Hi, I bought and downloaded the NGX today and with my first two testflights it came up that on my systemi have a stutter of 10-11 seconds (the display freezes for 10-11 seconds) every one of two minutes. Anybody experiencing the same problem? I run the MD11 and jetstream flawlessly on this system......so that would rather not be the problem, FR on the NGX are very good actually. Regards,Ben

Hi guy's,I have reproduced the problem !After that i shut down my PC this afternoon, i started FSX up again this evening.Again.......the JS41 would't start....I shut down FSX, fired it up again and loaded the Saved JS41 flight twice behind each other.The second time there was a "Clack" sound (just like the sound when the starterswitch is coming back after starting a engine) and directly followedby the sound of a running engine (like mentioned in my previous post).No engine parameters where activ and the sound of the running engine stopped as where the engine was shut down.after that i was able to start the JS41 !So this is defenitly the problem.....Sometimes when starting up FSX and or a JS41 saved flight, there is something preventing me for starting the engines.Starting FSX up again and loading twice the same JS41 saved flight after each other, gives the "Clacking sound and the running and shutting down engine sound"whereafter starting the engines is possible again.regards,Ben

Hi Andy,Maybe i got the engines broken when starting them in a early fase last week (unless the fact that failiures are "off") and it got stuck from there.(I was able to start the engines once just after i purchased the JS41 last week)Loading the situation twice directly behind each other got that fixed?In FS2004 it happens often that a situation (or a PMDG saved panel file) got not loaded right once and i have to load it again right away, to solve it.Maybe in the coming day's i am stuck again and i have to solve it in the same way......i don't know.The testing of today did not reproduce the situation again that's for sureregards,Ben

Hi "puffmac",After a good night sleep, today i decided to uninstall FSX and install the sim and the JS41 from scratch again (i did uninstall the JS41 yesterday, but not FSX)Then i read your startup guide, good work and nice lay-out !My conclusion was that your work around was kind of the same as mine.Only thing i did not do was move the unfeature switch also to the right.....because i allway's start left first and i didn't think about moving the unfeatureswitch to the right at that time.But that wasn't the issue......unfortunately no start after walking through your guide.So i wanted to take a start uninstalling FSX and try a fresh install before i quit FSX and the JS41 for good.Before that, i decide to first buy another FSX aircraft (the Super MD80 Pro) installed that one and see what this aircraft is doing.This product has an aircraft configuration manager, here you can press a button for loading the aircraft with for example running engines and completely configurated for take-off.So i did...started the MD80, pressed the config manager.....and what do you think? ......that engines just wouldn't start too !!Now i was sure it must be FSX giving me troubles.Then i decided to do another trick....in FS2004 when i load the PMDG B744, the aircraft is commonly loaded without the VC.So i alway's have to load that saved situation twice in order to have my B744 VC right.Also the MD80 in FS2004 was not alway's configurated well in the first load, so i have to load the situation twice to get a good aircraft.So i thought, let's start FSX in the Trike (a default aircraft...as i alway's do) and then load the JS41 totorial, when it is loaded i will load it once again.maybe the JS41 has a same kind of problem as the B744 and the MD80 in FS2004?When i did load the JS41 tutorial a second time, suddenly a running engine sound appeared while the situation was loading.When the situation was loaded completely....the running engine sound disappeared....as the engine was stopped normally.During this, the engine parameters where not showing any activity.....it was only the sound of one engine.This never happened before ........but the good news is that after that i am able to start the JS41 !!I could not believe it.....i quited FSX and shut down the PC, started all over again....first load the tutorial flight once...i expected the JS41 not to start and i had to load the situation a second time.....but it did...It seems something in FSX or the JS41 was stuck and loading twice the turorial situation solved that.Now....when loading the situation a second time, the running engine sound does not apear anymore...it was just once, but good enough the get the problem fixed.After this, I was testing for more then three hours just to be sure....starting over and over again, stopped the sim, started new, trying a saved situation with the JS41,saved a before startup situation at another airport....Shut down running engines and start them up again....it just starts everywhere....and every time....everything works.....no need to load the situation twice anymore...it just works fine now.There is only one thing i would like to mention.Starting the tutorial flight....my JS41 props are alway's unfeathered....they NEVER are feathured !So i must thank you Puffmac, because i tried your startup manual i was indeed again looking further one more time and tried to load the Tutorial situation twice.Problem solved!Main thing to learn? Maybe there are more people out there with a stuck situation....try starting FSX in the Trike (default aircraft)Load the tutorial flight and load it again .....that solved it for me.Thanks to all for their idea's hints and tips. hello Dan,I wish i could...... :-(After again 4 hours trying even deleted and reinstalled the JS41 product and still no show.....I give up......no JS41 for me....am i the only one? .......would really love to use this product.....but when the engines do not start....i cannot use it.Even starting up the JS41 with running engines, shut them down properly (like it should) and after cooling down try to start them....but again...no show.Giving up....going back to FS2004......the JS41 was the only reason to switch over to FSX.I spend the money to buy it, spent about 30 hours to get it work......useless.lost my money but gained frustration......at least that is something :-)Thanks for jumping it in order to try to help me out.regards,Ben

Hello,I have spent more then 25 hours now, and to be specific more then 10 hours sitting behind the PC and try to actually start the engines.I have read the manuals, followed the tutorial, watched and followed the YouTube video about starting and shut down the JS41 engines, watched and followed the tutorial video, loaded a flight with the JS42 with running engines....shut them down properly (like is written in the manuals and video)after cooling down the EGT started the JS42 properly..... but nothing seem to help.It actually started once.....that was after that i started up FSX with a default Cessna and then loaded the JS41 Tutorial flight.After that i followed this procedure again and again, but it never started anymore.......It must be some kind of problem in my FSX or a programming issue in the JS42.....but i am out of resources and am quitting this JS42when there is no solution for me.To my great regret though, because i would really love to fly this aircraft.It is not that i am a beginner, i use FS for more then 17 years now and i fly in RL for 18 years (no JS42) so you can assume that idid investigate possible faults in my procedures approaching this JS42.It really must be something in the sim or the JS42 software.Maybe anybody is suffering the same problem?Any tips?Any feedback is realy appreciated.regards,Ben

Hi Dan,Thanks anyway, for jumping in.I have installed FS9 before FSX (not after FSX) and i use WinXP.I managed to get the addon livery's right. Installing the J41 on my second PC and installing the addons on that PC too went good.I then copied the texture directory to my main FSX PC but no show....then i copied the intire J41 directory of that PC to my main FSX PC and that solved the problem.I was able to install the J41 on two PC's because my IP adres of both PC's where the same i believe.It is a work around, but it worked.Maybe ActiveSky X is the problem, i installed that program after installing the J41 and thereafter i installed the addon livery's.ActiveSky X is changing the panel.cfg from every aircraft installed.On my second PC ASX is not installed and that worked fine.Maybe this is some kind of hint for the PMDG guy's to investigate further.Thanks again,Ben

I have a problem installing addon livery's for the J41.I have installed 4 of them.....all not working.When selecting the addon livery the preview J41 is black (no textures) and when selecting itto fly the addon livery, FSX is CTD sometimes or will load the addon livery but black (no textures)Only the default PMDG livery is working fine.Anyone having the same problem?regards,Ben

Hi Bryan,Thanks for jumping in.I am pretty sure i did not touch the red button, i am using the PFC FlightYoke and the red button is configures for my left hand.On disconnecting the AP i was steering with my left hand and the right hand was on the Throttle to push the AT disconnect button.Anyway....i made three testrounds after my message here and the problem didn't show up again.Now i am loading a saved MD11 situation and after that load the appropriate Panel Save file for this flight.I believe i forgot that last item on the flight the problem occured, maybe that has something to do with it.I do found out that on leaving the aircraft after setting up the flight and also loading the appropriate panelsavemore items from FS2Crew showed up and where worked out.Let's forget this item until in future it eventually showes up again, i will get back to you when then, o.k.?Thanks again for jumping in.regards,Ben

Hi,Beeing very glad with the FS2Crew MD11 for FS9 version a problem occured.....On intercepting the ILS and selecting the green button to lower the gear, the FO selects gear downbut immediately followed by the Go-Around mode.This results in bring the gear up again and retracting the Flaps till certain extent.Clicking the modes back on the left arrow in the FS2C main screen and try again brings nothingclicking the arrow on the right brings nothing too.Also repressing the green button or pressing the red button brings nothing too.When i ignore FS2Crew and lower Flaps and gear again and continue my ILS landingFS2C is still freezed on the Go-Around mode after landing so i cannot finish my FS2C flight properly.Any help would be much appreciated.One remark.....I remember the manual say's to not save a flight (and reload it) with the FS2C panels on screen, but i did.....Maybe that has something to do with FS2C mixing up things? (every other aspect of FS2C is working o.k. until the final fase)regards,Ben

Hello Robert,This "covering fire" is not fair.....not expected from a man of your rank....pretty disappointing.Things can go wrong, even at PMDG (like with my version of the queen last week) do your best to solve them but keep up in good businessmenship.Nothing wrong with my email, receiving lots every day without delay.Actually i have never had any complain ever about not being able to receive any mail. It is actually your support server sending messages that as of Nov 15 it is out of use.......You are not talking to a 15 year old screeming for attention here....Yes i have critics but kept it clear, honest and not below the belt.Anyway....Fact is i am downloading a new install right now, due to your personel action of today. Hello guy's,Thanks for your comments.PMDG seems a professionel and decent company that is NOT what i am affraid off.But after purchase i still can not install the product.It is not that i can't wait for a few day's (ofcourse i can) but the purchase and my first remark about my problem was 4-5 day's ago.Support asked me just one question until now.....about what i filled in into the installer and that's it......no solution....no further contact.....yet.Very disappointing.........I don't even know if they are working on my problem right now and what's the status.Kind regards,Ben

Hello dear PMDG,As a privat pilot i (and probably you all too) know the term "good airmenship".As a businessmen i also know the term "good businessmenship".I wanted to install the queen on a second PC so i purchased the queen for the second time.After payment i downloaded the puchase and tried to install.This wasn't possible.Writing an email to support@pmdg resulted in a automatic generated answer that as of 15 november web and mailserver is Out of Use.Therefore validation on install isn't possible.On the PMDG website and behind the Support tab it say's "server status normal"....so no problems at all......Isn't it good businessmenship to let purchasing customers know (before Purchase) and prominent on the website that currently there are some difficulties on installing the Queen and it isn't clear when the problems will be over?It is now Nov 24....so nine day's server problems occur apperantly...why is it that one has to find that out only after purchase and not before?I saw someone asking questions about the validation proces wich wasn't working for him too.He got the answer on this forum to contact [email protected] is strange....because there is nobody there....and he also will receive a automatic generated email that validation isn't possible as of Nov 15.I am sorry but i find this a very strange way of giving support.A disappointed customer who paid and can do nothing with his product at the moment.I hope you will find a way of sorting this out and prevent more customers being disappointed.Kind regards,Ben van BoomThe Netherlands.
