  2. Jim, Whereabouts will I find this log? Not currently sat at the PC at the moment, but will have a look this evening, and more out of curiosity, find out if my suspicions are confirmed. I wonder if the duration of 'Auto Save' is set high, will the pause be less likely, but for a longer duration?
  3. Apologies for bringing up an old topic, not sure if it could be classed as relevant, I know from reading the topic that most people are looking at the hardware and operating software as a likely culprit. I also have this aforementioned random pause and subsequent recovery a minute or so later. My PC specs are as follows: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition (3.2Ghz, not overclocked since windows re-install) Asus M2N68 AM2 motherboard (also compatible with AM2+ & AM3 processors) 8GB of RAM (unsure of specs) Windows 7 64bit Home Premium Sapphire Vapor-X 5870 Gfx Card (ATI) Seagate Baracuda 1TB hard drive (Primary Windows HD) Western Digital 500GB hard drive (FSX Main Drive) Western Digital 250GB hard drive (FSX Software Storage Drive) What I have discovered (though not tested as of yet) is on my registered FSUIPC for FSX, I have the 'Auto Save' setting checked, and set to save every 5 minutes, and I could even count down the duration from the previous pause to the next via my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke clock. At first I thought it was too much of a coincidence, as I initially thought it was my REX software (also set to inject every 5 min) but I noticed that it would inject approx 1.3 min after the pause (every pause) so that was ruled out. So I'm beginning to wonder if its the 'Auto Save' feature built into FSUIPC, I only have just set this since re-installing Windows and FSX, and I noticed while undertaking a flight from EGLL to ZSPD, during flight, and just before touchdown, I've had consistent pauses, it hung for 30ish seconds, then resumed. After successfully touching down, and started to taxi to stand, and all in this time, I'm counting down to the next pause....... 2, 3 then 4 minutes pass after the 5 minute countdown ends, and no pause what so ever. How many other people here use the 'Auto Save' function? Has anyone even thought of this?

You have to keep women sweet, especially when it comes to our biggest hobby, otherwise you get 'AIDS' (Aircraft Induced Divorce Syndrome) then you will KNOW what 'Expensive is! I just bribed my partner this week, I said I was going to purchase the T7 on release, she turned around to me (pregnant too) and said "I thought 'we' weren't going to spend on unnecessary items to save money for our 2nd child" (our 1st is already expensive enough) to which I replied "Yes, but your birthday is on final approach (had to get it in!) and as a treat, I'm paying for your haircut, so we both get what we want!"
  5. I watched approx 1:20 of the video, and for what I saw, the aircraft looks absolutely amazing, PMDG cannot get enough praise for the products their turning out at the moment. And for what I did see of Pete's video, whether or not everything was done correctly or not, I couldn't care, the fact he live streamed the video is remarkable, and and took the time to do it even with his (son?) Lurking in the backround at the beginning, Well done. Looking forward to the release now, even more so since the videos have been popping up on youtube etc..... If the T7 is amazing now, what will the b744 v2 be like??
  6. The problem with programming an EFB on this aircraft for Jeppview will probably cause a delay in release (guessing month or two) and, like what has been said before, the majority of PMDG owners do not subscribe to Jeppesen There for there's no real requirement to program such a feature into these aircraft. I for one do not subscribe to Jeppesen, and have no intention too due to cost (that probably applies to the majority of PMDG customers) and, should PMDG change their mind and go into programming this feature, they will loose a massive customer base who have been waiting years for this product to be completed, and I would be one of those! I hate to say it, subscribed users of Jeppesen are a minority! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2 And no one does anything for the minority! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
  7. hmmm, ORBX release FTX Global tail end of last month, now PMDG release the 777 by end of this month............ combination of both equals.......... Great Flight Simming all round!! And one happy person I shall be!!
  8. Either way I look at it, It will be done when It's done. IF It's done by payday at the end of the month, my credit card will miraculously appear in my hand for purchase, IF It's released middle of next month, the same thing will happen again. Until then I will continue to enjoy the prediction banter that's flying around here, It's one way of relieving the boredom that precedes prior to a new launch!
