  1. PSS 747 can work in FS 2004 but you will need the FS 2000 gauge version of PSS 747. You can get it from FS 2000/2002 world airliners cd from justflight, or from your original fs 2000 product pss 747.The following procedure is not supported by anybody, note it doesn't work for everyone, for instance myself :'( . But it worked well for several people.- Install the PSS into FS 2004 using the FS 2000 version, DO NOT INSTALL FS 2002 PATCH NOW.- Go to your FS9/Gauges directory, and copy in a safe place the PSS-747.gau.- NOW install the PSS 747 FS 2002 patch. (airfile, and aircraft.cfg from FS 2002 are better for use in FS9)- Ok, you can copy the previoulsy saved PSS-747.gau (FS 2000 version) into your FS9 / gauges directory. This is very important PSS-747.gau from FS 2002 is not said to be FS9 compatible.- Now it's time to edit panel.cfg . (BACKUP THEM BEFORE)Open the file with windows notepad.Look for it into the following directory FS9AircraftPSS-747panel.XX (XX can be the one of your choice : GE / PW / RR , i advice you to edit everyone ).- Into panel.cfg , [view] section, you should read at the end :VIEW_DOWN_WINDOWS=37VIEW_DOWN_DIR=15.0, 0.0, 0.0If you have those in that place :VIEW_UP_WINDOWS=37VIEW_UP_DIR=-15.0, 0.0, 0.0Replace them with the first lines above, that's not right it's FS 2000 version panel.cfg)- We are still editing panel.cfg :Each time you see PSS-744!ButtonHide, write // at the beginning of this line. This will disable each gauge not FS 9 100% compatible, it may crash while panning the view around, or when you call for overhead panel.Example : gauge00=PSS-744!ButtonHide, 1, 1, 1becomes : //gauge00=PSS-744!ButtonHide, 1, 1, 1You should have 8 lines to edit in this way.- Save and Exit- Edit the two others panel.cfg if you want..- Load FS 2004 / Aircraft / Boeing / PSS 747-400 - It will ask you to disable (or not) completely the functionalities of the aircraft because it's not FS 9 compatible>>>> SAY NO <<<<< DO NOT ACCEPT TO DISABLE- All CRT screens load and display, FMC works fine too. Autopilot and auto throttle works too. EFIS display works fines. Everything seems to work, BUT loading the aircraft in FS 2004 selection menu can crash your game on some computers.This process is not supported in any way by anybody. Have nice flights if it works for you.
  2. Your previous addons have a lot more of simulated systems than on PSS A330/340, and a lot more buttons to activate. If you want an interesting aircraft with a lot of systems and buttons active, you should investigate about A310 from SSW, same aircraft generation as 767 PIC.There is no better payware A340 better than the one from PSS actually, so if you really want a recent Airbus, ok go for it. PSS products are good for both beginners in advanced aircraft addons, or all other users that don't want to spend 1 complete hour to prepare their flight and starting the engines ;). I found PSS products really easier than the products you're talking about.Anyway, you shouldn't be disappointed if you accept an easier addon to operate like A340 PSS.If you're looking for a complicated addon, you may want to look somewhere else.
  3. Affirmative, for instance, Captain Sim 727 is non compatible with the freeware gauge INS CIVA, that drives the Microsoft FS default autopilot in heading mode :)

I agree that is the main negative point with not enough natural sounds when you play for the first times.But they are so little negative points balanced by all the positive features, you'll forget about them (the negatives ones lol), and you won't use anymore FS default ATC !Just Radar Contact 3 alone as FS addon, this will involve you in transatlantic flights, and everywhere you can hear real ATC thanks to RCV3.I explained this several times in long posts on a French FS forum, and i know at least three people who bought it then :D:-outtaSebastien, France.

  8. Another feature that may be added in RC 4 :When we are in a double runways airport, this kind : O II where O is the apron, and II the two runways (lol). I'm cleared to taxi to the second runway, may i ask authorization to cross the first runway, before proceeding to taxi to holding point of the departure runway. If this is the case in real life, it would be a nice feature. :)

  12. HelloSame problem today, i can't load a saved flight by radar contact 3 :( "Loading FS State" appears and then, nothing, i have to kill RC3 because it doesn't respond anymore. No error message.Never tried before to load a flight from RC3 since i have fs 2004.FSUIPC 3.11RC3 3.10.2205FS 2004 FrenchWindows XP SP1 Frenchregional settings : several weeks ago i set "." as decimal symbol.i tried this afternoon to set "," as decimal symbol but it doesn't work too.

  15. Everyone can use the freeware spambuster. Once your mail accounts set in in, you will first load your mails in it but it's fast it only downloads the titles and senders from the server, autodetects the spam and dumbs, verify no normal mails is signed , then click delete signed emails and they are deleted from the mail server. Use safely Outlook for the next minutes. The next dumbs and viruses are sent again a few minutes later, so i advice you to repeat spam buster action until 10th september 2003.
  16. If you want to hear more VHF chatter files, each time you visit a website that hosts that kind of recordings, contact the author, or the webmaster to ask kindly for Radar Contact use. Then edit the files, and publish them. At least announce here the website so then, people who handle a minimum sound records can do that for radar contact community.That's what i did again thie afternoon, sending an authorization request :) Once again, french chatter files may arrive, but this time for the second international Paris airport, Paris Orly LFPO/ORY.. looking for a reply. :)Regards.

Hello,I have translated the 737TNG PDMG operational aircraft manual, the main one, 88 pages, from English to French.I already translated such kind of big manuals, since i did it for AntiCyclonE for their products A320 Pilot In Command (160 pages), Active Camera 2002 (23pages), and Active Camera 2004 (30 pages).All these traductions are not automatically generated by any webservice or software, just handly written (with keyboard at least ;) ) and translated to be accurate in French language, and so accurate with technical words. Be sure how accurate it is, about A320 PIC french manual, the translation was supported by two real A320 Captains and other pilots/specialists to help me with the last technical words,.. And finally i added a complete new part of 20 pages to add all A320 Captains comments about the real A320 flying procedures, or about displays prompts.I post here to get the PMDG authorizations to :- share my actual translation manual with french aeronautical specialists / B737 real pilots by email to ensure my entire translation in each word is accurate, before the public release- upload the complete french manuals files (once finished and accuracy approved) on my personal website ( http://www.freeworks.fr.st ) and maybe on the most famous french flight simulator website ( www.francesim.com )- edit the original manuals since i think about adding FAQ and tutorial in the french manuals- use PMDG logo and 737TNG manuals graphic chart because i'd like the french manuals look like the original ones :)As you understood, the operational manual will not be the only one to be translated, i'll translate also the required originals manuals from PMDG and additional texts (FAQ from forum, tutorial from Fred Clausen, to be contacted) to understand the whole 737TNG addon features and to ensure French customers will enjoy your products.You can already have a look at my previous manuals at my website (www.freeworks.fr.st), the PMDG's one is not online, since i'm not authorized to :) But contact me by email or post here if you're interested to see it, and i'll show it to you as you want, by web or by email (more private right? :) ).I already spent several a few days on it, and i start dreaming about getting a free 737 :) Can i go on dreaming ?   20. Hello i have one bug to report if this can help.I'm performing a flight from EGPD Aberdeen Scotland to LFKJ Ajaccio France (Corsica Isle) at FL270, then FL290. Since i have contacted the controller of that altitude in EGPX FIR Scotland Control on 130.5 COM1, he never said anything, just i had to acknoledge the things i asked him (because i unchecked pilot autoreply in RC3 options). For example i asked him a higher flight level from FL270 to FL290, i heared the pilot asking, immediately appeared the option 7 to acknoledge without any sounds. So i acknoledged and i climbed to FL290... but i keep going on hearing at real chatter sound files. And the whole RC3 did work well from clearance delivery to departure and even the lower altitude controllers.Once arriving in the next FIR, London control, on 134.4 COM1, both works now the controller and the chatter sound files.:) of course i've installed the files to the main directory of RC3, and the sounds files extracted in winwood respecting the preset subdirectories. I didn't change anything else, radar contact got just installed since yesterday because i changed my main hardware CPU + Motherboard + DDR. If you need further details don't hesitate to ask, bye.

Hi,I've prepared a set of 5,7 Mo of real ATC chatter files, to cover every approach and departure in France, for radar contact V3.It features about 25 new sounds files recorded at Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle approach frequency. Most of them are available and believable to hear them everywhere in France, a part of them are especially good for LFPG App/Dep because you can hear about Concorde, Roissy, De Gaulle, Paris Control etc.. When the pilots/ATC are talking about high rate of climb, i set the sounds also available for departure.INSTALLATION :The zip file is easy to install, just extract directly to Radar Contact MAIN DIRECTORY, respecting the preset directory destination. Check the box "use the directory name" option before extracting with Winzip for example.It will install files in the following directories :Paris FIR :..winwood103app..winwood103depFrance FIR's :..winwoodFranceapp..winwoodFrancedep/!/!Be careful if you previously installed files there, they will be erased (maybe without prompting) by this installation, backup them before to do.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Remark to john dekker : i'm sorry but creating the sub directory APP under the LFPG directory is not recognized by RC V3. You're right, rules say speak in english even between two french people ATC/pilot, especially at LFPG Paris Charles de Gaulle (i don't know if it's the same at LFPO and LFPB.But french pilots and ATC speak in french most of time. Two or three of these samples let us hear how ATC has to mix english / french, driving them crazy when an Air France pilot speaks both english / french :) :)Anyway, the wav heard in New York Oceanic ARTCC are long too, and they works fine. They don't interfer with ATC instructions to me because the ATC cut the chatter playing or wait for the chatter to be finished, in order to tell me a new instruction.So i don't know how to manage about winwoodfranc
