These are heavy words Tom. I can't put into words how much joy this site has given me over the years, and it won't be the same without you. These are heavy words Tom. I can't put into words how much joy this site has given me over the years, and it won't be the same without you.

AirSimmer Customer Support - Absolutely Appalling
dmm200 replied to a topic in The FS2004 (FS9) Forum
Wow. Well Rob usually does have a good reputation I think it's just someone made a mistake and one person is clearly covering it up, whether it be you or Rob. I'm not taking sides but if you're that unsatisfied, take you business elsewhere. Airsimmer is pretty much a beaten horse at this point, unfortunately, and this sounds like a case of kicking them while they're down. -
Imagine a PMDG 744 at NGX Quality...
dmm200 replied to aceridgey's topic in PMDG 747-400 (Legacy Versions)
LOL I actually chuckled at this. But seriously, what happened is between myself and PMDG, and it will stay like that. I'm getting quite a bit of fan/hate mail and I'm tired of writing responses. So in all seriousness, the thread was removed, meaning the project is not going to be released. I apologize to anyone who has been given false hopes, and I apologize to PMDG for not taking the appropriate steps to proceed with such an update.Hope everybody has a happy holiday season and a great new year.~David -

HiRez Textures vs Highly detailed 1024 Textures
dmm200 replied to N1G's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Completely different topics. Detail vs. resolution are completely unrelated, other than the fact that if you have, let's say, a 4096 texture, the details within that image will be more crisp than a resolution of 1024. -
LatinVFR KMIA released - Anyone try it yet?
dmm200 replied to cmpbellsjc's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
I hope you're not saying you're dissatisfied with this release. I for one, think it's a very good choice that'll not just bring in a lot of cash for them, but bring a fantastic airport to the community. A friend of mine in Chile bought it and said it was phenomenal, so I look forward to eventually getting it. Miami is LONG overdue.Kudos to LATINVFR here, they really struck the money (pun intended). -
Must have been fun! It's my favorite approach in the world to fly with any aircraft (though I do admit I avoid the NGX here to faithfully simulate it, also because I need a heavy!) Nice shots! If you're ever on VATSIM, pop me a message and I'll be more than happy to join the party!

PMDG 747 'glass-like' and missing textures problem (FSX)
dmm200 replied to Trevo711's topic in PMDG 747-400 (Legacy Versions)
Make sure the lights are correctly placed. You should also make sure the specular maps and bump maps are aliased correctly in the texture.cfg. -
PMDG 747 'glass-like' and missing textures problem (FSX)

Your alpha channels are all black. Do you have tool such as DXTBMP (freeware) to correct this? -
GPWS replacement sounds (especially for the 747)

Old news my friend...old news. But glad you found them! -

dmm200 replied to Akila's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
LOL I completely overlooked the fact that you're Israeli! Thanks very much for the upload. I was skeptical at first as to whether I liked it or not, but I just departed Fort. Lauderdale in a -700 and the answer is HELL YES! Lailah Tov to both of you v'todah rabah! -
Dopey question - autopilot problem
dmm200 replied to johnpc's topic in PMDG 747-400 (Legacy Versions)
pdogone it's probably telling you "not on intercept heading", which gives you two options:-turn your plane towards the active waypoint and once you're facing it hit LNAV againor-click the first available fix twice (as in select it or type it and then click the same fix at the top) which will create a little LNAV path for your plane to follow to the active waypoint -
Yeah. Go to VNAV, then Descent, then hit forecast, and then set it in by inputting "060" to get FL060 :D
-
Yeah this isn't really going anywhere.

Um, a CTD means the whole application crashed. You would have to reload from a saved flight. And you said it only occurred at Aerosoft Heathrow...I'm not understanding your question nor your response.
