  1. Interesting and never thought about it. Perhaps even certification of such an old frame for pressurized high altitude ops could be an issue. So probably both pressurization and high blowers won't be in use anymore or even functional. Only hints about it but no real info on the web. Cheers T.
  2. Nice indeed. I really like the retrofits as they are presenting aircraft flying now... but to be correct these are GTN750xi and ugly PMS are out again (just kidding) ๐Ÿ˜‰ Even the smaller 650 in the place of the 430 would be a win. But I would not give a single cent on PMDG actually hearing the customers wishes. Cheers T.
  3. Ah yes, that sounds like a PMS thingy I personally avoid like plaque ๐Ÿ˜„ Thats a solution for sure but doesn't feel right for me, but hey thats subjective. Same goes for faking a 650 into the 430. And honestly the 430 is doing a good job for me. Only thing missing is a charts integration into the EFB but we all know the story behind pmdg enhancing older products and EFB in general beeing a lets call it a somehow weak point ๐Ÿ˜„ Cheers T.
  4. It comes with a good set of documentation and if you want to take a sneak peek into it watch the official PMDG youtube videos made around release time. Cheers T.
  5. I just returned to flying the DC6 on a milkrun in Alaska with GPS and Gyropilot and have some plans to use it further on tours. I even found some time to paint it. Love it and to be honest I use it more on shorter hops and let my flight crew do the job. I have enough to do with flying and fight icing. It's not that they put three people on this plane to get bored like two on a boeing or bus ๐Ÿ˜„ In my eyes still a very good addon worth to stay in fleet and get some flying hours. Cheers T.
  6. A GTN option? Officially? Did I miss something? Or do you mean some tinkering around with pseudo replacements or popups? Cheers T.
  7. 100% this and as the quality of the msfs maddog is not even close to be paying again 90 bucks incl vat over the p3d version for it I'm safe ๐Ÿ˜„
  8. As I for sure can understand the overall frustrations the MP can offer from time to time - trust me including myself on quite a few addons - it is not planned and will stay exclusively in the MP. On a sidenote I would for example never buy from simmarket if I'm not really forced, too ๐Ÿ˜„ so a lot of us have their problems with some of the places to buy. Cheers and happy flying T.
  9. I can assure that the MP team is a lot better than in the beginning. And just as an example from first delivery of release package until release took us just one week. And we pushed a first fix over MP out in one day. And in addition we'll always be able to release hotfixes (like we have done already for the performance issue in the first week) over fsreborns discord. In the end I usually do the same as you with direct support of the dev. But keep in mind that providing an own shop solution or several different format installers for different shops is also a costly and time consuming effort for a small dev. Cheers T.
  10. No, both the Sting and the FSR500 are Marketplace only and will stay exclusively there. Cheers T.
  11. Real fun to see the response on the pax visible on copilot seat. Half of the crowd demanding a visible pax/copilot as its immersion breaking to not see someone in place when there's weight on the seat. Just as the pax/copilot is in - and you can easily switch it off by putting zero weight on the seat - the other half is going berserk about a copilot/pax visible. Another perfect example for you can't please them all ๐Ÿ™‚ Rest assured if that's the biggest issue we are dealing with than it has to be a good plane otherwise ๐Ÿ˜‰ The feedback is already noted and will be dealed with, you can calm down now again about those absolutley horrible minecraft lowpoly alien visible (if you don't turn it off) Totally subjective but actually me prefer it on and had a wonderful flight in sunrise where the shadow of the copilots head was on my left side visible. Have fun and fly cheers T.
  12. The majority was requesting it ๐Ÿ˜‰Set weight to zero and gone for now. But its a valid point as it could interfere with tools watching the weight like va pirep tools and stuff. I will report back and we'll check options internally. Cheers T.
  13. The Heinkel HE 5, produced in Sweden as the Svenska S 5 and nicknamed the "Hansa", was a reconnaissance floatplane built during the 1920s. Lucky us that they did not find that one ๐Ÿ˜„ Cheers T.
  14. I took this back into the Beta group and the answer from the Real World pilots was as long as you only lose the generator you have to reduce the electrical load by shutting down AC, vents, pitot heat and lights and the Alternator will take over even all three screens. This is simulated in the FSR500 btw. If you lose Generator, Alternator and your bats then you have a serious problem anyway ๐Ÿ˜‰ Cheers T.
  15. ttps://fsr500.fsreborn.com/FSR500_Manual.pdf You're welcome to check the manual posted above. Real world Pilots on this exact type and other single engine TPs were involved in the Beta process and fine tuning the product. Join FSReborns discord linked in the manual and you can even chat with them and Raul personally. A custom implementation based on the SDK possibilities to ensure marketplace and xbox compatibility in this case was the goal of the product, therefore going external like a2a was a nogo. Cheers T.
  16. Its hard to compare a2a with any other dev but keep in mind we are talking about different aircraft and engine classes. a2a never did a TP model with full glass and simbrief/navigraph integration. a2a is master in classic piston props. I have posted the manual for Bruce a few messages above. You can take a sneak peak in there and check what you get and even check the included links to the introduction videos: https://fsr500.fsreborn.com/FSR500_Manual.pdf The FSR500 comes with a complete custom flight and engine model, full wear and tear, failures and a lot of stuff around. Abuse the 500 and it will have consequences like on the Comanche. In parts the 500 is deeper in system modelling, in other parts the Comanche. Both are the best you can get in their class. Cheers T.
  17. Bruce, its linked in the EFB in the faq section first topic. Or you will find the link on the official discord in the user2user support section as a pinned topic. Or I can provide you even a direct link ๐Ÿ˜‰ https://fsr500.fsreborn.com/FSR500_Manual.pdf Have fun and cheers T.
  18. Yeah thats def a downside but this time you get at least two nice documents with all infos in it. Some dev still avoid the ingame checklists like plaque, where when they are filled amd setup nicely they are quite useful. EFB... EFB... was that the thing a company I shall not name needed more than a year presenting some really unspectacular def not feature rich version a few days ago? If I compare that to the tablet in the FSreborn 500 I have a hearty laugh ๐Ÿ˜„ Cheers T.
  19. Honestly I can just tell you to stop searching for pics of real planes and go have a flight in the sim version instead and enjoy the more relevant features Raul put a lot of love into. As I said it's on the list but with low prio. We have other nice things on the list. Feel free to head over to the official discord and vote for your wish in the 500-feature-requests thread. Raul will listen and perhaps change priorities. Cheers T.
  20. There is no additional backup instrument in the current version. Actually you have already a backup and redundancy of three G1000 screens and afaik it is even not mandatory from what I heard to have another fourth one. The default backup instruments wouldn't have had the level for the planes quality and creating a custom instrument was delayed as the other features making the 500 so nice to fly and immersive were rated much more relevant. Though it is on the list for a later enhancement. Hope that helps. Cheers T.
  21. I could not resist with so much beauty of a flying box. I have flown the Islander and Trislander before. Though visually they weren't on the top end, they were solid and you had to watch the engines giving it character. The Shed is a step up for sure. More clickable, you can at least simulate failures with pulling on of the over hundred working circuit breakers. The visuals are better than on the BNs but still not where they would make it an instabuy. Lighting with the emissives like on the Trislander and overall quite nice. What did really surprise me on the positive side is a TP model with fully working beta and reverse range with flight idle and ground fine etc. I just did a short hop and did not tip the brakes once on complete landing, turn and taxi to gate. All with throttle only in Beta range and RPMs in low taxi position. That is a night and day comparison if you in contrast see the Dash7 absolutely messed up TP model and ground handling. Small little details like working little fans with spin up sound and working wipers are adding to the immersion. I did only handfly on my short hop without AP and it feels like it looks. Def no fighter plane. Not a real pilot but it feels resonable. Just some quick notes from first flight. Cheers T.
  22. Graham (dev) answered in the fs forums: โ€œStudy Levelโ€ basically means all systems modelled as per real life so a potential Pilot can โ€œStudyโ€ it It does not include Failures as these can be setup via MSFS and wear and tear is also Not in the remit Regarding the TP Modelling though yes, Totally custom, with proper Beta Range, Autofeather and Much more" Cheers T.
  23. What exactly does mean "study level" in regards of features and functionality here? I did not find a clear info on this up to now. Actual wear and tear? Is the TP model custom including smooth beta and reverse and not just the default full blade reverse thingy? I own both Islander and Trislander and was quite happy back then but rarely fly them nowadays as they feel a bit dated already. The few screenhots of the Shed looked nice though. Cheers T.
  24. the Bravo has a button event in the detent zone but no extension of the axis. Blacksquare are the only dev going the split axis way btw and I assume its based on the fact that the Beta range was implemented quite late and added due to community requests short before release with the help from Jaydee. FSReborn implemented it ootb in the beginning and is having a complete smooth Beta to Reverse range below ground idle. Both ways are valid and possible. Split axis limiting the range of normal axis though. I prefer the approach where the customer decides what way to go. A typical default way for standard normal users is still to use the detent as a toggle between normal and reverse range. The same on Blacksquare would apply to enter the reverse range. All other hardcore users will use tools like spad or a&o etc anyway. The Fsreborn 500 btw will be enhanced with a custom throttle calibration later on to even ease the setup for all. Cheers T.
  25. Yes, work will shift to the Phenom 300E next. In parallel some enhancements to the 500 and the Sting are planned in parallel. Cheers T.
