HiSmall note.If You have serious problem with fs9 like memory leak or equivalent, the 4gb patch will only delayed CTD.It won't crash with short flight (probably) but at the end at long flight You will get CTD.So the goal is to solve possible mem leak problem.After applying 4gb patch (before on XP64 bit) I solve the problem with OOM message but I get g3d.dll crash.On new rig with W7 64 bit I didn't apply 4gb patch and I don't have any kind of CTD (hopefully) because there is no mem leak. I'm thinking what to put in fs9 ;-)Regards Edin

HiI don't know is it solution with W7 64bit, but I don't have any problem with this oS na fs9.Just be sure to install fs9 in non default directory like X:\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9 with UAC OFF and admin rights.All addons I have works OK. As I know Reality XP does not work, but I'm not 100% sure because I don't have it.Edin

HiThe OOM and similar errors are very hard to track.First, try to disable AI traffic, because corrupted texture could lead also to mem leak which will result in OOM.Try to use filemon , I think the new name for that program is processor monitor or something like that.It will show You what is happening during fs9 running. For example missing texture files (scenery) would also lead to mem leak.In a past I had strange g3d.dll error every time around Aerosoft EBBR. I tried everything without success.After new OS installation (W7 64 bit, before that I had WinXP 64bit) everything worked OK. HiI didn't fly PMDG B747 for long time, so it could be my fault.I perform flight EGLL-KJFK.At final app at KJFK , ILS coupled, during gear extension I have got Master Warning and my ECAM goes black. PFD and ND was OK.What could cause this.ThanksEdin

HiOn some sceneries I have strange effect of growing grass above runnaway :( I tried to make flatten bgl for that scenery.Generally I'm familiar with procedure, but I'm a bit confused what should I put for elevation.For example, I have scenery ABCD with elevation of 100ft, and on that scenery I have grass mixing with concrete on some parts.What should I put for flatten elevation.?I'm using SCASM with AFX.ThanksEdin

HiI think there is no official version for fs9 and W7 64bit.As DJ said maybe it will work.I suggest You to skip Wilco B737CL and try iFly B737NG.Much more detailed a/c.I know that it is not classic series, but....Also I saw on Feelthere forum something about B737v2 :( Edin

HiI'm running Wilco B737 on W7 64bit and I don't have any kind of problems with Wilco.Absolutely nothing except known fact about Wilco B737 like holding does not work etc etc.First thing to remember when installing FS9 on W7 is Do not install on default location (UAC OFF and ADMIN rights are mandatory)Edin

HiI'm trying to edit some afcad files to correct runaway elevation for 1-2 ft.The problem is that with few afcads AFX give the message that some functions of edited AFCAD could not be save-d.And also gives suggestion to save changes under new name AFX_ICAO_CODE and put this AFCAD to higher level then original.In that case all functions of original AFCAD will be intact.The question is? What should I do with new afcad?Create new folder in Addon scenery for example AFX_ICAO with subfolder scenery and add this above original scenery?Or something else.ThanksEdin

HiI downloaded great freeware scenery of Linz LOWL from http://www.puerstinger.net/FS/FS_DE.htmThe problem is with lot of texture shimmering.I tried to convert textures with Imagetool to dxt3 with mips.After that no shimmering, but after that size of texture folder increased for 30% and texture loading time increased.What should be the best combination, better image and smaller impact on performance.ThanksEdin

Hi Luis.I think only amount of memory is a potential problem for W7.I switched from XP64 to W7 64 bit and I will never go back.FS9 works ok but remember to turn off UAC , install as admin on non default location.Because of memory I suggest you to stay with XPMy opinionEdin

HiI don't have this scenery, but as I explore a lot about memleak, could you please try this:1. Copy all textures from scenery/world/texture (I suggest to copy all because I don't know which textures are used by MMUN) to scenery/Namw/textureBefore doing that make backup, just in case.Try and report here.If problem is with missing textures, mem usage should go down.RegardsEdin

HiI spend many hours trying to find reason of this g3d.dll crash almost every time around EBBR.For me the problem starts after activating 3gb patch.There was a speculation about AES and this error but I did not find connection between AES and g3d.dll error.I reinstalled whole new OS (from XP to 7 64bit) and again all my addons (which I had before.I didn't activate 3GB patch.For now (almost 6 mth) I didn't have any CTD with this or any other error.I suggest You to download Proces monitor (Filemon was the name before) and try to find an error. Maybe some of the scenery causes crash because of missing textures.You didn't explain where this crash happens? On specific airport or anywhere?Edin

I tried your suggestion and I could not find any kind of memory leak.I leave it for 15 min, and memory goes up from 690Mb to 740Mb then goes down to 700Mb. Fluctuating around this numbers.Tested on KJFK. W7 64bit. With Engines running.Anyway , I don't fly this a/c. FMS disaster.Edin
