  1. Thank you, certainly hadn't seen that before. Will look out for other pausible flightplans as well.
  2. Hello ladies and gentlemen, I was wondering if anyone is aware of an ai package (or even just flightplans and accompanying models/repaints for the dassault falcon jets. The bbj's, gulfstreams, bombardiers, cessnas etc are all covered but I can't seem to find anything similar for the falcons. Regards
  3. It would be nice if the Thread starter's post was read carefully before posting, he is talking about AI not himself flying there. Also, a319/a320, 737-700/800 for Avianca, Gol, Tam etc operate regular commercial service into that airport. Also to the OP, it is something you may have to ignore if you don't want to make all your AI 737/A320 aircraft STOL aircraft. Although there is always the option of making separate individual aircraft folders for aircraft STOL version of your AI aircraft. E.g. I have a regular folder for my all my AI Q400 aircraft and I have a separate folder for an STOL version of Porter's Q400 that fly into CYTZ which has a very short runway and steep ILS approach.
  4. Hello Jive1, What you want to modify is in the aircraft cfg. [TurbineEngineData] static_thrust= You'll want to increase static thrust by about 1000-2000 for twin engine 737, a320 family aircraft.
  5. Couldn't have said it any better. I remember he was the first person to respond to my first ever question about fs. This is so sad, RIP David, I will miss seeing your friendly face and posts in the forums.
  6. Hi, so after quite a while of using the cyyz scenery by Dennis Di Franco, i finally decided to add crossing runways, so all 5 runways can be used @ once. I've done this a lot however for once ADE has me stumped. I've checked to see no errors have occurred but when i try to compile the airport through ADE, the bgl compiler crashes but it says airport compiled when in reality it did not compile the airport. If anyone would please like to look at the file for me ( i can upload it here) and see if they can manage to compile it for me?Thank youWalter O
  7. Hi, I know you specified freeware but if by any chance you have the cls a340-500/600 installed, i have modified the panel to work with the vasfmc a380. If you would like this panel, feel free to pm me.CheersWalter O
  8. Hmm, the pitch trim values the FMC suggests are a bit inadequate for the merge. I tend to add 2.0 to 2.5 to the suggested pitch trim values. E.g. FMC pitch trim = 7.00, set pitch trim = 9.00.I haven't had a tail strike with the 300er or 200lr and always lift up at or about the calculated v2 speed.Try it out and tell me if works for you.CheersMr W.

Hmm, this might seem like a silly question but is your pitot heat on?
  10. Hello,This thread on page 6 will be of help to you.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/291762-the-ultimate-pss-777-fde-tweak/CheersWalter
  11. Morning fellow virtual aviators,To those who have the wilco or wilco/cls a340-600, what would be the ideal fuel flow scalar?I have the latest wilco service pack and the fuel flow scalar on that is 0.73?I'm asking this because the fuel burn values seems really low for an a340-600. E.g I did a 2800nm flight, roughly 6hrs (average winds= -16kts) @ mach 0.84 with 386 pax & 80,000lbs cargo. Total flight fuel was 105,000lbs. This is about the same i've seen on a 777-200er rw flight report doing the exact same journey. So i was wondering if it was just me or the fuel scalar (or whatever it is in the .air file that control fuel burn) is a little inaccurate?CheersWalter
  12. The 1.15 fuel flow scalar seems to work just fine on the B77L.Tested this on a flight from EGLL-YSSY about 9190nm (+ head wind and tail wind components).Total fuel consumption was 329,441lbs with a ZFW = 420,000lbs (317 pax and 37000lbs cargo).I'll try the B77W on a 7500nm route later on in the week and see what figure works best though 1.15 seems fine so far.:)
  13. Hello,First of all thank you to twasono for the files, flown them and they are awesome.Though i did also notice the fuel consumption of the 77L and 77W were on the low side and i was wondering what values you tweaked yours to, to get much closer to the accurate value?Cheers.
  14. Thank you guys for the responses. Very true most aircraft pitch down when flaps are extended but when a 620,000lbs B744 @ 200KIAS is pitching down 3-5 degrees below zero with only flap 5 extended...kinda weird. I wish i had a reference to tweak the lift scalar to. If anyone does have flap settings that work well, please let me know if you can help. I will go look on the pmdg & posky forums again, though i doubt i'll find much as neither of them support the merge.ThanksMr W
