Is there any way when flight planning to insert a SID such that the ATC recognises it ? I can insert the route and SID into the FMC, but ATC doesn't recognise it. Is that asking too much ? When requesting IFR clearance, it would be nice to have it include the SID, along with "cleared to xxxxxxx", "climb and maintain yyyy". Views/thoughts ?

I think this is where I am struggling. When I download from PMDG add on livery I get folder, e.g. PMDG_737NGX_800WL_AB. I then extract from this folder and get a file with a .ptp extension. At no point have I unzipped anything. So, I'm not sure what needs to be unzipped (or even how to do it). Is it the .ptp file that must be unzipped and if so how is it done? Best regards

I have the set of .ptp files in a folder I created, however when I open up Livery Manager and search for the files to add, it will not allow me to open up the folder and select a php file to add. I can't get beyond the folder. Feels like I am close but stuck at the last fence ! Any ideas? by the way I have not 'unzipped' anything at this point. Thanks

Just purchased the NGX 800/900. Seems to work well however I'm struggling with livery addons. Have created a file a advised. Have downloaded a couple of liveries (PMDG_737NGX_800WL_AB) and transferred them to the file. I now need to unzip ? How do I do this? If I open the file shown above I get a .ptp file. Can't seem to progress from this stage. Really frustrating, any help appreciated. Thanks

Firstly , can anyone recommend best FSX enhanced scenery add ons for Europe. Secondly, even with max settings on traffic, there are many light aircraft and very few large jets. If I set the light aircraft traffic setting to zero, it doesn't increase the amount of large aircraft. How do I increase traffic? Do I need to buy a traffic add on and if so any recommendations. Thks

From straight and level with AP engaged, how do you set a climb or descent rate without having to disengage the AP, maually fly to the desired VS and then re-engage the AP?Thanks

Does anyone offer FSX compatible business jets? Has the GV ever been developed say and if not would PMDG consider such a move? Lot been done with airliners, but a void in the market possibly.

Have loaded my newly purchased JS41. Can't activte the product online. When I continue through a flight I have no digital flight instruments. I am doing something wrong or would this be down to the activation issue? On the prompt I type the key code in upper and lower case with no success. 'Initialisation of licence failed'. Looks like a waste of money at this time. Can anyone help? I have submitted a ticket with PMDG but no response as yet. Thks to all. Keep 'em flying.....

Have raised a ticket myself as once loaded, I get an 'initialisation failure' message and when prompted for the product key, it doesn't recognise it. Continuing through to the sim, I end up with an aircraft with no digital flight instruments and some functionality not working. Was really looking forward to the J41 but so far disappointed. Any ideas from anyone? Nothing back from PMDG yet. Thks

Getting an aural config warning through the take off roll. Have flaps set, spoiler armed and stab trim in the green band. I don't fully understand the flap pre-set (which I believe provides finer incremental flap setting? Run it round to say Flap 22 but the flaps deploy to 24?). FMC all set, with V speeds in, flight programme set with SID. So, what am I missing ? Help appreciated.Cheers

Having installed all liveries from the disc as well as downloading from PMDG, why can I only get the 'standard' call signs e.g. World Travel, Soar etc? If I load a Swiss MD-11 I'd like a Swiss call sign, or KLM and so on. The call sign options menu has not changed following downloads.Any ideas? Thks

Does the MD-11X programme contain pre-set company routes other than the Swiss LHR/ZCH tutorial? If so, where can i find them. If not do you create them and store as company routes, if so, how? Help appreciated.Many thanks in advance.

When I start FSX and MD-11, the engines are already started. I do I change the settings in order to start the sim with a 'dead' aircraft?Thks

Thanks for your support/help. I'm not a PC nut so have no idea what overclocking is or what it takes to do it. My PC is brand new so don't know is SP1 or SP2 is appropriate. Accleration pack, I have no idea what this is??FSX values are set mid range, but I thought my machine would be able to cope with such capability.The CPU cooloer is a Coolermaster V8 Extreme which again I thought was pretty good. I am so frustrated you wouldn't believe it. Thanks for any help. Many thanks for advise. Would FS2004 be a better option for me. If I can overcome the FSUIPC issue which I have no idea what it is, but its stopping me loading the simulator, I may make some progress. My PC CPU cooler is a Collermaster V8 Extreme so not sure how it compares with the ones you have identified. This is all driving me crazy. My 5 year old machine that died handled all this and more. My PC died before Xmas and I have purchased a new machine. Its a high end gaming PC that should handle anything thrown at it, paticularly simulations.I used to run FS2004 and had PMDG and Just Flight adds ons and all worked find.I purchased a new FS2004, loaded it onto this PC and it simply doesn't run. When I try and run it I get a version compatibility message for FSUIPC. Build should be 9.00.30612 whatever that means ???I purchased FSX, loaded it and I am so disapppointed with the quality. When I try and install Captain SIM 757, it partly loads and when I run it, the screen refresh is slow and patchy. Anything else OI try and install such as PMDG 737 or B1900 just doesn't load.I was hoping for a real top performing high end simulator, what I have is a retrograde step from my old system.
