I never realised you could drag the aircraft symbol - many thanks for the tip.

What about Scenery Tech - which drive should that go on?

Is it possible to program a keystroke-macro in FSX?
timcook replied to Bert Pieke's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
This is very easy to do by using the macro functionality of FSUIPC. -
To remove the voice I suggest that you look in your aircraft.cfg file for a section headed [GPS]. Either remove that section, or comment out each of the lines.

Many thanks - I can now stay logged in.

I have the same issue as well.

It's the clouds by the water.Does this change your previous recommendation to turn off both SkyScapes and the Fog layer generation?Tim -

Sorry Jim, I don't understand. I am flying above the grey fog layer - it's only about 50ft above ground level, so it would be difficult to fly beneath it, but is that what you want? -

JimI'm sorry, but I have no idea at all how to tell if this is "the FSX visibility layer" that I'm seeing - if you can tell me how to do this then I'll obviously do it!You talk about "a texture fix that is in the graphics packages for FSX", can you tell me where to get this, so that I can try it?Thanks,Tim -

OK I'll uncheck both SkyScapes - but presumably that means I won't get any of the SkyScape features?Fog layer generation was off.Is this problem solved in Active Sky Advanced, which apparently "eliminates FSX -

Yes I have both "Enable SkyScape Mode" and "Use SkyScape for Stratus" ticked.Tim -

Hi JimThat was quick - it's the weather at FLLD now (17:00 UTC).The METAR is FLLD 071600Z 23004KT 9999 TS SCT004 SCT014 FEW020CB BKN060 22/19 Q1020 RMK INTERPOLATEDThanks,Tim -
I had a similar problem with FSX crashing because of the MAAM gauge (MAAM_R4D.gau)in the DC-3. During my investigation I noticed that the gauge size was now very much larger than the original - I can't image how this happened as I certainly don't have the skills to have done anything with the gauge. I therefore just reinstalled the gauge, and lo and behold all the problems with the gauge disappeared.

Try using + to zoom out some more, and + to zoom in.Tim

Hard, I guess?I've done some calculations, and reckon that:87 FPM is equivalent to jumping off a 2ft high wall125 FPM is equivalent to jumping off a 4ft high wall387 FPM is equivalent to jumping off a 39ft high wallTim
-
Goodbye Phil and thanks for all your help and patience. Can I wish you the best of luck at Intel.Tim
-
I had a similar problem. In my case it was the auto-save feature of FSUIPC that was causing the stutters - when I disabled that, the stutters disappeared.
-
Yes you can do this very easily with FSUIPC.

Keyboard controlled panel?
timcook replied to a topic in Mid-Atlantic Air Museum Simulations User-to-User Support
Another possibility is to use a program that that translates a mouse movement and button press into a keyboard action. If you search through AVSIM for key2mouse by Luciano Napolitano, you should find it.The only problem that I've found with this is that it only really works for 2D cockpits, if you fly in a VC then it's not very satisfactory.Best of luck,Tim
