Massive Windows Upgrades released today!
You're wrong. You won't even be allowed access to the cockpit. But you can have a window seat and look at the wing flex and spoilers deploy. So be grateful.. :( Ian

Open letter to ORBX....
Bum kissing?Time for some British understatement, I think. It's not bad at all. In fact, it's pretty good. :( And I look forward to future ORBX products of a similar high standard. Ian

Not so! It's an alternative spelling.. :( And that's the whole point of my post. As long as the meaning's clear, what difference does it make??Note: at least one grammatical/spelling error has been included in this post to exercise the grey matter of those so inclined..Good work on your index by the way...- "In Real Life"
You're on really shakey ground here. Especially since you don't know how to use an apostrophe properly. Nor do you know that you don't need a capital letter after a hyphen. But I understand what it is to have a bee in the bonnet about something. There are plenty of things that get my goat. Only, this is a flight simming forum, open to people of all nationalities and standards of education. As long as the meaning is clear, perhaps we should just go along with it??Happy simming.Obama- Boxed MD-11 prices
This is aimed mostly at the British contingent, but did anyone else manage to buy the boxed version of the PMDG MD-11 (published by Aerosoft) on Amazon for- thinking of buying ariane 737-800
Don't buy it online. You can get a boxed version from Play.com for- Is the MD-11 suitable for me?
Well, I've ordered another gig of RAM, because it's cheap and it'll be useful anyway. I also tried Tweak FS recently and found it gave a good boost in performance when just concentrating on IFR flight.Yes, I had a look through some posts on this subject. Maybe I'll hold out on the MD-11 till I can get a new machine. I noticed PC Pilot magazine here in the UK has reviewed some PCs dedicated to FS. I can't believe how far things have moved on in the space of a few years. One thing I wished I'd done though was keep my copy of FS9. I gave it to a charity shop.. But hopefully someone's enjoying it - maybe on a machine even worse than mine! Ian- Is the MD-11 suitable for me?
HelloI've just got back into FS (and AVSIM) after a long lay-off. I really fancy trying the new MD-11, but my machine hasn't been upgraded for a few years, and I'm wondering if it could handle the new plane. These are the rough specs:AMD 3500+ 2.2 GhzRadeon X8001 GB RAM I can run FSX reasonably well at medium settings with the stock aircraft, but haven't got any advanced add-ons. I can't afford any new hardware at present, but I'm prepared to forsake some of the eye candy in the sim for the sake of a reasonably fluid simulation of the MD-11.What do you reckon? Any opinions or advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Ian Carter - "In Real Life"
