Thank you Ernie for the reply. That's what I figured...I just wanted a second opinion. J.R.

SAMM - Aircraft
Hello, I know somebody made static aircraft using SAMM a while back, and uploaded to different websites (including here). I have made 512 static aircraft/airlines from different sources...I just need to know if I need permission from the original authors of the material to share/upload??? If, and when I can I will break the files down alphabetically for easier download, and this way nobody is downloading the whole package just to get to a few files. The files will work in FS9/EZ-Scenery...not sure about Runway 12, or FSX...sorry. If anybody can give me some insight on this I would appreciate it. I spent a few days converting traffic, and I would like to share what I've made with the Flight Simulator community. V/R J.R. Duda

Ground Environment Pro II texture sets
Greetings, Just purchased GE Pro II, and was wondering how many texture sets does anybody have/use ground, and sky??? I know if you create a lot you get more out of it...but I was wondering just how many is enough, or too much??? I created 20 ground, 5 overcast (ground) , 40 sky, and 10 overcast (sky) texture sets. I have plenty of room on my 1TB HD...so I not too worried about space...but is 114GB too much (lol)??? Any Insight would be helpful. Thanks J.R.

Eric Marciano Radar 2.0
Thanks for the reply...however Radar 2.0 doesn't use FSUIPC. I just sent an email to eric Marciano (hopefully i will get a response from him) however, I will appreciate any advice from the AVSIM community. Thanks Again J.R.

Eric Marciano Radar 2.0
Thanks Jim Young for moving my post. Another problem that I also experienced is when exiting the program (if I didn't get a CTD) the radar is preventing FS9 from shutting down normally. Getting the error mesage Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program. Again, any help would be appreciated. J.R.

Eric Marciano Radar 2.0
Greetings, I installed Eric Marciano's Radar 2.0 using FS Panel Studio FS9/Windows 7, after a few minutes or so CTD. Anybody having any problems, or any solutions to fixing it. I went back to his previous version (free), and I have no problems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks J.R.

Windows 10 and FS2004 Discussion
There shouldn't be any problems rolling back to the previous version of Windows. However with that said...you have to do it before the thirty day trial period ends. J.R.

You do not have permission (FS9...possibly FSX also)
Back to Windows 7 (until whenever). All is working except for Active Sky...didn't have any problems with it in the first upgrade. J.R.

Windows 10 and FS2004 Discussion
The problem I think is with the video drivers. NVIDIA only has one current driver for Windows 10: 353.30. Hopefully NVIDIA will fix the problem in future updates. J.R.

After two Windows 10 upgrades...went back to my Windows 7 configuration, In my original upgrade all was working until I found out that I didn't have permission to install anything into the addon scenery, or just add scenery to FS9. The problem was fixed after the second upgrade...and that's when i found out that Active Sky wasn't working correctly. Reinstalled the program, and it got more of a fiasco. FS9 works great on Windows 7, I have better frame rates...so going to stay with this until the bitter end of Windows 7 life. Thanks to all who gave me help, and I hope I was helpful to anybody on other threads. Take Care/Happy Flying J.R.- Windows 10 and FS2004 Discussion
I think the problem is fixed. I changed one thing in the configuration (random), and restarted the program. Changed the configuration back to what it was...seems like it's working. However Sluggy if you can still pass on your settings...I would greatly appreciate it. J.R.- Windows 10 and FS2004 Discussion
Active Sky 6.X locking up FS9 in full screen mode when going to Window Mode Alt + Enter.. What GPU are you using, and if it's an NVIDIA what are your graphic settings within the control panel, and are you running full screen, or window??? Thanks J.R.- You do not have permission (FS9...possibly FSX also)
Upgraded back to Windows 10...FS9 working except for the obvious errors most likely caused by NVIDIA drivers. No setting have changed...just upgraded. I full control of the computer as I did in Windows 7. J.R.- You do not have permission (FS9...possibly FSX also)
MY problem just happened after I upgraded to Windows 10. I could not get new scenery to install...I didn't have Admin Privileges. I have zero security inconsistencies in Windows 7...I have full Admin control., and zero problems in FS9. J.R.- You do not have permission (FS9...possibly FSX also)
Greetings, Went back to Windows 7 using Macrium Reflect. All is working!!! However, I may try to upgrade again to Windows 10 to see if I get the same error, or something different. I'll let ya know how it goes. Take Care/Happy Flying J.R.- You do not have permission (FS9...possibly FSX also)
Just like other simmers...going back to Windows 7 in the morning. Not just because of this problem, but i get better frame rates off of Windows 7 than I do on Windows 10...that's a major plus for me right there. If it ain't broke...don't fix it!!! Take Care J.R.- You do not have permission (FS9...possibly FSX also)
Greetings again, I can install afcads/scenery into my addon scenery folder. However, any scenery that is installed in another place I can not manually put it into the scenery configuration. I can add textures from FSGenesis, and install programs (Ultimate traffic) without any problems (that's very good). Don't think I will be installing much scenery in the future...but just in case if I have to...i might be out of luck. Going back to my Scotch, and think some more about this. if anybody has any ideas...much appreciated. Take Care J.R.- You do not have permission (FS9...possibly FSX also)
Have it on a second hard drive...with all permissions!!! Going to work on it later on tonight, and try a few more things. Right now it's time for a Scotch, and relax. Thanks for the Support J.R.- You do not have permission (FS9...possibly FSX also)
Reinstalled the other day. I have complete system backups from when I first installed Windows 10 (Macrium Reflect)...going to try a few other things before doing that. I really don't care if I go back to Windows 7, but I want to figure out exactly what is going on with this problem...because I've never seen it before. Take Care J.R.- You do not have permission (FS9...possibly FSX also)
Greetings again, Just got done chatting with Microsoft...told them the problem, and their response was "Don't see Flight Simulator 2004 supported in Windows 10". The person then gave me the link to the Microsoft Flight Simulator support forum, but it looks like it's all for FSX. Going to give this a few days, and attempt to fix this problem...if not Windows 7 it is. Not a Happy Camper J.R.- You do not have permission (FS9...possibly FSX also)
Greetings, Just found this out last night...thought it was a fluke. Tried to install new scenery into FS9, and received the following error: You do not have permission to install new files on this computer. Please have an administrator log on to complete the scenery installation. I have full Administrative rights, UAC turned off, and made another account that is Admin, and performed a full takeown in cmd.exe. Has anybody experienced this problem??? This is a bad thing, and I'm ready to go back to Windows 7 in a heartbeat...don't need the hastle from Microsoft. Dealt with them for too many years, and just to think everything was working so well. Good thing to find out now prior to the end of the 30 day free trial of Windows 10. Take Care J.R.- Has anyone successfully cloned a Windows 10 HD?
Have to totally agree. Been using Macrium Reflect on my rig, and wife's laptop for many years...no problems what so ever. Macrium Reflect free version is great, as it does everything that the paid version does...minus a few it would be nice to have options. Using the free version on my media center computer, have the paid version on my rig, and wife's laptop. Going back to the Macrium Reflect...not only does it clone/image hard drives/partitions (Full/Differential/Incremental)...it also gives you chance to schedule backups. Hope that this helped. Take Care J.R.- FS9 Configuration File Tweaks for an GTX 750 TI
Greetings, Just got my new rig up, and running. Specs: Intel I5-4590 (3.30 GHZ) ASUS Z97-K Motherboard Kingston Hyper Fury X 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHZ ASUS GTX 750 TI 2GB DDR5 Is anybody running anything close to mine (or even an I-7), and if so have you tweaked the FS9 configuration file, or kept it stock??? I know over the years many people (including myself) have tweaked it to get the most out of FS9, and their system. If you have tweaked the configuration file can you put down what you did, and what improvements you've seen in FS9. Right now I have everything maxed out with the exception of traffic (50% - Ultimate traffic installed, along with some WOAI packages), and scenery complexity - normal (hate installing new afcads, and seeing aircraft embedded into a terminal). I have the following addon's installed: Active sky, FS Genesis Terrain Mesh (entire world), Ultimate Terrain (USA, Canada/Alaska, Europe). The frame rates that I am getting are 60 FPS...maxed out. Not worrying about frame rates, what I am wondering is if there are any tweaks to improve the overall look of the scenery (other than MS configurations), and get the most out of FS9. Thanks J.R. Duda- Gauges and Windows 7
Greetings, Just installed Windows 7 32 bit on my 10 year old rig: Pentium D 930 3 GHZ Asus 9500 GT 1 GB DDR2 4 GB DDR2 Everything is chugging along nicely, except for a few problems within FS9. Before I start i just want to say that all drivers have been updated, and I even loaded older drivers for my video card that I was using in Windows XP to see if it helped with problems within FS9. Now for the problem(s) some of the gauges don't load, or they do load...but end up crashing/freezing FS9. The gauges that are wrecking havoc are the ones for the Stratojet Excalibur...EICAS, and Mini-Display. Has anybody else had any issues with these gauges or others??? I have ran FS9 in several compatibility modes, and nothing seems to work. I have tried different settings in the Nvidia Control panel, and nothing seems to work. At this point of time I have deleted those gauges, and currently writing a few gauges in XML to compensate for the loss. If anybody could share so insight into this, or have any ideas (including new rig, or video card) I would be grateful. Thanks J.R. Duda - Windows 10 and FS2004 Discussion
