  1. Hi All, I currently have sim audio going to speakers and communications output routed to headphones. As most of us probably do. Does anyone know of a way to toggle the communications between a headset and speakers?? Similar to many airlines that I understand are on headphones for critical phases of flight, but switch ATC to speakers for cruise. Obviously, I’m looking to avoid having to escape out of the flight to make the change. Is there anyway to setup a hotkey? Appreciate any and all suggestions. Mark M
  2. Thanks for all the replies. Yeah. So this was at KISP in NY. Typical runways 95%+ of the time is 06 or 24 for Takeoff and landing. So that wind direction with gusts would explain why they didn’t use either of those two runways. It just baffled me to see them come in on that short of a runway with that much of a tailwind. It was a -700, so ok. The next 737 came in on RWY24 about 15 minutes later in similar conditions.
  3. Hi All, So I noticed on Flightradar24 that a 737 landed with pretty much a direct 11kt tailwind. Why would it do that as opposed to landing the opposite direction into the wind? Just peaked my curiosity. No obstacles from the other direction. Not to mention that the runway is less than 5,200’ long! ??? Landed RWY 33L winds were 15011G23 Thanks, MM
  4. Thanks much Steven! Got it working great now.
  5. Hi All, I am curious to know if there is a way to get just the copilot & ATC voice in my headphone. I wear a single side headphone with mic boom, and don't like the fact that I also get the engine sounds in my headphones as well. To me that's not realistic. I want the engine and environment sounds comimg from my speakers with the headphone solely for communications. Am I missing a setting? Is this possible? My headphones use a usb connection. I'd appreciate a help with this. Thank you Mark
  6. All of you fail negotiation 101 miserably.
  7. That's what I needed to know. Thanks.
  8. Is anyone using Shockwave3D lights with the NGX? Any issues or performance hit?
  9. Thanks for all the great suggestion everyone. I spent some time yesterday dowloading World of AI and quite a number of airline packages for it and I could not be happier. In the past, I had tried reducing the UT2 traffic level, but was never able to get it quite right. It was always either too much or too little. With World of AI, I have to say that I see no noticeable hit on frames, and I just did a short test flight this morning from KSEA to KBFI, and what did I see taxing at KBFI while I was landing at KBFI but a 737BBJ. One of the packages I installed. I hadn't noticed one yesterday when I flew into a few airports, but I final saw one exactly where one would expect to, Boeing Field! Thanks again for all the suggestions.
  10. I'm running NGX really smooth with all the typical add-ons, however, the on thing that starts killing my FPS is when I run Ultimate Traffic2. I hate flying into empty airports! Any suggestions?
  11. I hear you. You know, i never thought of it that way. That might be reason enough to move it all to the seperate drive. Maybe one day when I'm feeling ambitous.
  12. I just recently re-installed everything ( Most everything) PMDG, GEX, UTX, AS2012, EZDOK , FSUIPC, etc..., and the only thing I did get initially was the crash on exit many others have spoken about, but I did get rid of that with the RegEdit fix. Like I said, I get really great, smooth frames, and the only time that starts to drop is when I start adding in Ultimate Traffic and certain payware airports & scenery, specifically the NY area. So the only reason I would even contemplate re-installing everything on a seperate drive at this point would be if someone told me doing so would most definitely allow me to add that scenery and traffic wih better frames. I'm starting to think not, but I'd like to be wrong. Regards,
  13. What about add-on's? I assume they can all go on a seperate drive with FSX, correct? I currently have Win7 - 64 bit, but I have everything installed to default locations on my main drive. I get great frame rates and no issues, but I wonder how much better installing to the empty D: ( physical drive ) would be. Is it really worth it?
  14. What's unnecessary and childish is when people are attacked for stating their opinion and then others jumping on board.
  15. Bert, Because I don't need too. Apparently you do. If you were stupid enough to fork your money over for a product that wasn't complete, then I've got a real 737 I'd like to sell you real cheap. I just didn't get around to building it yet, but trust me, it shouldn't take too long. Just pay me first. Aren't I entitled to my own opinion? Hey, maybe they will put out great series, but I will wait until everything is complete before forking over my money if I feel it's worth it. They lured you people by saying the rate would go up if you didnt act now. If it does, that's fewer people that will potentially buy it.
  16. I for one am very glad that I had the will power to refrain from making this purchase many months ago. First, is anyone at AoA a real 737 pilot?? From what I saw, maybe one of them has their private pilots license. I could have read the FCOM's 500 times by now while waiting for the slow drab of videos to be made available. Sure, the visuals may be all nice, but ALWAYS be cautious of "pay me now for services I'll provide later" outfits. Like a previous poster mentioned, you can find many extremely informative videos on youtube for FREE. These are done by enthusiasts, some with quite a bit of knowledge, and some who are real world 737 pilots. They have no interest in taking your money. They just love what they're doing and want to share it with fellow enthusiasts.
  17. Ryan,Quick question, I downloaded the latest Nvidia driver and the latest version of inspector and I read your post in the general forum. In my Nvidia control panel, what do I set the image settings to? Let app decide, or my preference empasizing quality / performance? Thanks again for your help.
  18. Thanks alot Ryan! Heading over there now.
  19. Zach,Actually I haveUT2, but don't have it installed currently. I did a fresh re-install of everything last week and only have the bare essentials installed right now which is for me GEX, UTX, EZdok, and AS2012 ( and of course the NGX). Just prior to installing FPS limiter tonight, I loaded the NGX at a gate at KSEA and was getting mid to high 30's FPS ( Full screen ) with all sliders except water ( & traffic) maxed out. After FPS limiter, at the same gate low 20's (full screen). As for ENB series, I was using it, but it was unstable, so I got rid of it.
  20. OK, I figured it figured out and it worked, It started up, it loaded FSX, etc... But even though I locked my frames at 30FPS when I created the bat file, When I click shift+z inside FSX it says my frames are low 20's??? If I switch to windowed mode, I get frames in the mid to upper 30's , but I don't want to run in windowed mode, and besides, I was getting mid 30's FPS in full screen mode WITHOUT FPS limiter. So , am I missing something? Am I doing something wrong here?
  21. OK. So I finally decided to see what FPS limiter 0.2 could do for me while using the NGX. My system is pretty decent and I get pretty good frames now , but I was reading about the advantages in setting FSX to unlimited and using FPS limiter set at 30FPS. So I followed the instructions, pointed to the FSX root directory and created the .bat file, only I didint know where the .bat file was created, so I searched for it and when I found it I think I made a mistake in dragging it onto my desktop, as there was no option when right clicking to create a shortcut. So bottom line, the fsx.exe.limited file is on my desktop and when I click on it I get a really quick flash of a command prompt screen, and it doesnt start FSX.Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks,
  22. I've read a little about prepar3d, but I'm trying to understand what the advantage would be versus fsx? If I'm understanding the above correctly, quite a but of fsx software runs on it, so that is positive. I just am not understanding what's different really? Are the graphics better / worse? Do all fsx planes default & payware work with it?
  23. If that airline doesn't use a HUD in real world then it , is modeled that way in the livery.
  24. Conspiracy , conspiracy... A little light hearted humor pal.
