  6. Hi Guys, Some comments on some previous posts: 1. CW46: Yes, the cruise figures are far from RW LR35 figures (not to speak about climb/descent flight dynamics). Guys, NO it is NOT an inherent FSX problem please! Many quality addons (almost in the same price category) can produce FDE figures 2-3% close to the real thing. This product is so far from a real 35 that it is not a 35! An expensive toy only (sorry for my harsh remarks, but my high expectations just evaporated). 2. After a couple of flights and desperate struggle with the AFCS vertical modes I quit, it is simply not working. 3. BeaverDriver: In the Lear the turbine gauges ar on top and the FAN indicators ( these are the primary power reference instruments) are on the bottom (Learjet fashion) check it on cockpit photos. Takes a bit of time to adapt to it when transfering from another type. 4. The FSX community is still awaiting for a high quality bizjet in the market! Cheers, Tamas

  8. Ok Guys, I really enjoyed this discussion, your points are taken, but I still strongly believe that my basic description of the engine management of a simple turboprop is correct. Yes, I have "flown" all the models of various FS dev.teams mentioned here except the PMDG J41. The reason is that I could not find rw manuals especially performance manuals on the J41. Pitty! I like to fly "by the book" even is FS world. Coming back to the MU-2: I am convinced now that it is the best MU-2 for FSX, I will buy it to have a closer look. It is a really unique, high performance, demanding aircraft . Thank you all, Tamas
  9. Hi Dear Guys, Many thanks for your replies. In my original post I simplified a bit to be short enough. I don't have to check videos, my experience/opinion is based on rw encounters with turboprop aircraft. A basic turboprop engine with "simple" hydro-mechanic engine controls (not with that fancy FADEC) behaves like this (no matter if it is a Pratt or Garett): 1. During a steady state climb with a fixed throttle setting the T/Q drops gradually while the EGT (ITT) remaining basically steady. 2. Since you have not reached max. EGT at the early stage of climb, you can recover the T/Q drop by gradually advancing the power levers. By adding more fuel to the engine, EGT will increase of course! 3. At a certain altitude you will reach redline or max. EGT (the engine "temps out"). After this point you cannot advance the power levers further and the T/Q will drop eventually (the engine will lose power). 4. Yes, you can check inflight videos and will see the typical cruise scenario: the T/Q is around 50-70% and the EGT is near the redline limit. That's all in a nutshell and I expected roughly this behaviour based on the Flysimware promo text. I'm sure that Flysimware's beta pilot with all that MU-2 experience will confirm my short description. Anyway, in FS world I only know two addons that come out with proper turboprop handling: the good old Aerosoft/digital Aviation Piper Cheyenne and the F1 King Air. Cheers, Tamas
  10. Hi Guys, No, it is not even a turboprop behaviour. Flysimware advertise this product as "custom coding for the Garrett TPE331 turboprop engines and sounds for the most realistic Garrett simulation ever produced." When I purchased the C441 I was looking forward to it with great expectations, especially the engine behaviour. To my dissapointment I found that it is just a basic, unrealistic FSX turbine engine. I.e: During climb, the EGT decreases with altitude and T/Q remains constant. This is just the opposite to real world! In FS history a couple of addons were able to circumnavigate that basic FS coding. But not Flysimware. I' ve checked a couple of Flysimware MU-2 vidoeos on you tube and to my dismay the engine parameters still behaved the wrong way. Now, I do not understand why it is the "most realistic Garrett"? It would be interestnig to have that "experienced RW MU-2 beta pilot's" opinion on that. Cheers, Tamas

  12. Hi All, Yes, it is certainly their business philosophy. It would take months and sometimes years to develop a new product for the others. Its ok with me anyway, if they refine their products later on with updates, SP's and they provide a responsive and open-minded customer support. I must repeat: the PC-12 has a lot of potential in it ... if and only IF it is not abandoned by the developers. Cheers and Merry Christmast to you all, Tamas

  14. Hi All Dear PC-12 Experts, Yes, a newbie to the PC-12 but definitely not new to real world and FS aviation (forty years of experience…hard to believe). Yesterday, I purchased the PC-12 and I really admired the handling qualities and graphics of this product. At the same time I immediately recognised the annoying bugs with the autopilot, altitude alerter and on top of all, the completely incorrect turboprop behaviour of the engines. I accept that it is not a real level 4 sim, but still do not understand the developers attitude, since a little more effort and it could be an outstanding product. I did the usual thing and went through this forum and recognised that some real FS/aviation/computer experts achieved great results with upgrades, refinements. I’m a bit lost of what is ready and what is in the works, so I need some help. I would like to have and install the customer made “patches” available with regard of the autopilot, FD and other systems. Could anybody send me the files available? It would be much appreciated. (It’s funny that customers are working on product development.) I noticed two more small things I believe that were not referred to in this forum: The EPS amber ON BATT light should be only ON when it is supplying power (i.e: the batt switches are off) The STBY Bus blue light should be on with the BATT switches off.   15. Dear Talented Painters, Anybody willing to paint the 777 in the scheme of VQ-BSK ? Some pictures are available on "jetphotos.net" and "airliners.net" (sorry no links allowed in this forum). Simple, clean and beautiful. Sure it is a different airframe with different size and shape but use your talent and imagination freely. You can delete the coat of arms on the tail. Please, do not forget this aircraft is maintained to the highest standards, so no exhaust stains, dirt or ramp marks. The fictional reg could be VP-CQA I think it would be appreciated by the PMDG 777 biz-jet oriented community (including me!) very much. Looking forward to it, Cheers, tamas

Hi Richard, If you are speaking about real 777 performance charts/FPPM document I have bad news for you: the secrets and details of this book is taught in dedicated performance courses and primarily for engineers. Pilots mostly use EFB, dedicated laptops or pre-calculated performance figures for routine operations. But if you take some time and study theses graphs and the text a bit, they become clear (but not esasy) at the end so you can interpret and use them. Cheers, Tamas

  19. Oh, I see! Believe me, I've never noticed the names below the posts. My fault, I will rectify. Lets come back to the EGT biz: My further experience that during this EGT hung-up of about 390C it seem to me that the engine sound also "freezes". Cold you check it?
  20. Hi Guys, Aamir: 1. I have CHYoke, I believe properly calibrated. 2. My real name??? Could you clarify? Am I supposed to use my real name in this forum? I signed up to this forum years ago giving all the data requested. If the admin has some problem, please indicate. Anyway, all the PMDG products I posess are cleanly purchased having order numbers and activation keys if somebody wish. I like to play by the rules and pay for the work of others. Mike777: Yes, I am aware of the automatic pack switching. But it is not the cause of the EGT jump. The packs are coming on-line after BOTH engines running and after a couple of seconds delay (the pack valves need proper bleed pressure to transit to the open position - see the amber pack off light going off a bit late in the pack switches). The EGT however, jumps up immediately after the start sequence of each engine. Anyway, the EGT jump is too abrupt, nothing can cause a temp increase within a jet engine like this. Hi All, This engine start behaviour was reported a couple of months ago in this forum by me and some other simmers just after the relesae of the PMDG T7.At that time beeing a small thing it went unnoticed by the devs. My starts on both engines are exactly the same.
