  1. I think it is possible. Try this: Go to the ACT RTE 1 LEGS page and there to a waypoint at cruising hight. Then press RTE DATA on R6. Write e.g. 180/55 and load it up to the appropriate LSK. Then you can do that for all waypoints at cruising hight.
  2. A little success demands for more...After doing some test flights I would like to expand the sharp view over the earth and have the haze as a smaller wall in front of the horizon... Is that possible?
  3. Hi!Today I reinstalled AS6-479. Than I disabeld "Depict FS9 Haze Layer" and the result was wonderful! See the image. Many thanks for your help!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/146335.jpg
  4. Hi!Thank you. I'll try it tomorrow and tell you the results. For now I have to sleep. In Germany it's midnight now...
  5. Hi,yes I did. And I just tried it again: at about FL140 the horizon becomes a sharp line...
  6. Hi Jim,"I have the newest Beta version of AS6 and the newest registered FSUIPC."Meanwhile I made a flight with the recommanded settings. With Maximum Visibility 29 in lower altitudes it looks very diffuse and there is no horizon but at higher altitudes the horizon becomes a sharp line. What to do to avoid this?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/146200.jpg
  7. Hi Jim,thank you. Can you tell me please furthermore the right settings of FSUIPC. Normally I should disable all weather settings, but what else can I do to smooth wind, pressure and changes of the clouds?
  8. I've read the "realistic settings" by Jim, but still I'm confused. Therfore I beg you to help me. I would like to have: - a more or less realistic weather impression,- a relativly good FPS,- a horizon which is a little diffuse (no sharp line!).I would like to avoid:- sudden wind and cloud changes,- sudden changes in barometric pressure and temperature during cruise.I have the newest Beta version of AS6 and the newest registered FSUIPC. My favorite aircraft is the PMDG 747F and Pax.Be so kind and tell me exact (for dummies) what to do in FS9, FSUIPC, AS6.Thank you!By the way. Since I bought AS6, I'm much happier!
  9. Mike, thank you for telling PMDG what I think and feel but what I can not express like you. I know PMDG since FLY! There they have been the best add-on programmer and now they have managed to become the same top guys in MSFS!Thanks to you and thanks to PMDG!
  10. After installing 747F latest version and using 2D panel I can not see the virtual cockpit, no left window frame, no cockpit environment - although this option is enabled in the PMDG menue MODEL/SHOW VIRTUAL COCKPIT. So I have to do this adjustment again every first time using the 747.
  11. Speed 230. The direct (on the left) 1 minute, the parallel (on the right) 2 minutes and the teardrop also 1 minute.
  12. I just made a short testflight including the three different holdings - direct, parallel, teardrop - and it was really awesome!!! With great precision and absolutely correct. It is a pure pleasure to fly this aircraft. Many thanks to the whole team of PMDG!!!
  13. Thank you for the tip, but I didn't find anything...
  14. Hi Stephen, did you delete the numbers of the visibility limits? And did you do anything in the FSUIPC?
  15. Damian, thank you for this detailled explanation. When do you think is future?
  16. "You can use also smooth horizon in ASG."ThanksChris WillisThat I didn't know - where, please?
  17. You are an expert! Thank you very much!
  18. Sometimes during the preflight I couldn't open the ARR page from DEP/ARR. But after reaching cruise level it was possible. At other times it was feasible during preflight... I didn't find an explanation in the manual. Do you know one?
  19. I miss an explanation of the HOLD page in the FMC. Is there a chance to get one?
  20. There are airways, e.g. ATLAS AIR, which instruct their pilots to use allways at least autobrake 3.
  21. It was a flight without wind and the descent started automatically. But with CI 250 it started later and with a higher descent rate. Therfore I was instructed to use drag.
  22. Drag or not may be also depending on the cost index. When I take 100 there is no need to use the spoilers, but when I take 250 CI I had to use drag.
  23. To your second question: Have a look to VNAV DES FORECAST. There you can fill in the transition altitude.
