we're talking about a C gauge, it's pretty simple. Start out with a MAKE_ICON macro set up to display the UP bitmap. You'll have a BOOL such as bMouseDown that will tell that element's callback that the mouse button is down. If the button is down, draw the 2nd one.For your mouse callback, you can use MOUSE_LEFTSINGLE to alert you when the button goes down, and MOUSE_LEFTRELEASE when it's released. The mouse function would check to see if the MOUSE_LEFTRELEASE or MOUSE_LEFTSINGLE bits are set in mouse_flags, using a bitwise AND.If you need some sample code, let me know. :-)
  25. I'm not sure if you're in the US or not, but I'll assume so.This site has a real good chart of the requirements for a medical certificate.http://www.leftseat.com/FAAforms.htmA lot of stuff comes down to how the examiner thinks. He may fail you while another would say you're fine. Even if you get turned down you can still get a waiver and get your medical, depending on the condition.Your best bet is to just schedule an appointment with a medical examiner and talk to him about it.
