  1. Inside or out, nobody beats Carenado in my book.
  2. Absolutely amazing work for your first native FSX project Jan!
  3. A have a Q6600 ... I also question if it's worth all the trouble just to gain a few more extra frames. I've looked at a few do-it-yourself videos on You Tube. But I just don't know if it's worth all risks if my system is working okay. Maybe my fears are unfounded. I'd love to push the slidders to the right a bit more and get less tree pop-up. But I guess I'll just live with what I've got for now. Unless somebody out there can convince me that over clocking is the only way to go. :(
  4. Using Windows7 on a Q6600, have 5 gigs of RAM. Hard drive is fragged about 2.8% yet it still takes days to defrag. Got a support ticket with O&O. We'll see what they say.
  5. Using O&O 12 ... just wondering if others using O&O have experienced the same. Seems like an awful long time to do a complete defrag. Maybe that's the way it is.
  6. Mike ... I don't see them in the library yet. What does this fix about the lights?
  7. I reinstalled a second time. All appears to be working now. I had two entries ALLOW_SHADER 1 and ALLOW_SHADER_30=1 in my config. Serves me right for not being more careful. :(
  8. This morning I decided to try Bojote's shader model 3.0 MOD FSX. The screens below show what I'm now getting. I tried reinstalling backups, same thing. Oh boy ... so what do I do now?
  9. If you enjoy flying military jets, like an absolutely perfect, highly detailed, visual representation of an F/18 Superbug plus a lot more ... I can't say enough about this product and the hard work VRS put into this thing for the money. You will not be disappointed!
  10. I don't know how I managed to do this but I now have duplicate nvidia control panels. I've tried uninstalling the drivers but both control panels still remain. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the duplicate?
  11. Yeah ... that's what I was thinking too. But you'd almost think that this developer might partner up and work something out with CS. Maybe it's just not that easy. Oh well ...
  12. What a shame ... this addon would be a great asset to us flightsimmers and put a few dollars into this developers pocket.
  13. Anyone heard or seen when or where this camera addon might be available?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sfUv-iJCdA
  14. Here ya go. http://vrsimulations.com/forums/phpBB3/vie...?f=1&t=2071Scroll down towards the bottom of the page and look for the post mentioning "landing lights of the Lotus L-39". Unfortunately, if you're not a FS9 VRS F/18E owner or haven't registered in their forums, you'll NOT be able to see the incredible FSX screenshots.
  15. Check out the new FSX screenshots over at VRS.
  16. They do have an FSX version. I own both, FS9 and FSX.
  17. I came very close. But after taking a second hard look at the screenshots, (and this is only my personal opinion) I think there's something wrong with the geometry of the tail and some other parts of the model. It just doesn't look right to me. Maybe it's because I've been flying my A2A 51-D for too long and that visual geometry is etched way too deeply in my brain. :( I think I'll hold off for now and wait for A2A's Accusim version. One thing I do like very much is the option of having a civilian owner pilot. The "gun port whistle" has me intrigued. Maybe a good video might make me change my mind.
  18. Thanks for the info ... so I assume there's moving traffic on the roads as well? Did you think your fps took a hit with this scenery? The Grand Canyon is really tempting me.
  19. Anyone try this? From the screen shots posted on their site, it doesn't look like there's any highways and roads with FSX traffic.
  20. You can now show your support for MAAM-SIM's B-25J "Briefing Time" with this official banner. Briefing Time for FSX is currently in beta testing. This will be be a free upgrade for FS9 owners. It addresses come compatibility issues and will sport some new features. A full native FSX version is expected to be developed soon.http://www.maam.org/
