Good day, after the purchase of the 777 (I don't know if it's connected or not), i've noted in my NGX one little "problem" In fact before descending the T/D green write over my route in the PFD start flashing fastly or moving up and down fastly. the airplane is able to descend and the path is always correct, but I've never noted this kind of flashing or moving of T/D, it was every time fixed and stable in my route. Any Suggestions? Cheers

Well like Ryan said in one post, is a knowing FSX bug, but like in the NGX the problem is minimized and you can slow down 1 or 2 fps (in my configuration), in the 777 (that was presented lighter than the NGX) my framedrop is 12 fps! That is really much and should (I really hope so) be corrected! B) :mellow:

Well, i've never noted in the NGX but I believe in you :lol: So that will be PMDG with its fixes to minimize this annoying problem as they've made with NGX I'll exercise to put mouse outside the window when i don't need it! Thanks for your replay

This is the real problem, to my mind, I've the same situation too. Ok it's a FSX limitation but in the NGX it doesn't occur. I loose 12 fps, there are too much! But as always I'm sure that PMDG will fix this annoying cursor problem!

Well Alex, of course PMDG (as usual) will find the solution for all, and will come out SP1 etc etc... The mouse problem is strange, that is the first time it occurs in my simulator (even not with the NGX it occurred). But after 2 days of test, I can confirm that on ground, on taxi, on takeoff, on climbing, approach, landing, and taxi to gate, mouse drops down my framerate (-12 fps!!). And I'm also sure, that PMDG with the first SP release will introduce a performance manager and will make the mouse pointer less heavy, and ininfluent as the NGX. Cheers

Thank You for your answer, but I think that is a small Issue with the virtual cockpit of the 777. In an Italian forum I've read that even in the iFly 737 there was a frame drop caused by the mouse, and they have solved with a service pack.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubxbFv8rkz4 That was the problem (i've linked a video only to show the kind of problem!) In fact the 777 it's the only airplane that cause that drop (the NGX not) so that it isn't a my spec problem! I hope that PMDG can solve that!

I can confirm that having the mouse over the Virtual cockpit cause a framerate drop! I've tested in different situation and now i'm sure about that! After anothers test I CAN CONFIRM that my framerate drops during from 5/6 seconds depends on mouse active over virtual cockpit. Infact if the mouse is outside the FSX window, or it's inactive I don't have theese kind of struttering and drops!

I've done the defragmentation! I do it everytime I install something new! For the refresh rate, 8 it seems to fix all my troubles! Stay tuned for others news!

Hey Man! I've tried your "Fix" and sets 8 to My 777 ND & PFD.... Well I've done a take off from OMDB and my framerate drops to 20, is gone away :blink: Now I'll try a full flight (with taxi approach and land), if you solve my problem I'll gave you a beer! :lol:

After another some tests I can see that the problem in frame rate drop (19/20) from 30 for me, is occuring when: -Sometimes moving the Mouse - I've given aircraft full throtte and the virtual cockpit of the airplane moves all back for the trhust power - I've looked outside (obviously from the front glass). Hope a performance fix will come outside, thanks PMDG for all your support! Really appreciated

Arjen you are right, but We all know, FSX has its limitation unfortunately. As a user, of another forum, creator of panels usually said: FSX should be reprogrammed from base! I'm sure that PMDG will solve all this problem (even I'm sure that there something to fix in the virtual cockpit, because there are sometimes performance loss). As the NGX in 1 month (or less) we'll have a fantastic product!

I've manually reduced textures of Virtual Cockpit with Photoshop and DTX Plugin and resized them from 1024 to 512 px. The frame rate is impressive better (in my system...). I've noted virtually stutter during takeoff and landings and sometimes during taxi with framerate that goes down to 19-20 and return to 30 after TOFF. With NGX, 744 and MD11 this ""problem"" didn't occur. To my mind it should be something in the virtual cockpit that disturb (eg some kind of calculation or a texture) that cause this problem! I'm sure that PMDG will investigate and resolve!

I'll try now 60 FPS for displays, hope give best result even to me! I've noted some LOC troubles in approach to VMMC, and some AP disconnect troubles (continue Warning system sounds, they only stop if I engage again the Autopilot). Really good aircraft, as I said users are the best beta tester (with always respect for the fantastic work of the Beta tester team!!) As RSR said, is really easy fall in love with this lady! EDIT I've tried, for me the best performance is fixed to 15 Nothing to do, I've noted virtually stutter during takeoff and landings with framerate that goes down to 19-20 and return to 30 after TOFF. I think that only an update with a Service Pack could help us! So we should stay tuned ^_^

Zeljko you are welcome, just one information about soundcard, could you link some model or some information about it? I'm interested in adding to my pc!

I've read that in some pc delting this folder helped a lot, in my case i think that helped, but not a lot. I'm also not a lover of RAAS system, so I think i'll keep this deactivated! B)

Really Amazing post and advices, so I've done theese things: 1) Resize Virtual Cockpit Textures, 512 px from 1024 px 2) Block Frame in PMDG777 config from 0 to 15 3) Delete RAAS folder (made a backup of it) 4) Reinstall a new version of FSUIPC (the last one was published on 5/08/2013 Well the situation is really better now 30 frame in most situation, but sometimes in pay and not pay airport (even in the frame friendly OMDB Fly Tampa) the airplane is done something, and the frame goes for 5/10 seconds to 20 value I also noted this when i increase throtte for take off I hope a future SP will resolve this """Problem""", and made the VC lighter (it isn't a real problem). Now, i confirm that in my configuration NGX is quite smoother than 777X :lol:

Ok i'd like to try, how I can disable? I can't find the FMC voice or something similar! :lol: EDIT: I've found it! In the PMDG Operation Center in every single livery, I'll try to disable it! Thank for your help!

How can i disable the RAAS in the T7, I could give a try :ph34r: It sound possible, RAAS made some calculation for runway and the frame goes down <_< <_<

Well, I've made 1 hours of setting this afternoon, that's what I found. First of all I've read the introduction PDF and I have all the fix to FSX.cfg applied. - I've resized Virtual Cockpit textures from 1048 size to 512 with Photoshop and DDS Plugin. This helped a lot and increase my framerate about 6 or 7 value. I've checked, i've done manually what NGX do with the configuration choosing virtual cockpit textures. Low quality (that they are not low ) switched the VC from 1048 to 512 px. I've observed this thing. During Taxi or sometimes (not always) during the flight, the framerate from 30 goes down to value 19/20 for about 6/10 seconds, and after return to 30 (my value with external locked). I think that there is something, in the virtual cockpit that slow down the frame, but to my mind, is something independent from me! ^_^ Someone else noted that or something similar? My pc specification are described under my avatar, and the processor is overclocked to 3.70 GHz (i've not this ""problem"" with PMDG NGX Airplane) B) I'd like to say that the value 19/20 is different from 30, but there isn't a frame that compromise the fluidity of the simulation, it would be great knowing why this occurs! Thank you PMDG for this fantastic plane!

Even for me framerate is less in the T7 than the NGX. I've read the introduction, and setted my FSX.CFG with Word Not Allowed Guide. My specs are: AsRock P67 Ftal1ty Professional, Intel i5 2500 3.30 GHz (overclocked to 3.70 GHz), 8 Gb RAM, NVIDIA Geforce 560 Ti. I use a NOCTUA air coller for the CPU. Sometimes for about 10/12 seconds (always on ground), the framerate drops to 18-20, and after return to 29/30, the value i choose with my external locker. I've tested it in OMDB Scenery by FlyTampa where with NGX I've always have 30 in framerate. What do you think about it, suggestions?

I only read this morning this news. Well, i can understand but i can't justify, this time, PMDG. I'm not the one who'll say: well, they didn't release T7 this day so I'll never buy it from them. No, nothing similar, in fact I can't wait to have this bird in my PMDG fleet, and I always think that Precison Manuals remain the best payware aircraft software house. Last year, for the NGX, we waited a long time, and finally it was released. The first thing occurred to me was the panel freezing after landing. After official forum consulting i noted that it was a problem occurred sometimes to different users. Panel freezing was a pig problem? Well yes and no. PMDG let us know that they have individuated and tried to fix it. In less that a month, a service pack was publicated and the "bug" was solved. PMDG had lost its reputation? NO. A fantastic team served us with investigation and provided a fantastic service pack. PMDG is also synonym of professionalism and custumers care. With the T7, it's the same thing. We've waited this bird for so long time, and now, some people have planned the weekend, for flying with it (even RSR didn't exlude the possibility to have some delay). This announce is really sad, it sounds like a Marketing Strategy, after multiple screenshots, videos, Angle Of Attack amazing shots, me and other people (I think to speak in the name of some users, if not sorry in advance, is a my concept) we can't wait anymore :huh: :rolleyes: . If you have released with some "bugs" or problems, you'll never be adjudje as "non professional software house", bad product or something similar. You still remainthe great PMDG with the great custumer service, and folks will appreciate that. The perfection should be catch up with all costumers contribuction, it's a biggest reality than beta team (well, this is not a critic to the beta team! Thanks for your work in every PMDG product!) Good Day Folks, recently I've some troubles in modify the selected STAR from my FMC in the 737 NGX. When I try to insert/delete/changing a Waypoint the FMC doesn't allow me. Also if i try to change the STAR from the DEP/ARR page, it seems blocked, frozen. The other pages in the FMC worked perfectly. The Only way to change the star is to cancel FMC insert data from the RTE Page: with this operation, the FMC will reset route and legs, allowing me to change the star. Any Solution? Best Regards
