Excel spreadsheet to hold information for saved flights
Hi.I have made a lot of saved flights and also having troubles remembering information for these flights. I therefore decided to make an Excel spreadsheet to hold different information for each saved flight. In the below picture you can see the spreadsheet.I have attached a ZIP file with a copy of the spreadsheet. Those of you who have Excel installed can download the file and edit it to suit your needs - if you like it. I have a single comment to the spreadsheet:Some of the cells have a red arrow in the upper right corner. If you hoover your mouse over such a cell you'll get additional pop up information from that cell. You can add your own comments to each cell. This way you can have a lot of usefull information in a single spreadsheet.Hope someone can use it. And if you make a better designed sheet I hope you will upload it to the community.(Excuse me for my english - but I hope you can get a meaning out of it).Boerge

Floris. Thanks for pointing this out to me. I will try this on my next test flight. :(

MD-11 / Fuel Dump question
Denis.Normally I use the MCDU for fuel planning - and this method is well enough for me. As I mentioned earlier I'm only testing the fuel system - trying to understand how it works. And as you say the advantage of simulation is that one can test (do stupid things to) different systems without hurting anyone. Another advantage is the possibily to get in contact with fellow simmers who have a sense of humor too!

MD-11 / Fuel Dump question
Hi again.I've now done another flight where fuel dump was necessary due to too high landing weight. Dumped amount of fuel was 7800 kg. Please look at the attached picture. When looking at the fuel display there is 18800 kg. available. But the MCDU tells me there is a UFOB of 26600 kg. Should the MCDU not reflect the amount of fuel after a dump? Am I misunderstanding something - or is this a (small) bug?BTW - also take a look at the wind shown on the ND. Most of the flight (SCEL - SCCI) was in heavy wind coming from the west. There's a difference between heading and tracking of 14 degrees!Anyway. The MD-11 is a fantastic airplane simulation! And the landing went well.Boerge

MD-11 / Fuel Dump question
Hi Chris.Thank you for answering me. I now understand it's not possible to dump fuel to max landing weight. This means I have to be in the holding pattern for another 30 min. or so - before landing.Boerge

MD-11 / Fuel Dump question
Hi.At the moment I'm trying to understand how to dump fuel. But the dump stopped before I wish it should have stopped! I've attached a picture where you can see dump status on the instruments when the dumping stopped. It should have continued to a GW of 205.000 kg. Also I've been reading in the doc files trying to understand what I'm missing or doing wrong. Can someone tell me in a simple way (english is not my native language) what I have to do to get the dump continued. For any advise I thank you in forehand.RegardsBoerge (Jensen is my last name)

Great deal on new video card
Maybe a video card with 1 GB of Ram is best for use in combination with 64 Bit OS. A 32 Bit OS can adress 4 GB only. If you have tweaked the OS to use say 2,5 GB of Ram for programs (to get rid of OOM's) then there's only 1,5 GB left for OS and video card. If you use a card with 1 GB of Ram then I think you have a big risk for system freeze. But maybe I'm wrong here?Boerge

Screen resolution PMDG MD-11 FSX
Hi.First of all I love my PMDG MD-11. But for sure - my wife do not like her! Never mind, it's a fantastic plane to fly. I have had it (FSX version) since it was released. Maybe I should tell you something about my PC.It's a HP xw4600 workstation. CPU is Core2 Quad Q9450 @ 2,66 GHz. RAM = 4 GB. OS is Vista Business SP1 - 32 Bit. The system has 2 HD's. All my FS related programs are installed on Disk FSX and have all rights for reading and writing.I have increased the userva to 2816. This means that I have 2,75 GB Ram for program(s) and 1,25 GB for the operating system and the video card which is a GeForce 9800 GTX (512 MB Ram) with driver 180.48. FS is FSX SP2. I do not have OOM's at all. Some times my system freeze but it's seldom. My monitor is a HP LP2465 (24") and the screen resolution is 1920 x 1200. I have attached a jpg file from a flight from EKCH to ESSA. When at cruise level I normally have 30 - 60 FPS. But it depends a little on the weather. My weather program is ASA. I also use a registered version of FSUIPC. FSUIPC is used to smooth the weather. At the moment ASA cannot be used for that - at least not with a good result. I also use RadarContact 4.3. My flight planner is FlightSim Commander. Please take a closer look at the picture. There's a lot of information in it. I think it describes the quality of this amazing PMDG MD-11. Thanks to all who have been involved in the developing!(English is not my first language - sorry for that).RegardsBoerge

Questions Concerning Skyscape And Texture Size ...
Hi.I have a short question regarding ActiveSkyAdvanced. My ASA is upgraded from ASX. In ASX I used to have checked both SkyScape options. In ASA UserInterface I don't see any possibility to check for SkyScape modes. When I look in ASA FSXOptions there are 2 lines for SkyScape. Both arguments are set to False. Does a change to True make any difference? EnableSkyScapeMode = FalseUseSkyScapeforStratus = FalseI also have a short question regarding texture size in XGraphics. In XGraphics I have 3D Cloud Resolution set to 512 x 512 and 3D Cloud Image Mode set to DXT5 Format. Are ASA AutoSnapShots done with respect to these settings? Please note that english is not my first language. But I hope it's possible to get a meaning out of my questions.RegardsBoerge
