I had a similar problem and looked into the aircraft.cfg file and found that the following lights were missing in the FSX "Effects" directory: fx_r4d_navred fx_r4d_navgre fx_r4d_navwhi fx_r4d_vclight I then searched for these files in my FS9 directory and copied them into FSX. In my case this fixed the problem.Tim

vista r4d and b25 gauges
timcook replied to yancovitch's topic in Mid-Atlantic Air Museum Simulations Support
I suspect that the reason you can't see any more than one page of threads is that you have your AVSIM User Preference set to only view topics that are less than one week old.I don't have Vista, so I can't help you there.Tim -
I suggest that you try reducing the TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT to a figure of 1 and see what that does. On my set up it removed the stuttering completely.Tim

FSUIPC axis calibrations still working after SP1?
timcook replied to jordanal's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
FSUIPC4 and FSX seem to work fine for me, although I haven't recalibrated the axes since I upgraded to SP1. -
I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but I loose the VC when I switch on the cockpit panel lights. If I turn the lights off the panel returns.

Extreme Turbulance

So any thoughts on where the turbulence is coming from? I must say though that the turbulence problem occurs with the Flight Sim downloaded weather as well as "your" weather, so it's not purely a ASV phenomenon. The turbulence disappears as soon as I press the "clear weather" button.Tim -
Extreme Turbulance

I have the same problem with turbulence as well. However, I can't see how to change the wind shift rate in FSUIPC. I am registered and use version 4.04, and have attached a screen shot of the "wind" tab. What am I missing?Tim
