Is it strange that a rookie like me love flying the big PMDG MD11 a lot more then the smaller Wilco Embraer? After reading the manual and flying the tutoral a few times i love flying the big MD11. It has a great FMS and a good working AP-system. A few days ago i bought the Wilco E-Jets Serie with the embraer 190. After some flying with this baby i run back to the big MD11. The FMS of the embraer is reasonable but the AP is just inconsistent. Is the PMDG MD11 very good programmed or is the Wilco that bad?

Well, PMDG is very very good at what they do. Using their products is just a pleasure. Most of Wilco's offerings are mediocre and lack polish.

I'm the same way. I dont own the PMDG MD-11 but I own the JS4100 and LDS 767 and I fly those way more that I fly the E-Jets. I dont mind the E-Jets but I dont like how they do the lighting in the VC and the lack of control you have over it. I barely ever fly the E-Jets to be honest.I have a feeling once the PMDG 737NGX comes out I wont be flying any of my other airliners, at all.

the md-11 as the 747x pmdg has 1 small but BIG problem in my opinion. in virtual cockpit u cant see the glass...its really a bad feeling especially for who like me love flying in vc. look like that ure flying but u can put the head outside the cockpit because no glass. i dont understand why the pmdg care so much at the systems (thx so much for that) but a simple thing like this lack. hope the 737ngx will be different. u can see that effects in other payware planes and especially inside the DEFAULT PLANES? if the pmdg make a small patch for create the glass inside the cockpit i buy the md11 instantly. i hope in a miracle!!! i cross my fingers

My first contact with the E170/90 was similar to yours, I'd never came back to it. BUT the regional series E135/145 are very nices. Much better then the bigger ones and I fly them often. PMDG, LevelD and CaptainSim are of course in their own level. But the embraer is very convenient for their size and performances. As a bonus in the regionals you get feelthere Call (voice checklists). I recommend...RV

Considering how quiet they've kept it and how long they've been working on it I'm sure they have more than a few surprises in store for us.

when i have a little time ill post a photo....i was just describing it in the funny way for say that in virtual cockpit the glass arent been made and look like ure piloting the airplane without the glass like driving and i dont understand why.....even the default plane have it and most of payware. i repeat again that pmdg planes are best for good looking graphic and system...but this small absence (but big for me) hope can be done in future for the 744x and md11.

The glass that I prefer is the glass that some people actually bump into, because they aren't aware of it. In the world of aviation this is more important for visual reality.So, the glass effect is okay for me however, some aircraft do have tinted glass. Perhaps this was what you was eluding to?

IMO the 747X is still the best addon PMDG have ever made, showing its age a little but the flight characteristics, options (freighter, pax) and even virtual cockpit are still A+ to me. Love it to death. Haven't flown the sim in a while but I feel tomorrow is a long haul Cargolux or UPS flight from ELLX or EDDK to RKSI
