  1. But the fact is the GTX470 will beat it in FSX, who cares about the power draw, my 700W psu can handle it fine.
  2. Who cares right now, you know nothing about it. GPUs change every 6 months it's irrelevant because of what things will look like later this year...
  3. The i7-950 for sure is a way better choice. And yes of course the i7-930 and 950 are better than the i7 870 especially since you can overclock it to 4GHz.
  4. your replying to me? Yes I have Vsync on under Nvdia instpector.
  5. It's silly because it costs the same as the GTX470 and doesn't perform as well *especially in FSX. Unless your using some really really big resolution.
  6. The GTX470 is a great idea right now the price just dropped. Don't bother with any of the new ATis btw.
  7. He's not talking about RAM it's the CPU socket, LGA 1156 or 1366. It's because the i7 has QPI and also the X58 is much faster than the P55 hub.The RAM makes a really small differnce (DDR2 vs DDR3) http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/262240-28-tomshardware
  8. Sweeet! there allready out. I'm really wodnering about the HD6970 though.. I was reading through this review http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2010/10/22/ati-radeon-hd-6870-review/1 and looks like the HD6870 out performs the GTX470 in a few games and it takes a lot less power. I wonder what that means for FSX... obviously no benchmarks yet in fsx...
  9. +1 the gpu is a little old but this is FS9 not FSX it's not at all graphic intensive.
  10. I've also had this problem. I think it's more FSX and not your card because my GTX 470 does the same thing.
  11. No not really, it wouldn't be worth much in terms of performance, the best thing you can do I guess is go for a cheap quad or OC your dore 2 duo to 4GHZ. The card is already pretty good, what kind of FP/S are you seeing right now
  12. Yup I know it's irrevant but that's just what the FP/S counter says.
  13. We're "attacking" you because all you do here is you tell people negitive things. You're the one who had nothing on topic to say besides that website is subpar? At least I had a decent and on topic thing to say.
  14. FSX runns very well of course, I have my CPU @ 4GHz frame rates are usually in the 50s in bigger cities like seattle and around airports with 30%Ai I get around 30FP/S But in the air it exceeds 200 sometimes.
  15. No all you did was say this he's link was obsolite and blablabla.... and is there a problem with me being here? (on subject) I can't wait to see the benchmarks from the HD 6970 and 6990 that will be interesting.
  16. So 3000$ is a lot of money to build a rig, you can get all the best...(the prices are estimates)Intel i7-980X- 1000$Nvidia GTX 480--450$100 GB SSD http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231362-- 200$6GB 7-7-7 RAM- 180$1000W PSU---200$Noctua Nh-d14 cooling-100$Intel LGA 1366 motherboard---250$Comes out to around 2380$ but it may vary a bit depending on the exact parts.
  17. Again! Really, stop bugging everyone, you could just say nicely I dont think thats a dependable site. And at least say why...
  18. Yes maybe, becasue if you upgrade now it means switching to LGA1366 motherboard and then you'd have to switch again when sandy bridge comes out.
