FSL A320 now generally available
Hi! Thanks for the replies! @Skelsey and Ahsmatt7: thanks that is good to know. Of course I know taxes are always part of a price (as a citizen of The Netherlands with high tax rates we know all about it, haha!) but indeed in my country, 21% VAT is always included indeed so we see a final price. Here it is stated explicitly when it is excl. VAT. But also in my experience with most FS online sellers, including the 'big fish' such as Aerosoft, Just Flight, tax is included in the visible price, and it is clearly indicated (in the first case, it says explicitly 'incl. VAT' and in the latter you immediately see an end price as well, of which I now understood is not really meant to be). I guess I am used to this, which in my opinion seems very clear and transparent to the prospective buyer. Simmarket actually asks you for your country as soon as you enter their site, so all prices are immediately shown correctly, so this would prevent having to list a whole list of prices for each country. But for me it would have been just enough for FSLabs to add '+your local VAT' to the price information (without of course stating all the different prices for countries). Just for clarity, as the user base is so international and so as to prevent these kind of 'surprises'. Just my 2 cents! Greetings Lennard

FSL A320 now generally available
Hi, Just to make sure: I read everywhere that this Bus is supposed to cost 99,95$, but no one seems to mention that this is the price without taxes... After VAT is added, in my country 21%, the price is not at all 99,95$ but actually 120,94$. Despite the high quality of this product, which I am sure is definitely worth it, it seems a bit unpleasantly misleading to me that even on the FSLabs website it is not at all stated that taxes still have to be added to the mentioned price...It was a surprise for me which only showed up right before I wanted to confirm my credit card payment. Best wishes Lennard

ASA on different computers?
Lennard78 replied to Lennard78's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumDear Jim,Thank you for this. It seems that networking the computers is a good idea. Concerning the third option - I have no idea what you mean, but I think I could guess (whispering: buying a second license? Or quitting FS9 altogether? ;-)))I will mail you the license key.Thank you, best wishesLennard

ASA on different computers?
Hello,My FSX and FS9 are installed on two different dedicated computers. I mostly use FSX (on a multicore processor, i7) but occasionally I go back to FS9 (on a single-core CPU). Originally I downloaded and installed ASA on the FSX computer, then I also installed the same program (with the same activation code) on the FS9 computer. As a result, I constantly had to re-activate ASA when using it on either of the computers, if previously I used it on the other one. I can understand this for copyright reasons, but is there a way to be authorized to use ASA on FSX on one computer and the same version of ASA for FS9 on the other computer, without having to reactivate them? In the meantime I have reactivated ASA on my FS9 computer so many times that the program is now blocked, making it impossible for me to use in FS9.I hope this can be solved somehow.Thank you, best wishesLennard

Vista Home Premium No Speech Recognition...(!)
- ASA Import flight plan error
Lennard78 replied to Lennard78's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumDear Jim,Thank you very much for your reply and apologies for replying so late from my side, I was away on a work trip.In fact, with the new interim update, things work completely fine!! I am very happy with this. So the above steps are not necessary anymore as the service pack has solved this issue for me.Thank you for your wonderful and exemplary support, and please keep this tradition alive!Best wishesLennard- Another Voice Problem Vista 64
Hi Vann,In fact it turns out to be regional specific: the Dutch Vista Home Premium version has no speech engine, together with some other more language "minorities".....(http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=239400)Best wishesLennard- Vista Home Premium No Speech Recognition...(!)
Hoi Lion,Yes it is quite crazy - if I would have known this before, I would never have chosen for a Dutch version. But do you mean that even when you change to English (with an English desktop), you cannot get the speech engine to work? I ask this, because as per Jean-Paul's suggestion (http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=239730) I have downloaded this Vistalizator tool, and indeed I now have an English desktop which I do not mind. It does say in the Control Panel that I have the English Speech Recognizer now, and correctly configured. I was very hopeful, but again VoxATCX keeps giving me the error message that no US English compatible speech engine is used....Lennard- ASA Import flight plan error
Lennard78 replied to Lennard78's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumHi Jean-Paul, Jim,Thank you very much for all your help!!!Concerning the ASA flightplan: unfortunately I must say that changing the decimal did not help. It was already set to ".", but I tried changing it the other way around but still the annoying error message came up which forces you to quit ASA altogether. I also noticed that the error message pops up as soon as I touch the "Briefing" tap, so even earlier than "Change Flight Plan". I am thinking of reinstalling ASA, but since for the rest it works really well I am a bit reluctant to do so....Perhaps it has to do with the fact that I use Windows Vista 64-bit?Concerning the speech engine: thank you very much indeed, I immediately installed it and now I do have the speech engine!! This is wonderful and I will soon write about your post in the VoxATC forum as well.Lennard- ASA Import flight plan error
Lennard78 replied to Lennard78's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumHi Jean-Paul,Thank you very much for your answer! I am going to try it as soon as I and let you know! Sounds like the solution. In the meanwhile I am sorry I installed the Dutch version (other things like VoxATC do not work on a localized version, as there is no speech integration built in, for example....pfffff.....)RegardsLennard- ASA Import flight plan error
Lennard78 replied to Lennard78's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumDear Jim,Thank you for your quick reply. To be more precise - actually this message comes immediately when I hit the button "Change Flightplan" under the Briefing tab, so I have not even had the choice of choosing one. But all my flightplans are generated by FSBuild. The language is Dutch - Vista Home Premium. Best wishesLennard- Vista Home Premium No Speech Recognition...(!)
Dear Zane,Thank you very much for your answer and the link and my apologies for responding late. I checked this thread but unfortunately it ends without an answer for the problem that I (and the other person on that forum) has. I think, as Dbrucem says, I am quite out of luck here, being Dutch...:-( (first time it shows so directly, actually:-)) I will continue looking for possible ways to solve this and will post if I come up with something, hopefully.....Lennard- ASA Import flight plan error
Hi,Congratulations with this wonderful product (ASA). It all works well with my FSX setup, except when I want to import a flight plan via "Briefing". I get a long error message when I hit the "import" tab, with the last lines being:"Method not found: Boolean User_FlightPlan.FlightPlan.get_FlightPlanCancelled()."I have no option then but to close ASA.Could anybody help me solve this?Thank you,Lennard- Vista Home Premium No Speech Recognition...(!)
Hello,I am wondering how/whether people with Vista Home Premium are able to use VoxATC. For me VoxATCX is unusable at the moment, it turns out, because I keep getting the message that I should have a US English compatible speech recognizer. I thought it was a bug on my system, but it seems not. I have asked Microsoft support today, and they have explained to me that Vista Home Premium (at least the Dutch version) has no speech recognizer built in! Speech recognition seems to be a feature of Vista Ultimate, and good old XP. So VoxATC is actually unusable for Home Premium users unless they are looking for some third-party speech recognition add-ons. I did not know this beforehand. Are there any other people with Vista Home Premium, and how do they solve it? Are there any suggestions for a (preferably freeware) speech engine? Thanks for your answer(s)!Lennard- Another Voice Problem Vista 64
Hi Foto,My re-installation did not help unfortunately...The same problem. Do you also use Vista (64) Home Premium? Because I just called Microsoft, and they have explained to me that Vista Home Premium has no speech engine built in! So VoxATC is actually unusable unless Vista Home Premium-users are looking for some third-party speech recognition add-ons. I did not know this; I suggested Tegwyn to actually put this info on the VoxATC website. I kept thinking it is a bug in my set-up but Microsoft says it isn't....I have no idea whether such add-ons are free or payware, but I will have a look now. I assume you use Vista Ultimate or XP, as with those there is a speech engine integrated, as I understood? Am interested to hear. Best wishes, Lennard- Another Voice Problem Vista 64
Hi!Thanks for those replies. In fact I decided to do the worst thing and that is doing a complete reinstall of my FSX plus addons, since I keep having lots of trouble with other addons as well. I thought it might have to do with the fact that FSX is installed in the default X86/Program Files/Microsoft Games folder, which is not advised (C:\FSX instead). I do not think it will have any effect on Voxatc but I will let you know. A few days ago I also sent an email to Tegwyn West via the VoxATC contact page, but so far no answers....Keep you postedLennard- Another Voice Problem Vista 64
Actually, to be more exact: I get the message "Cannot initialise voice recognition. Ensure that you have a US English compatible recogniser selected. See help file"Any help would be appreciated! Lennard- Another Voice Problem Vista 64
Hello,When I try to start VoxatcX I keep getting the error message that I should install a US English-speaking voice. I have followed all the steps in the VoxatcX Help-section and I configured Voice Setup. The voice I use are the default voices; with the default Microsoft Anna as the main voice (her language is US English). Still Voxatc says no compatible voice is set up. Does anyone know how to solve this? I am using FSX on a Vista 64-bit computer.Thank you,Lennard - ASA Import flight plan error
