EHSI Gyro drift
Hello I've changed [direction_indicators] section in aircraft.cfg. Carenado planes always have vacuum gyro for some reason, and for me it looks very unrealistic when you get gyro drift on an EHSI. So I changed it for electro-magnetic slaved compass and it works without gyro drift. [direction_indicators] //1 Type: 0=None, 1=Vacuum Gyro, 2=Electric Gyro, 3=Electro-Mag Slaved Compass, 4=Slaved to another //2 Indicator number of slaving indicator if Type = 4 direction_indicator.0=3,0 Tamas

What about PMDG and classic aircraft
Beechcraft 1900C/D V2? Or a Beech B99? Relatively simple aircraft and still in service. I think PMDG could sell them well. Tamas

What is The Best Twin?
Thank you for sharing your opinions about the Cheyenne. I have to agree with you on some points, it is a bit too stable around all axes, and flying single engine seems to be quite unrealistic indeed. The simulation of a turboprop engine is always an issue in FS (a very few developers can bypass that behavior) and as a real world flight engineer I have the habit that I always keep an eye on the engine gauges trying not to exceeding their limits...)) I like the Trimble GPS so the Cheyenne is the only GA aircraft what i didn't want to modify for using RXP units. But all in all I found that the aircraft performing well. Still one of my favorurites. Is 240GB enough for FSX?
mi17 replied to uhntissbaby111's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcWell we could use NASA's total hard drive capacity for FSX...)) But as Bert said, with managing addons 240 GB can be enough. I am using about the same amount of HDD space (no SSD yet) Tamas

What is The Best Twin?
It's always interesting to read different opinions on flight dynamics. I do not have any real life experience on flying turboprop twins (only gliders and helos), so I'm may be wrong but I consider the Cheyenne's flight model quite authentic within FSX limits. I'm really enjoying the Dukes as well (actually I fly them a bit more frequent), but I don't feel the Cheyenne any worse. Could you highlight what are the points you didn't like? Regards Tamas

What is The Best Twin?
Hello, I would highly recommend Digital Aviation's Piper PA31T Cheyenne. It's too bad that no one ever mentioned her in this topic. Although she isn't as young and bright as some Carenado stuff, but I still love her. Nice visuals inside and out, nice avionics (Including an old-school Trimble GPS), great flight model and a high level of immersion. I've never understood why she is so underrated in the FS community. So as a GA twin fan I consider her as a "Must Have". Yeah, and don't forget the RealAir Dukes with RXPs. Tamas

Carenado aircraft wish list
I would like to see a DHC-3 Otter as there is no quality model of it. Piston or turbine version, or both. I would also encourage Carenado to make more remakes of their old releases like they do with the C206. Piper Cherokee and Archer for example. Tamas edit: with steam cockpit, no G1000 please.

Freeware Aircraft- IL18
Well I am thinking of reinstalling FS2004 for the russian addons only... They have tons of really amazing aircraft and scenery addons for FS2004 ONLY. And most of them for free... If you want to fly in the Western World you can use FSX with your NGX in your ORBX sceneries, etc, for Russia and CIS countries you can use FS9 with these beautiful addon from Avsimrus, Project Tupolev and others. You can even purchase paywares like Igor Suprunov's Yak-40 which is one of my all times favourite. So the "Iron Curtain" still exist, but now between FS2004 and FSX! )) Tamas

Freeware Aircraft- IL18
Hello Dave, Same here, it crashes FSX immediately when I touch the battery switch. I've tried different downloads from different sources, but unfortunately with the same results. I've flown it's original version in the good old FS9 days without any problems, and it was one of my finest freeware aircraft. I really miss it from FSX. Tamas

Secret Project #1: This one is a classic!
I would happily read about his fivehundred freeware aircrafts in his interests section... :)))And probably all the repaints should be there.

10 knots/second deceleration at idle fix
Hi!Thank you Bernt! I've flown a couple of hours with the Caravan equipped with your new fde and I am really happy with it. :) It really feels very close to the real one!Tamas

10 knots/second deceleration at idle fix
Hello! Can I get the fix, please? Carenado's 208 behaves quite strange for sure. I've flown a Caravan Simulator once, and had a few rides as a passenger on a real one. I have only a few impressions rather than experience, so do not expect a serious judgement from me. :)Tamas
