AI Lights too bright - how to dimm? (Pictures)
That file is spotlight.bmp which is located in the main texture folder. There are several good replacements in the library with more realistic levels - for FS9 and FSX. For FS9 take a look into Real Environment Professional by Tim Fuchs - has a bunch of good environmental textures in it.Cheers,Ian

ActiveCamera or Walk and Follow Work in Windowed Mode?
Hi Chuck,Don't have any suggestions for you - but I have used W&F on two computers in windowed mode and it works fine. How do you configure your throttles/yoke? There was a time when my throttle inputs were being intercepted by W&F and causing the same rolling you described.Cheers,Ian

>OK- It has been a month since the last screenshots and there>are many of us that are anxiously waiting for this KPHL>scenery. Are they any new screenshots or estimates as to when>this will be released?????>>Thanks!!!>>KevinI've put together a quick webpage to highlight the scenery - and it has a forum where we'll post progress shots. http://www.sunskyjet.com/Needless to say there's no estimate on the release - but it's really shaping up.Cheers,Ian

>Ian:>>Are you going to include the new Morano Building on 22nd and>Market in the new skyline?Hey why not? You going to buy a condo there? Starting in the low 400's for one bedroom...Cheers,Ian

>As the original poster, thanks to all for joining in with>enthusiasm as we anticipate this long awaited airport>scenery.>>Still two questions for Ian:>>1. Approximate release date - August- September - October>???>>2. Will airport be setup to depict realistic arrival and>departure runways? i.e. Departing Rwy 27L or 9L. Arrivals>27R or 9R.>>Always drove me nuts that default airport had aircraft landing>on 27L and departing 27R.>>Can't wait!!>>KevinHi Kevin,Can't comment on the release date because we don't really know. We just keep working on it bit by bit. That said, I have no problem being transparent and showing screenshots on request. And I haven't really dug into the afcad to set up the runways properly. I'm sure we'll have it working about right when it's time for release.Cheers,Ian

>Thanks so much for showing some updated shots! Its great to>know that this project is alive and well. In the KHOU scenery>the taxiways were custom but the runways were default>textures. Are there custom runway textures in that screenshot>posted above or am I just seeing things:)You're not seeing things... all ground textures are custom.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/190704.jpgAs for AES - I will be proud if Oliver is interested in 'AESing' our scenery - it would certainly be a badge of honor to be among such great products. But I guess we'll see when we get closer to release.Cheers,Ian

>Thats great looking. I also believe I saw in a previous>thread that the Sports complex will be included. It has>changed alot since Fs2004 was released. Just wondering if this>is still planned.>>ThanksThanks. I'm still planning on including the sports complex minus the soon to be demolished Spectrum. Also planned are updates to the Philly skyline (new Comcast tower) and accurately placed bridges.Cheers,Ian

Hi Guys,It's still under serious development. I'm in the process of tweaking all of the ground textures and adding in all of the gate area textures. Shez has made all of the terminal buildings and has textured all of the roofs and is in the process of creating the building textures. There's a fair amount to still be finished, but it's coming together.I have also begun to rework the ground layout to be compatible in FSX (no serious promises there yet - but I hope to make it happen - time permitting)Here's an overview of the F term:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/190686.jpgAnd an overview of the terminal/parking complex (forgive the miscolored tile):http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/190687.jpgI'll post more photos after the major ground rework is complete.Cheers,Ian

IMAGINESIM KATL RELEASED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This scenery will be optimized to maximize frames. As it stands right now everything is ultra smooth - but we still have to place a fair amount of textures and various objects (mainly small - but then we have the jetways). I also hope to include the stadiums (Citizen's bank park & Lincoln Financial Field & Wachovia Center <- all bank sponsored...)since they standout on any approach from the east. There's also a new skyscaper that has changed the Philly skyline that needs to be added.Cheers,Ian

Cloud banding effect with new system-grrr!
You might have checked, but maybe your newly installed clouds are in DXT3 instead of 32-bit?I run DXT3 on my old system for performance and they band - due to the lower color depth.ActiveSky graphics has a checkbox for 32 vs DXT3 under options.Just a thought.Cheers,Ian

FS Passenger
Hi Bill,You don't have to use the career feature and you'll still get all the critiques and passenger reactions. Also, you can have several pilot profiles and/or company profiles so you can have one pilot in a company on a career path, and another just to do as you please. You can also turn down/off the volumes of the chatters/flight attendant/co-pilot so it won't interfere with RC. It's a cool addition to your sim, you won't regret buying it.Cheers,Ian

Panel mouse click to keystroke?
>You can use it even in the VC, GAry, with a joystick button>it will be easier. You need to allign the view prior to to>sending the command, for example program a joystic button with>a macro to recenter the standard desired view in VC, pause>TrackIR, then send the command. So yes, it can be used in VC>with the above limitations, otherwise the mouse click will>miss the specific coordinate on the screen. I use trackIR in the VC and I rarely need to touch the mouse. When I need to click a button I callup a mini window (of the overhead for ex.) just like FS2Crew (if you're familiar with that). The mini window sits in the bottom right part of the screen while you do your button pushing - totally unobtrusive. I use FSUIPC to assign a button to open the window via ident # in the panel cfg. Key2Mouse assigns the click spots. Defining the mini panel is pretty straight forward if you're halfway comfortable with editing panel configs. This way you don't have to mess with aligning your view.Cheers.Ian

Panel mouse click to keystroke?
You could take a look at Key2Mouse. It's available here in the library as shareware. You could try it out and see if it does what you want and then buy it. I use it for all kinds of custom mouse clicks in PMDG aircraft that don't have available keystokes.Cheers,Ian

Should or Shouldn't - FS2Crew
I fly the 737-800 with fs2crew, rc4, fspassengers, aismooth, activesky, fsflightkeeper, and trackir. I've never had any problems. Only that with rc4 running you'll have what sounds like a crowded cockpit due to the fact that fs2crew has it's own sound files for captain and copilot - but you get used to it. I'd buy it asap. you'll love it.Cheers,Ian

Fuel Loader by Simulation Hardware
I think you can find it on Nico Kaan very informative website.http://home.planet.nl/~nwkaan/index.htmlUnder the preflight tab and halfway down the page.He also has a ton of other useful tidbits on there.Cheers,Ian

Active Camera Replacement?
Hello,May I suggest Walk & Follow by IGfly. It has internal VC walk and external modes without the horizon artifacts AC creates. It's cool also for wingviews on aircraft that don't have them included in the VC model (ex. PMDG747). You can use the external view model and save the viewpoint posision. Check it out: http://www.igfly.comCheers,Ian
