  1. These are heavy words Tom. I can't put into words how much joy this site has given me over the years, and it won't be the same without you. These are heavy words Tom. I can't put into words how much joy this site has given me over the years, and it won't be the same without you.
  2. Wow. Well Rob usually does have a good reputation I think it's just someone made a mistake and one person is clearly covering it up, whether it be you or Rob. I'm not taking sides but if you're that unsatisfied, take you business elsewhere. Airsimmer is pretty much a beaten horse at this point, unfortunately, and this sounds like a case of kicking them while they're down.
  3. LOL I actually chuckled at this. But seriously, what happened is between myself and PMDG, and it will stay like that. I'm getting quite a bit of fan/hate mail and I'm tired of writing responses. So in all seriousness, the thread was removed, meaning the project is not going to be released. I apologize to anyone who has been given false hopes, and I apologize to PMDG for not taking the appropriate steps to proceed with such an update.Hope everybody has a happy holiday season and a great new year.~David
  4. Completely different topics. Detail vs. resolution are completely unrelated, other than the fact that if you have, let's say, a 4096 texture, the details within that image will be more crisp than a resolution of 1024.
  5. I hope you're not saying you're dissatisfied with this release. I for one, think it's a very good choice that'll not just bring in a lot of cash for them, but bring a fantastic airport to the community. A friend of mine in Chile bought it and said it was phenomenal, so I look forward to eventually getting it. Miami is LONG overdue.Kudos to LATINVFR here, they really struck the money (pun intended).
  6. Must have been fun! It's my favorite approach in the world to fly with any aircraft (though I do admit I avoid the NGX here to faithfully simulate it, also because I need a heavy!) Nice shots! If you're ever on VATSIM, pop me a message and I'll be more than happy to join the party!
  7. Make sure the lights are correctly placed. You should also make sure the specular maps and bump maps are aliased correctly in the texture.cfg.
  8. Your alpha channels are all black. Do you have tool such as DXTBMP (freeware) to correct this?
  9. Old news my friend...old news. But glad you found them!
  10. LOL I completely overlooked the fact that you're Israeli! Thanks very much for the upload. I was skeptical at first as to whether I liked it or not, but I just departed Fort. Lauderdale in a -700 and the answer is HELL YES! Lailah Tov to both of you v'todah rabah!
  11. pdogone it's probably telling you "not on intercept heading", which gives you two options:-turn your plane towards the active waypoint and once you're facing it hit LNAV againor-click the first available fix twice (as in select it or type it and then click the same fix at the top) which will create a little LNAV path for your plane to follow to the active waypoint
  12. Yeah. Go to VNAV, then Descent, then hit forecast, and then set it in by inputting "060" to get FL060 :D
  13. Yeah this isn't really going anywhere.
  14. Um, a CTD means the whole application crashed. You would have to reload from a saved flight. And you said it only occurred at Aerosoft Heathrow...I'm not understanding your question nor your response.
  15. Nope, it's a common issue. I did sort of a workaround that worked for about a week and then stopped working. I eventually turned to the UK2000 scenery, and it's 10000x better and works smoothly with the 744.
  16. Which I do, though I've always been using unregistered FSUIPC.
  17. I use the unregistered FSUIPC and Autorudder is off.
  18. Hey guys, something weird has just happened with my NGX or rather started occurring. I've dug for the answer to an extent but I can use a little help. I've recently been noticing that the Yaw Damper (for me) has begun to stink at doing its job, as in all it does when it's on is giving me rapid inputs back and forth and turning my flight into a ride at the amusement park. I'm starting from the NGX Short startup flight and it happens in each weather program I've tried it with (REX, ASE, VATSIM). Any help? Is this being covered in SP1/hotfix? Thanks very much!
  19. True, it might be, but I've had to re-do my CFG so many times because of things like FSDT problems that I've lost track. Anyway, thanks to everyone here! It seems to be working fine for now.
  20. Collin (hey btw), it seems to have worked for daytime! I'll let you know about nighttime soon enough. Thanks!
  21. Nope, no DXT10 mode. And my drivers are 267.24 for the GTX 260. I can't really update my drivers too often because my computer never seems to operate correctly after I do. Let me try and update them now...
  22. Anyone? Now the exterior model doesn't even show up...
  23. Hey guys, I know it's a bit of a unique issue but it surfaced after I installed the NGX. If it's an NGX related problem, awesome, if not, even better. I seem to have an issue at the back of my cockpit at night (no, not that type of issue :( ), where the circuit breaker panel is "hollow". Any idea what might cause this? Thanks! P.S., it also causes some weird things and models to be hollowed out in scenery...
