  1. Hey Roger,Thanks for your kind offer of assistance. Although I am only a repainter of someone else
  2. Any one interested in an FS2004 version of the Grumman AA5 Tiger or Cheetah may want to view and contribute to the following thread.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=294163&page=2Thanks,Robert
  3. >Robert,>>Both sites show YOU to be the author of the plane.Donald,Oh, that
  4. Donald,I too fly a Grumman Cheetah and I have been looking without success for either a Cheetah or a Tiger that is designed for FS2004. If you do find one, please let us know. I will be happy to assist you by testing your Cheetah under FS2004 and reporting here the results. Just let me know the filename, and where you found it.Cheers,Robert
  5. Al,That is an interesting thread, thanks.Do you, or anyone else, know if the same technique works for VFR Photographic Scenery and, if so, what files/folders need to be modiified? Thanks,Robert
  6. I have been practicing my landing technique... in Flight Simulator 3.0!I just re-discovered the wonderful Flight Simulator History Web site at http://fshistory.simflight.com. The site is well designed and contains an excellent Flight Simulator Timeline from FS1 (1979) to FS2004, as well as free downloads of the early versions of FS.I have been flying version 3.0. Gosh - the magnificent 640x350 16-color graphics, the perfectly circular clouds, the several downtown Chicago buildings, the generous three aircraft, I could go on-and-on. And to think, all of that wonder on a single floppy! If you want to have some fun this weekend
  7. Thanks Lynn and Bill!I downloaded your Tri-Pacer first and, wow, I can't stop flying it. Something tells me that it is going to take me a few weeks to get through all of your wonderful and generous donations to the simulation community. You made my weekend. Thanks,Robert
  8. >Robert, are you going to offer up these changes to others...>in some way?Hi Bert,Sure, I
  9. Some have expressed dissatisfaction with the yellow borders around the panel popups in the new (and fantastic) Carenado C182 RG II.To remove the yellow borders: In the C182
  10. Is there a text-o-matic repaint of Flight1
  11. Joe,Are you saying that you modified the Stearman to use the Beaver's engine sounds? If so, are you willing to provide detailed instructions? I agree that the 2004 Stearman is excellent. The previous version was one of my favorite aircraft, and I thank the Daviator team for their hard work. Love that price!Cheers,Robert
  12. There are comparison screenshots at the following URL: http://www.pcaviator.com/megascenery/forum...p?showtopic=623Robert
  13. The way that the RealAir Spitfire stalls is worth the price of admission
  14. Excuse me if this is a really stupid question but:Is it possible to merge the components of the Flight1 172 and the RealAir 172 into a composite aircraft who's total is greater than the sum of its parts? In particular, can the Flight1 172 be made to side slip by using parts from the RealAir 172? How would one do that? Thanks,Robert
  15. Thank you all for your replies; you made some good points, and you provided me with an understanding of the differences between the products. One significant difference between products that I have noticed is, that the products made from satellite photographs tend to be fairly out of date. i.e. 5-year old housing developments shown as empty land, 10-year old highways either hand drawn or non-existent, and so on.My decision? I am going to buy all three products (MegaScenery plus MegaCity, and VFR Photographic Scenery), compare them, and then use the one that suits me best. And, I consider myself very lucky to have two such quality products available for the area in which I fly.Cheers,Robert
  16. Hey CB,With your experience, you are likely to be a better judge than we are as to which product has the most realistic flight model. Consider taking on the task yourself of testing several Pipers and reporting your findings. Possibly, one of the aviation sites would subsidize the cost of the products in payment for a review.Whatever you do decide to purchase, your opinions will be appreciated.Cheers,Robert
  17. And let me add my 5-star rating of AVSIM.My thanks go to all of the hard-working folks behind the AVSIM logo.
  18. For those interested, the November/December issue of PC Pilot magazine has been sighted at several Borders book stores.
  19. Hey Bert,Thank you.You taught me something, and you solved a problem that I was having with the Flight1 C172R. Both items have to do with your mentioning that you used the mouse wheel.2D cockpit altimeter:I was adjusting the altimeter using the
  20. Bert,Could I impose upon you to check two things in your C172R, and then report your findings?2D Altimeter
