  3. Hello,I was just wondering if anyone has bought an of the airplanes from the Just Flight Flying Club that Avsim advertses on the front page. The pictures of the aircraft look pretty nice but I would like to hear what other people say about them since each plane is about $18. I tried the Tomahawk demo they offer and it is a pretty nice plane but I am interested to know about the others.Thanks,Dan
  4. I fly a Warrior II in real life also (almost daily) I have to say that the flight dynamics are not like the real thing. If you try to take off at neutral trim (take off trim) in the Aussie Sim Warriors its so hard to get it to rotate at Vr and if you do, it just wants to nose dive right into the ground. Dan
  5. While I agree the Aussie Sim is a good aircraft, I think the flight dynamics for it are horrid and needs to be redone.Dan
  6. May I suggest the Aussie Sim Piper Warrior. It comes with both Warrior II and III panel/model. I fly the Warrior II in real life and I have to say that the panel is almost spot on. The only drawback to the Aussie Sim Warrior IMO is the flight dynamics. I think they need a little tweaking but take a look for yourself.http://www.aussim.com.au/piper/default.htmDan
  7. Greg,Is it better to put the USB Controller latency to 0? Mine were orignally at 64 each, I changed them to 32 and I was wondering if 0 makes any difference.Dan

  9. Thanks for the replies guys. No, Scott, I don't fly the scarebus :( . I was thinkning of getting a CH yoke and rudder pedals but I was just read bob's post...do you have to lube to get it to work realisticly or is it just an option? Also is it that hard to control with the CH yoke as P
  10. Hey guys, I finally gave up on my old joystick and find it to be unrealistic(atleast in my eyes) and I was thinking of up grading to a yoke unit. I was just wondering if any of you guys know of a good yoke or companies that sell them, to use on the pc. I'm trying not to spend $1000, looking for something reasonably priced. I'm pretty shady in this area so I thought I'd get some advice from other people who own them.Thanks,-Steve
  11. What I would like to see is more buildings and, something new, houses. I would like to fly VFR and be able to find my house and it actually be a building instead of a just a crappy picture. Seeing the houses in the different patterns that they are in, in the real world would be awesome to see in flightsim especially for VFR flying. Could you imagine being on final looking out on the wingview and being about to see where you live or work and traffic moving on the local interstate or road around the airport...that would just be crazy! Right now I just don't think FS gives any of the cities justice on what they really look like. I know adding individual houses is nearly impossible but one can wish. The buildings can be improved to give each of the cities a more realistic feeling.
  12. The Ariane classic 737 Visual models are about the best you can get right now. If you decide to also get their panel (a panel does not come with the aircraft unless you get one of their packages which gives you a little bit of a discount, not much though) I highly suggest you don't. As of right now their isn't a FMC and the bitmaps for the panel are low quality. I guess I would say that their panel is mediocre at best. If you are looking for a good visual model then I would get it but if it is the panel, systems, FMC, etc you want then their stuff isn't for you. If you into those things I would suggest getting the Dreamfleet 737-400 package, HOWEVER it does not work in FS9 but if you use FS2k2 then you are all set.
  13. Hi,I was just wondering if there is an airfile/FDE to merge the PIC and POSKY 757 (RR Model) in FS2002. I know there is a package for the PW version. Or does the 757 fly well with the original files that were made for FS9.Thanks,Daniel
  14. Actually I think I understand now. In order for me to be able to do VNAV and descend by PATH I have to click on the legs button on the FMC and insert speed/altitude for various waypoints. Am I correct here?Before I thought it automatically calculated speed and altitudes for you but I guess not.
  15. Randy or anyone for that matter please elaborate on how to get this bird to go down on the proper path. I don't really like using SPD Descent, LVL CH, or V/S.
  16. Hi all,I have flown quite a few flights with the NG and I have been having some problems with it. I will start a flight, program the FMC, takeoff etc.. The only real problems is when I get to my descent point. I'll be flying, get the RESET MCP ALT warning, and I reset it for the descent phase of the flight but the problem is when I get to TOD I get a message from the FMC saying VNAV PATH NOT AVAIABLE. It then switches to SPD when in most cases causes me to get down to where I have to be late. First question is what do I do to stop getting the VNAV PATH NOT AVAIABLE message from the FMC. Second problem comes on the approach part of the flight. On the FMC I put in the flightplan with the correct approach STAR and runway. But when I get on final, hit the APP tab on the MCP and engage Autopilot B I get another error from the FMC this time it being RW/APP CRS ERROR even though I am landing on the same runway I put into the FMC.I hope you guys can understand what I am saying. Anyway, any help on these to subject would be great.Thanks,Daniel
