  1. This is exactly what they mean when they say it is locked. A locked processor will not let you change the multiplier to anything other than what is set into it. To unlock it, you must fill in the L1 bridges and then connect them. Kind of tricky to do. Anyways, when you overclock, you usually want to raise the FSB and lower the multiplier. This keeps the CPU running at the same speed, but the increase in FSB gives you the faster performance.Overclocking really won't do much damage as long as you don't go overboard with your cooling. Use a program like Motherboard Monitor to watch your temperature. If it starts getting too high, you need to lower the overclock.Matt
  2. As far as I know, we can only have 2 sticks of PC2700 ram with our Mobo. However, it doesn't really matter what slots they are in. For example, I am using slots 1 & 3, but am still running as PC2700. IMHO, I would just stay with the 512MB.MattAsus A7V333Athlon XP 2000+512MB Samsung PC2700Gainward Geforce4 Ti4600 GS
  3. Assuming the floor of the Class B airspace doesn't go all the way to the surface, as long as you are below the floor, then you are not in the Class B airspace and therefore do not need a clearance. It would be like flying in any other Class E airspace.Matt

  17. Many people, including me, have had that same problem. Not much you can do about it. It just seems like it works for some but not others. In the mean time, I guess we'll just have to stick with 8.2. ;-)Matt
  18. Despite what everyone else says about it, I love it. Try it for yourself and see if you like it.Matt

  24. So you are trying to build the gauges in the VC IDE, right? I find it is easiest to set it up using nmake instead of the IDE. Either way, what was the first error you were getting. Fixing the first one could fix all 36 other errors as well. >>Where must I select the file format, that the MS VS6.0 knows that the goal should be the sdk.gau???Take a look inside the makefile. It will say something like "goal: FAF.throttle.gau". Since you're using the IDE, you need to open the workspace through the makefile. It gets kind of strange when it needs to convert files and such, so I use a text editor to edit the source code and build it using the command line. Dai's SDK has examples of how to use nmake instead of the IDE. The one advantage to using the IDE, though, is that you can use it to debug gauges. It it very helpful to be able to step through the code with FS running. I've got it figured out now, but it was not easy to do. ;)Also, since you're using his makefile generator, you will need to edit the makefile it created. His makefile will be looking for an extra header file that hasn't been used since FS98.Matt
