Rendering is wrong - the city is not here..?
I'm glad to see you have figured it out. It looks like a difficult problem you have solved, not sure if anyone else could have been much help. Enjoy the scenery!

Can't seem to assign a key to Top Down View
I have a similar problem. I do have keys mapped to the top down view (F12 and a button on my flight yoke) but neither works! This started happening a couple months ago. Very annoying. I have no problems with other key/button assigments.

AI flying at unrealistic flight levels
I am using FSX SP2 with the MyTraffic FS Live add-on. Just recently I've noticed AI jets flying at unrealistic flight levels such as FL730, FL580, etc. Anyone ever see this before? What determines the flight levels for AI traffic, the traffic .bgl files or the flight simulator software itself? Thanks for any help!!Dan

Don't miss this one: a NEW FSX optimizer
NOTE TO TILEPROXY USERS: Don't use this FPS_Limiter tool! Setting in-game FPS to UNLIMITED will kill Tileproxy's Accesses per second resulting in blurry textures, even on a very high end system. When using this tool I was only getting about 80max accesses per second. When limiting the FPS in-game to 28 it shot up to 500+ and got rid of all the blurries.

In-Flight values for tiles per second?
Nevermind! I was trying out that FPS_Limiter tool that was posted about in the main FSX Forum. Do NOT use that tool if you are using TileProxy! It says to set FSX to unlimited frame rate and let the tool limit the frame rate, but whenever FSX is set to unlimited frame rate it kills Tileproxy's frame loading. With FPS limit set in game I am getting good tile access numbers such as 400+ per second. So lesson learned, don't set in game UNLIMITED frames per second even when using that FPS_Limiter tool!!!

strange tiles during flight with TP
I see that if I stop and restart TileProxy while FSX is running, but it usually fixes itself after a few minutes ..

In-Flight values for tiles per second?
I have a AMD Phenom 9850 overclocked slightly to around 2650Mhz. The Tileproxy manual says with an AMD Phenom I should be getting 600-1000 tiles per second during flight. I don't get anywhere close to this-- I am usually around 80 tiles per second. I use CoreTemp32 to monitor my CPU usage and TileProxy loads up 3 of my cores to the max but my tiles per second accesses hardly ever goes over 100 during flight. If I pause FSX and let Tileproxy load everything up, those 3 cores will drop down to 0-20% usage. When loading a flight though the tiles per second will go much higher to the 600-1000 range. My load times in FSX are very fast. I am a bit unsatisfied with the load times of the tiles; I have to pause FSX a lot to let TileProxy catch up so I was suspicious with my low tile per second values. But seeing as how 3 of my cores get totally maxed out and my CPU temperature goes up to 49C I don't see how I can get TileProxy to have any better performance. Is anyone out there seeing tile accesses per second in the 600-1000 range during flight like the manual says? Or does anyone have a similar CPU as mine? If so what is your tiles per second rate like? Thanks

Tile proxy problem?
I see the following lines in the TileProxy output when I load up FSX and start a flight:proxyUser: Simulation started!Simulation Initial State: STARTED!proxyUser: Simulation stopped!Simulation Intial State: STOPPED!That sure doesn't seem right. This is when the flight is just starting to load and is about 10% or so through loading. Also, why does TileProxy attempt to install the SP1 version of SimConnect during its own installation? The SimConnect that is part of the Tileproxy installation is not the same that comes with FS Deluxe...

Tile proxy problem?
I just installed TP for the first time today, and I have the same exact problem. I haven't gotten TP to work yet. I have a completely standard FSX installation (FSX Deluxe with SP2 and Acceleration) on a Windows XP 32-bit PC. I have followed Ed Truthan's instructions exactly and I am using his ProxyUser.ini file without any modifications. FSX is installed in the standard C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X location. Tileproxy is downloading the correct .bmp's and I see them in the various C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\cache.service3 directories. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\TileProxy Photoreal World also has a bunch of directories but almost all of the data is in the LOD8 directory. The size of LOD8 is 967MB and the size of the TileProxy Photoreal World directory is 1.05GB. When TP loads up it shows the various LOD circles "filling in" with *'s and Preloaded = 19236, but Individual tile accesses is always 0. In FSX I see the ring around my location in the top-down view and the outermost parts of the ring show the correct LOD8 images, but where the higher res images are supposed to be are squares of the LOD8 scenery that are smaller and smaller in size and all jumbled around. For example I'm trying to use this at the KLWM airport and I see a very high view of the tip of Cape Cod all jumbled around and turned around all around me.What is going on? Is TP having trouble converting the .bmp's to .bgl's ? Is FSX just not loading them correctly?

Problems with the default Airbus mission
I just did this mission yesterday and definitely had issues 3) and 4) also. I had problems with the autopilot at first until I figured out you have to "push" the knobs in such as the Altitude and Speed buttons in order to activate them, even if you have autopilot and auto-throttle enabled. Otherwise without the autopilot I had issue 1) also. I just used the autopilot to set my speed and altitude according to the ATC instructions.

Moving on
Hey "Bud", thanks for contributing to the community by attacking me. I am not going to defend my "attitude". My points have already been argued by others in this forum. What if everyone sent a thank you to the author whenever they downloaded some freeware? The authors would be inundated with "thank yous". I guess according to you everyone should just make some generic "thank you" e-mail, and send it to every author of every piece of freeware I download. I'll construct this e-mail right now.Hello [insert author's name],Thanks for creating [description of author's freeware]. I really enjoyed it! Keep up the good work! That's real personal. If I were an author, I would get rather annoyed at receiving all of these thank-you's after awhile, like another person posted. This is not to say I have anything against thanking an author, I did just such a thing yesterday which had nothing to do with this thread for the author of the great Louisville, KY scenery on this site, and he said he greatly appreciated my e-mail.I have myself contributed freeware although not to the FS community, and my motivation was solely to add to the community and share my work with others. It made no difference one way or another whether people thanked me or not, as long as I knew they were downloading and using my software.

Moving on
aww, I downloaded your westford MA Haystack scenery and enjoyed it. I have downloaded so much scenery I would be very busy if I sent a thank you note to every author. I think you should just be happy that people are downloading and using your scenery and not expect to get anything back.
