Predator-I'm using the panel.cfg for the FMC but am unable to get it to show up in the SIM when clicking on the icon or using the keyboard. Thanks.

I have a similar issue with the Sky Decks CRJ Panel but it only affects the chronometer face - which is black. I also run Win 7 64bit. Anyone else seen this? Thanks.
  3. It can definitely be done. There are freeware titles such as EPWA by Mateusz Stabryla that uses NAV2 frequencies to turn on/off the appr lights. Pretty sure it's done with .bgl file coding. Not a scenery design guy so the best bet is to plunk this question down in the scenery design forum. I'm sure you'll get all sorts of info.
  4. For every instance I've had of this it hasn't been raining but it was close to dawn.
  5. There's something to say about a seven year old software title that other software authors are still selling addons for. Happy Birthday FS9. For the original FS9 developers - you have created a legacy, thank you.

Awesome! Thanks for the update, looking forward to trying out your work. Sounds like you're putting a lot of effort into it which should make it worth waiting for.
  7. I'm having trouble disengaging heading mode on the AP mode when intercepting the LOC. I have to turn the AP rotary mode switch to APPR mode then back to NAC/LOC to drop out the heading mode. :( I just purchased the 727 v2.4. Any help would be great. Thanks.
  8. Nothing wrong with you my friend, the PMDG is a better product. One of my favorites to land.
  9. Answer to number 1a: Good 1b: depends which PMDG product, but yes.Answer to number 2: Don't know, only have the STD version.Answer to number 3: YES!!! I have both and once I flew the MADDOG, I never reloaded the Flight 1 product. Not to say the F1 MD80 is bad, it just doesn't compare IMHO. The MADDOG has one of the best VC's ever made.Sorry, went off track a bit. The LDS767 is a legend - one of the first aircrafts I reinstall when reinstalling FS9.

Negative - I've got FS9 (with several addons) on my sytem with W7 64 Pro and it works just fine. Visit the W7 OS pinned thread on this forum and it has all the tips and pointers you need to run FS9 smoothly.
  11. Attitude? I wasn't the poster dis'n folks because their system isn't up-to-snuff. I was simply saying I prefer performance (and that includes stability as well as speed) over enhanced graphics/eye candy. I have FSX on my PC now and run it nearly as often as I do FS9 and when it comes down to it, I prefer FS9 performance over the extra features and enhancements of FSX - a matter of opinion, that's all.
  12. Uhhh, my system isn't exaclty a p.o.s., besides, there's folks like yourself that have invested huge in a top-o-the-line system and are still struggling to get FS9-like performance and I'm guessing, no matter how much 'reverse engineering' occurs, it ain't ever gonna happen. Thanks for the lesson in socio-economics.
  13. Wha? Don't let people from Buffalo hear that!
  14. This is supposed to get fixed in the next SP, which I haven't seen an E.C.D. for. Dawn/dusk texture-blending is a contributor? I haven't heard that. The thread says that if you disable the icing effect it doesn't happen either, but I haven't tested for that.-Greg Guerinot
