  1. Thanks to all who replied, and to all who tested the CH Web site.I am actually relieved to hear that my problem was not caused by CH Products, but I can
  2. Has anyone noticed maleware on their PC after visiting the CH Products Web site? I apologize to CH Products if I am wrong, but several unauthorized pieces of maleware were installed on my PC while visiting their site. After entering the CH Products Flash 6 site, and while browsing the CH FAQs, Norton Internet Security gave continuous warnings about programs attempting to access the Internet.Programs attempting to access the Internet included: bargains.exe, csv5p086.exe, optimize.exe and others whose names I don
  3. See the below thread for the solution to both sticky buttons and sticky yoke.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchYou just need to ream out the bearings through which the yoke shaft slides. Be very careful when opening the yoke to note the positions of the parts, and be gentle when reaming out the bearings so that you do not gouge the bearings and you do not ream out too much.Cheers,Robert
  4. Steve,Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a try.Robert
  5. Bert,Thanks for your reply. I have the DreamFleet Cardinal and I strongly agree with you that it is well worth the money. It is my number two favorite GA aircraft, and my number one favorite is the DreamFleet Piper Archer II.I'm looking for a 182, though, so that I can become familiar with its characteristics before flying one for the first time next month.Cheers,Robert
  6. Thanks for the reply.I don't recognize the term "FDE", though. Are you speaking of the RealAir Simulations "Refined flight model for the FS2002 Cessna 182S version 2.0"?Thanks,Robert
  7. > I wish they'd made one without wheel pants instead of rounded> spinners... Just repaint the wheel pants 100% transparent! (grin)
  8. Can anyone suggest a good Cessna 182 for FS?My primary need is a good flight model, and my secondary need is a realistic instrument panel. I
  9. Is it necessary to download and install the version 1.1 update? The reason that I ask is that I noticed that the 60mb version 1 download file contains newer .air files than the version 1.1 update file. Thanks,Robert
  10. The current issue of Computer Pilot magazine mentions in its review of the Flight1/Dreamfleet Cessna 310 that the 310
  11. Does a graphics card with 256mb of RAM provide any significant FS2004 performance improvement over that of a card that has only 128mb of RAM? Has anyone done a comparison? Thanks,Robert
  12. Hi Bert, Thanks for your reply. I was speaking of the 'Force feedback fix' and the 'Checklists' fix that are available in the Support area of the RealAir Simulations' Web site. Possibly you could provide the answer to my question, if you would be so kind, by looking at your Decathlon's inflight checklists and reference guide to see if they are for the C182, or for the Decathlon. If they are for the Decathlon then the patches were included in your download file. Thanks,Robert
  13. I wonder if the currently purchaseable version of the Decathlon already contains the problem-fix patches. If not, is there a plan to include those patches in a future downloadable version? Thanks,Robert
  14. Can repaints that were created for the FS2002 version of the SF.260 be used on the FS2004 version of the SF.260? If so, are there any downsides to using the FS2002 repaints, and are there any suggested installation modifications? Thanks,RobertI was surprised and pleased when I received an email from RealAir Simulations saying that they were providing a free update to my FS2002 version of the Marchetti, but I was blown away when I discovered that the free 'upgrade' was in fact the complete FS2004 version of the Marchetti. What a class act.
  15. Is anyone else hearing a rhythmic 'tick' or 'click' sound from the Maule's engine? It occurs once every few seconds at full throttle, and less frequently at lower throttle settings? The 'tick' is heard on two completely different PCs that are running different operating systems so I am fairly certain that it is not being caused by my own hardware or software setup. And, it occurs at all three levels of sound quality.Any thoughts on how to eliminate this annoying sound will be greatly appreciated.Nice aircraft, huh?Robert
  16. Thank you very much for the solution to this problem that has been bugging me for some time. It works like a champ. Thanks,Robert
  17. Jeroen,Thanks for the tip. FScene 2004 looks interesting and I
  18. I am constantly amazed by the flight experience provided by FS2004 and its add-ons.I am currently enjoying FS2004 with real-world weather, with FSGenesis landclass and 38meter terrain, with the Dreamfleet Piper Archer II, and with CH Products yoke and rudder pedals. Sometimes I just engage the autopilot and then switch from view-to-view and marvel at the complexity, the beauty, and the accuracy of it all. Also adding to my pleasure are: AVSIM and its contributors, FSNavigator, and other aircraft produced by Carenado, Flight1 and Dreamfleet.Developers
  19. Zack,There are a couple of AA5s available for MS Flight Simulator. Most of them were developed for either FS98 or FS2000, and then later updated for F2002. My favorite AA5 is the one that was co-developed by Jose Miranda, and it can be found in the AVSIM library by searching on his name.I repainted Jose
  20. Is anyone working on an FS2004 model of the new Tiger? After being out of production for some time, this classic GA aircraft that was inspired by James Bede is once again being produced by the newly formed Tiger Aircraft. http://www.tigeraircraft.comTheir modern version of a legendary aircraft would certainly be a welcome addition to the FS2004 stable of aircraft. 21. Yeah, I know. I feel rather honored to have had my post answered by such esteemed Avsim
  22. I found the following three comments regarding the age of the satellite images in the MegaScenery Web site's forum. ---------------------------------------------------1) The satellite image is not just one image but a mosaic of a number of smaller images (scenes) that have been patched together. While we don't know the exact dates of each scene they are very recent - within 2 years or less.2) Well, most of it had to be from Jan-April because of the green hills and mountains, and was probably about 2000 or 2001 because the 210 Fwy is clearly in the early stages of construction. (Its finished now) 3) Yes but the 210 Freeway is still not complete. It still doesn't connect to Highway 30 in San Bernardino yet. It currently ends in Fontana. I'll have to look at where it ends. Will be sweet once it connects all the way. Pretty cool scenery eh?-------------------------------------------------------Any other guesses?Robert
  23. Ken,Thank you for noticing that I was looking for Jim's suggested weather setting in the wrong place. I was indeed looking in "'optionssettingsweather" instead of in "optionssettingsDISPLAYweather".I changed the "Detailed Cloud Coverage Density" slider to its minimum setting and it made the clouds appear much more realistic for my area of the country. Thanks go to both you and Jim.I must add, though, that none of the weather sliders appear to actually change the number of clouds in the sky. The "Detailed Cloud Coverage Density" slider seems to only change the size of each cloud, and the "3D Cloud Percenatage" slider only changes how each cloud is rendered. If anyone ever finds out how to control the 'number' of clouds in the sky for a given weather condition, I would appreciate hearing. Thanks,Robert
