  1. Hi,Have a look at this thread: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=37468&page=There you will find a link to the paint kit.RgdsReinhard
  2. Hi,Use the search function of this forum:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...36348&mode=fullRgdsReinhard
  3. Hi,You can find it at http://www.avsim.com/pss/userfiles/pss_car..._star_dash8.zipPlease have a look to the wonderful post http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...2&mesg_id=36232 of Ben.RgdsReinhard
  4. Hi,It seems, that you won't get a fix for that problem. PSS has no plans to do this and I even think they don't have the source code or programmer to do it. I read something in this direction in another discussion. So the only way to circumvent this problem is to enter waypoint per waypoint.I always enter each waypoint without using the airway function. By using this method and by avoiding the list function I don't have CTDs. It's more work but after flying some routes you have most of them stored as flightplan and you are able to load these routes. You also should take care when using the RAD/NAV page as using this page also has produced some CTDs in my configuration. I tune radios by using the instrument panel only.By using these techniques I can fly with the Dash without problems. Of course I am angry too as I paid for this product without the knowledge, that they don't improve it anymore.RgdsReinhard

    Boring forum

Just my opinion (but I think a lot of us feel the same):I really appreciate the forum and especially Rob and Scobie, who always give their best to provide us the necessary information. Thanks!Reinhard
  6. Hi,I would:(a) Copy the appropriate JAZZ texture sub folder to the Q directory(:( Copy the JAZZ [fltsim.x] section(s) of the 300 aircraft.cfg to the Q300 aircraft.cfg and adjust the .x numbers in a way that you have contiguous numbering.Normally this should work.RgdsReinhard
  7. Terry,Perfectly - every is fine now again. No CTD after pressing the DEP/ARR button.Best regards and my appreciation for your workReinhard
  8. Terry,Any news according to this topic ?RgdsReinhard
  9. Hi,FS2004 crashes when I hit the DEP/ARR button in the FMC. I wanted to select the active runway for departure after entering LOWW and EDDM as departure/arrival airport but I was not able to rech the selction screen with your procedures installed. I reinstalled the files from Navigraph and immediately I was able to enter the flightplan with runways for departure and arrival.I checked your file vs. the minimal file from navigraph and found some lines like this one:2 KYKM WENAS5 RW04 ......NED 46.294876 -119.960040 0 0 <<<<< ?????So it seems, that some of the lines are too long and are therefore wrapped automatically. Check this with notepad and turning "word wrap" off in the Procs.ftd file.RgdsReinhard
  10. Hi,Just to inform you: The CRJ procedures currently downloadable as CRJ_Procedures_0708.exe continue to produce the CTD. Yesterday I tried to enter LOWW-EDDM but whenever I hit the Dep/Arr key on the FMC the CTD appeared.RgdsReinhard
  11. Hi,This is a very old and well-known bug. The only way to avoid it is to enter all the waypoints manually. Don't use the list function for airways. If you use the search function in the forum you will find, that PSS won't bring a patch although all customers, who paid for the plane, have this problem. It's a really nice aircraft and I can't understand, why they don't fix it.Sorry - no good news.
  12. Hi Jim,I am user of the same combination (ASV + GE Pro) plus Ultimate Terrain since some weeks. I am very satisfied (ASV I am using for a very long time - a top product!). A question, which I hadn't solved yet in detail with sky textures is, how the textures of ASG are compared to GE Pro. In ASG I have several possibilities to influence performance (selecting the resolution) but in GE I haven't found such a configuration choice. I know, that this also might be posted in the GE support forum, but perhaps you have any hint for me, how these two solutions might be compared.
  13. Hi,Perhaps you have a look at this thread:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchRgdsReinhard
  14. George,I have just tried it. All PSS A319/A20/A321 showed the landing lights. Just to be sure: Have you checked in the display options in the tab aircraft the third checkbox (landing lights) ?
  15. George,Some questions: Are you able to see landing lights in other aircrafts with the 2D panel (e.g. Beech Baron 58)? Have you installed some addons, which manipulated your light textures (e.g. halo.bmp) or your night environment?RegardsReinhard
  16. So,I have done this weekend several go arounds and figured out, that there is one thing you should always do. If you go around, first fly the procedure as documented in the chart. If you want to land again enter the airport again as "Alternate". Then you can modify the alternate flightplan by entering the desired fixes for landing and entering the landing runway in the normal way. That's important. If you just enter some waypoints after the original destination these waypoints get scrambled with the alternate flightplan. The first time this might work but at least at the second go around, if you enter no alternate airport the FMC crashes typically if you try to go to some waypoint direct. I had this twice - always when I didn't use the alternate flightplan. So now I know, what I have to do. Always use the alternate flightplan/airport after the go around and everything is fine. Thanks for your inputs, which brought me on the right way to figure this out. Can't now await, that a controller will tell me to go around ;-)Reinhard
  17. Guys,Many thanks - the first method really is only usable, if the GA doesn't come too late. Otherwise you have no waypoint in the flightplan. So I find it an excellent idea to have the missed approach fix (especially the one, where you might have to enter a holding) as a waypoint after the destination, if this is possible. That's no big overhead if you define the landing runway at the destination also to define this missed approach waypoint. And then you have an anchor for further actions.Thank you, I will give your ideas a trial. I think, this was the answer I was looking for.Best regardsReinhard
  18. Hi,I have a question for the PSS A320 experts: What's the best method to continue from the following situation:You have programmed a flightplan and an alternate destination in the FMC. Everything works great until you are on final to the runway and suddenly you have to make a Go Around, because the runway is blocked etc.So to initiate the GA and to fly the GA is standard procedure and typically no problem as you are prepared to it. A good description of the first steps can be found at: http://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.html But then you are typically vectored by ATC to retry your approach again. In the FMC the original flightplan has gone and therefore there is no simple solution to reenter the destination with the same runway (or perhaps with another one now active) you had in your original flightplan. We all know the "feature", that for capturing the ILS you should have programmed the destination airport and the runway and let the FMC manage the ILS frequency automatically. Otherwise if you manipulate the frequency on your own in the RAD/NAV page, the ILS capture might not work.Of course you can reset the FMC and reprogram it for the approach with a new dummy flightplan. But is there a better method ? How do you handle this situation ? Is it also possible/necessary to reactivate the approach phase on the PERF page as you are in the GA phase after this situation ?Thanks in advance for your valuable inputs.RegardsReinhard

    PSS A320 ILS

Rob,Is this real one of the sources, why the A320 sometimes doesn't capture the ILS:>To capture the LOC (and later APPR) make sure you are in>managed heading and not selected, that is the heading shows>.--- and you have not right-clicked (pulled) the heading knob>and entered your heading manually.I ask this to you as an expert (many thanks for your countless valuable hints), because if you are flying online with ATC you typically will get vectors to the ILS. Therefore you are in selected mode when capturing the ILS. If this really is the case, how should I handle these vector instructions ?I had yesterday such a situation in LSZH and I was in selected mode, as the APP vectored me to the ILS 14. I had made no manual changes to the RAD/NAV frequencies but I got no ILS signal at all. After two GoArounds I had reprogrammed the FMC and it worked finally.Best regardsReinhard, AUA668
  20. Hi,Panel and Operations Manual, page 53:Use the range up and down buttons on the weather radar to control the range of the EHSI map display.RegardsReinhard
  21. Roni,Look at this thread:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=set...page=show_topicNot sure, if this helps, but it seems to be related.RegardsReinhard
  22. Hi,It seems, that you have replaced your halo.bmp and the bitmap files necessary for the lights. I don't remember exactly the filenames but I am sure, you will find out. Had a similar problem with adjusted lights. When I switched back, this effect was gone.So the question is: What did you install ?RegardsReinhard
  23. Hi,With ATI cards you may also solve similar issues by unchecking the "Render to Texture" option in the display settings.RegardsReinhard
  24. Terry,Just one word from me: Thanks !Best regardsReinhard
  25. Terry,I know, this would be only a workaround and your solution to check this with the iFly team is quite better. So let's see, what they answer.ThanksReinhard
