  1. im not using texturemaxload but i'll try that too see if it works. im using the internal limiter @30fps with the vsync fix.
  2. Yey! I think I might have solved it.... i just changed texture bandwidth from 40 to 400. Now switching from outside view to VC, textures load almost instantly. May not work for others but it worked for me. Doesn't hurt to give it a try. cheers!!!!
  3. too bad for us , but good to know im not alone on this. hope someone with similar experience would be able to shed light on this.
  4. Mine's just simple.... 240Hz Samsung 55" LED TV.....TrackIR.....then hit the remote on the tv where it says "2D->3D". ^_^
  5. yes i did follow it line by line, only thing i changed is my FFTF = 0.18 since I could see blurries when I use 0.1. I also use the windowed mode tweak because I often switch from full screen to windowed mode when opening programs during flight and without it, FSX crashes when I switch modes. I'm trying to think if there is anything that may be causing a bottleneck but I still cant think of one. Either than that, everything runs silky smooth and 95% of the time I always get 30FPS locked even on EGLL with the NGX and 40% AI. ...just tryin my luck maybe some of our members here experienced the same problem and can share their inputs. Thanks!! ^_^ (Re: affinity mask, I set it at 14 with HT off but when I opened task manager, I could see windows having it on all 4 cores instead of core 1-3. Is that normal?)
  6. ...only happens when I'm looking at "wing view" for more than 5 secs then switching back to VC. VC textures, including view of outside, seems to take a good 2-3 seconds to load and vice versa, when switching back to "wing view". any suggestions? mostly with payware planes. (Airbus X, NGX....)
  7. thanks, yeah its kinda high right now that's why when I swap it with my other TV I'd place it just right where i dont need to look up as much, since the 55" screen would probably fill up to my peripheral vision. :) and I absolutely love it...I was planning to go triple monitor but i rally want that "seemless" look , hence just opted for a bigger screen. never turned back ever since.
  8. Thanks guys, I'm really happy about this setup since this is my first ever build. Kudos to all members of this forum, all those reads finally paid off. Last thing to do is to get my 55" Series 8 3DTV in the living room and swap.FSX + 3DTV + Vatsim = Realism Heaven !!!@cmeeks: wanted to keep that black/red theme and it worked out nicely.....and yes, that's a PCIe adapter connected to a PCIe 2.0 x1 slot
  9. fsx crashes spontaneously with this driver, went back to the 27*.** problem solved.
  10. tryin to squeeze some more juice in my 2600k......using Fatal1ty P67 Mobo. Right now, i'm [email protected] fixed voltage....but it seems my idle temp hovers at 40-45. how do you determine which offset to use to make use of the speed step so that my vcore wont always be at 1.40 and with much lower idle temps? just trial and error?
  11. I will post more pics soon...just tryin to test the UEFI OC.....it booted to UEFI using "Turbo 4.8Ghz" mode and posted 1.36v....not a bad start.
  12. Was about to order my mobo when i stumbled on this....now im having a dilemma on whether to get this or not? any opinions?Fatal1ty Z68 Professional Gen3
  13. with today's bios, OC should be fairly simple. for mild OC, just set multiplier to 43 and thats it. and some mother boards have a one-step OC utility that doesnt need complicated tweaks to get past 4 Ghz.
  14. Just saw that Zotac has a 3GB GTX580 available. What performance improvement will this do paired with an i7 2600k @ 4.8-5.0Ghz? I'm planning to use my 55" Samsung 3D TV for FSX @1920 x 1080. Will the 3Gb card help at all or will it just future-proof my system if I later decide to get a 2560x1600 monitor? Thanks!
  15. Just received my case from amazon $159.99 + free shipping....and its GORGEOUS!!!! Bravo Corsair! Just waiting for the other parts from newegg and then off to FSX nirvana. :Whistle:CORSAIR Graphite 600T Special EditionMy ocd kicked in and made me arrange the cables at the back cant wait....
  16. so those running 2600k's @ 4.8Ghz and a GTX580 would be this fluid too?
  17. oh sorry, there you go....and you mean if I build a PC with those specs, performance is gonna be different than the original Alienware PC?
  18. Well to start, this video seems to demonstrate what a stutter free system is.....although I don't know whether he achieved this with a video editor or just a purely fine tuned FSX system. But with the system he's using, I could slash almost $800 if compared to the system I was planning to build. Here are his specs:PC Alienwareintel i7 920 [email protected]® X58 full x16 PCI-ExpressLiquid CoolingRam 6GB DDR3Card GTX26021in HD Alienware 1920x 1080pWindows 7 64bitAnd the video flying over Manhattan probably on the Aerosoft Airbus X.Nice....:Applause: but :Thinking:Cheers,Mark
  19. Hmmm...look at the Model # on the Amazon website....seems the same as a GTX560 @ $264.99 at NEWEGG
