Froogle Pete's Streaming review

Featured Replies

Yesterday evening, Peter did what I believe to be the very first streaming video flight on the 777.

I'd like to within this forum thank him, for his initiative and time to give us all a realistic view of what we hope to experience ourselves after purchase?

He was clear and thorough with his review and seeing it 'in-the-flesh' like that, must have attracted even more customers than PMDG already have waiting in the wings.

This to me, is a first ever idea and it's typical of PMDG, as leaders in FS development to make this great innovation to everyone who also appreciates PMDG for all the expertise they allow us to share.

Thanks Froogle and PMDG for this demonstration.

Thanks for the kind words.

The video is still up on Twitch - warts and all. It's not on YouTube because my YouTube videos tend to have much more instruction and higher production quality and a live stream is by it's very nature...well, live - so mistakes are made, questions are answered.

I did keep this stream very simple and straight forward, no risks, no risky maneuvers, just a view for the viewers on a typical long haul flight - all be it accelerated.

Videos will be coming soon on the YT channel with a more traditional Froogle format to them (deep, and very detailed).

Thanks again.

I agree with the others - it was a great video and not only did you give us insight into it, but you were highly entertaining and took the time to read a multitude of the comments that rolled across every few seconds.

Great job!

It was brilliant. I tuned in over Spain and had a fun time watching all the way to EGLL. It was a great to get some insights into the aircraft and its systems. So  many thanks to Froggle for the effort, his excellent commentary and putting up with 200 people watching over his shoulder. And don't sweat the landing. I was feeling for you as I saw the engines spool up. Don't worry. The passengers in back were none the wiser.

Cheers,

Can't wait for a "fully loaded" froogle vid!

Especially with the inevitable FS2Crew voice pack.

Keep up the great work!

I cannot watch this at twitch, I have to wait for video to load every 20 seconds. Ridiculous.

Twitch is *most* unsatisfactory.  Awaiting an upload to somewhere else useful.  Cheers.

"People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.

I watched approx 1:20 of the video, and for what I saw, the aircraft looks absolutely amazing, PMDG cannot get enough praise for the products their turning out at the moment.

And for what I did see of Pete's video, whether or not everything was done correctly or not, I couldn't care, the fact he live streamed the video is remarkable, and and took the time to do it even with his (son?) Lurking in the backround at the beginning, Well done.

Looking forward to the release now, even more so since the videos have been popping up on youtube etc.....

If the T7 is amazing now, what will the b744 v2 be like??

I managed to fix lag and watched whole video. At external view landing it looks like someone took a real T7 landing footage and inserted it into FSX.   :O
