I am an old FSX fan that jumped the gun when Flight came out. I went ahead and reinstalled it yesterday and gave it another look. Boy was I blown away by Alaskan Wilderness Pack. I purchased that and flew the Hump. Well if that is all that I did I would be happy. What an experience. I started with low settings and went all the way up to high and had no problem. The scenery is fantastic. I for one would be willing to pay for state or regional add on packs if it could ever happen. Oh and thanks to Microsoft for the Free Resources for Flight. Air1 that was awesome photos that you left(actually help me find the aero cache) thanks for the info and pics. I sure would like a better idea of where you landed at at 19000 ft though. Being a hardcore Flight Sim Gamer from early on with Microsoft I have waited eagerly for MS Flight. I must say it is time to relegate what we called flight simming to the past. I downloaded and tried MS Flight and to be fair it is a decent Video Game but it is no longer even close to a Flight Sim in my opinion. So I uninstalled it. My next prediction is that in two shakes of a Stearman's Tail it will be on XBOX live, that is where it belongs.In the meantime I found http://www.ge flightsimulator.com, check it out fly anywhere you want with realtime scenery, in planes, with sound, use the joystick, takeoff and land. I opted to buy the xbox to play Tiger Woods PGA Golf 12 on it for two reasons, the online game that EA had was in a fast decline, the online arena is slow to develop, they finally now got smart and put the Tiger Woods PGA 13 on the Xbox also with Kinect Engine.I also have the highly sucessful Forza 4 Racing games which was developed by Turn 10 Studios along with Microsoft Studios, looks like they should learn from how well this game is going. As a note Forza 4 has a much more releastic DLC model than MS Flight will have. For instance Forza 4 offered a Season pass where we got 10 new cars per month for 6 months for 29.99, about 5.00 per DLC that is about .50 cents per car. Now Ms Flight wants $20.00 for the rest of Hawaii, $15.00 for the Maule Orion and $8.00 for the P-51. Now that is $43.00 and we have not left Hawaii. Of course that will work if all we want to do is play all over Hawaii. My guess is that it will not work. Suppose I want to fly over Florida, another $29.99?I believe that MS missed a good bet by not porting FSX over to the Xbox, imagine how much better that would be. You could easily have sold it for $100.00 and gotten new xbox buyers, and new xbox live gold members. Of course I am not a CEO or marketing genius. I just use what is in small supply now, it is called "common sense". I want to add that MS Kinect is tailor made for KINECT.Just my Thoughts, Don't flame me, but please comment.Dan

Hey guys thanks for all the replies, some serious and some not but fun to read. In the meantime I have enough to keep me busy on the Xbox with Forza 4 Racing sim and Masters 12 golf game. You know what I like most is the money I save in this economy. My brother plays REAL golf 4 times per week, figure the cost for that. My dream has always been have a Microsoft World where we can drive, fly, play golf, ride trains,. Microsoft has all the elements to accomplish this. I see in my dream that could be accomplished in the console Xbox environment. It has the power to do it and do not forget Kinect in all this also Just imagine flying to JFk, driving or taking a subway to Liberty Memorial GC, enjoying a round of golf and reversing the process all in the same day...lol

Jean-Pierre Fillion was most helpful and also sent me another link to help me locate the lighthouses, it is here:You can also use the Atlas Canada map : http://atlas.nrcan.gc.ca/site/english/maps/topo/map. Try the search engine with location's name of lighthouses!I finally figured out by looking at the Atlas was to start at Pointe Petronille and fly along side the south shore of Isle Orleans and I spotted lots of them and back down the north shore also, I probably have located half of them now...Good Job Jean! I downloaded the lighthouses and have not been able to find but a couple of them, even after translating the descriptions. Is there possibly someone who can help me locate them all?ThanksDan

I went ahead and reinstalled.I went back and looked in the config file and saw it still had the xfx 7300 in there and when I deleted it, did not pick up the 8500 gt card.After the reinstall looks a lot better. I am getting 35-55fps now with default settings. This is without SP1 added. I am going to add things slow and document, never tried that before to see if I can identify the bottleneck. I think it may be the Flight1 products, not sure which one yet. I have Ultimate Terrain, Ground Enviroment, Ultimate Traffic...Thanks Again for the help.Danny

I upgraded from an XFX 7300Gt 512mb card to a Sparkle 8500GT 512mb card and the Sparkle seems to perform worse than the XFX, am I missing something? Should I un-install and re-install FSX?Thanks,Danny

I have FSX installed on an external drive, along with AccelerationX, Ultimate Traffic X, Ground Enviroment X, Ultimate Terrain X, I want to reinstall all these but...When I goto add/remove programs, none of these are listed. Since installing my external drive letter has changed from the J; to K: and I cannot seem to get it back.I would like to go and re-install everything fresh, but do not know where to start, I thought about just deleting the folder but hesitated, some of you experts out there? Just use "K" to go through mission compasses till you see carrier landing. I did it last night and landed on the carrier and got carrier Landing Award. I think the carrier is about 25nm away from the place where you drop the bombs. Happy Flying!

Finished flying Ed Olander's new mission called US Navy Pullout and wanted to brag a bit. Real Nice Mission, lots of fun for those with Acceleration pack. be sure and check sound settings, I had to turn voice up and cockpit noise down to hear. very well done. Good Luck!! Happy Flying!

I am having the same problem with Justin's site. I have been trying to download for 2 days but only get so far and it hangs. Very Frustrating...

I for one am going to be careful about buying anymore 3rd party add ons without a good trial version attached to them. I just bought airnav systems FS Live Traffic for FSX and had to buy it because the had no trail versions.These add-ons are getting too expensive to just BUY, I thought FSX Acceleration was a great buy at 29.99 but some of the add ons are way to high.Danny

I finished the mission and was actually able to gain enough altitude to get over the mountains and landed ok. Just fly straight and level till you get speed, climb a little and repeat, that is how I did it...Good Luck!

I was reflying the "Introduction to Mountain Flying" Beginner Mission and after landing at Lower Loon Creek Airfield I decided to take back off and fly a bit and saw this big grizzly, just wondered how many others had seen him/her?
