  1. I have unique flows I created but I ensured that each command in the flow matches the available command list per the .dat file that came with the latest update. Also, I have about 10 flows that I made for different parts of the flight but the only problem I have is early on at the gate. Once I get past the prep of the plane, I don't have an issue. I have Pilot2ATC and PACX running, but can't seem to link this issue with either of those. It could be a conflict but I can't isolate it. Also, it has happened while sitting idle and not executing any commands. I have also conducted some flights where it never dropped out. Wish I had more to go on, but it has been unpredictable for me.
  2. This is the first comment I've seen from anyone else on this, so please comment again if you find something useful! I had the issue again last night, so the directory where I loaded MCE likely has nothing to do with the problem (as I mentioned in the comments on the pinned topic "If you find something..."). Fortunately, it only happened once and I could restart MCE, start the flow where it cut-out from the beginning to make sure nothing was missed, then continue on with my flight. It is sporadic, so I haven't been able to nail down exactly when it happens. Sometimes during a flow, other times while MCE is idle. But it has always happened early in the flight, before I push back from the gate.
  3. I reinstalled again in a directory outside of the program files (x86) and did not have any issues on a flight with the PMDG 737. So not sure why, but I've done an A-B-A-B comparison and have only had issues in the default directory. As I mentioned in the last post, I have UAC on. Not sure if I have a setting somewhere in windows that is giving me problems, but I guess we'll see if I start having some of the other issues you mentioned down the road.
  4. Hi Gerald, Well, in order to try and avoid future problems I went back and installed in the program files (x86) directory as is default on the installer. I replaced the mce and Simco64 files with the beta patch. I am now back to losing connection with the aircraft during the prep stages of the flight. Although I only had a sample size of one try when I had it installed outside that folder, so maybe I would still have the issue, not sure. Any other ideas of what can cause this? I have the UAC set to the default setting in Windows ("Notify me only when apps try to make changes to my computer (default)"). I can go back to a different folder but didn't want to create new issues down the road. Not sure that fixed it anyway.
  5. Thanks. I already had the MCE version of the fsuipc-lvar-module folder in the community folder for MSFS. If there is somewhere else it should be for Pilot2ATC I can look at that, but I couldn't find the WASM module anywhere else. I updated the files in the Beta patch that you suggested. I also reinstalled MCE on the same drive as MSFS and out of that program files (x86) folder. I have always had it there in the past, but I seem to be having issues copying and pasting files there now and with windows updates (and going to windows 11) I thought it might be better to try getting out of there. I flew tonight with no issues or drop-outs, so hopefully one of those actions addressed it. Thanks again for the suggestions.
  6. MCE keeps dropping out from it's connection with the PMDG 737 in MSFS. It will start with "co-pilot listening" but at some point within several minutes while prepping the plane it will say "plane not recognized...could be sim reload" or something close to that. It can happen in the middle of doing a script or while idle when not executing any command. I've tried maybe 6 flights since I got the new version which supports the PMDG 737 and the first 4 flights or so I was able to complete by restarting MCE as it only dropped out once during the aircraft prep. But the last two flights it dropped out so frequently that I couldn't even get far enough to pull back from the gate and I gave up. I went into my script and made sure that every command that I used was listed verbatim in the available commands document, but that didn't affect it. I am using Pilot2ATC, PACx, AIG traffic controller.
  7. There are plenty of calculators on the internet that allow you to input screen size and # of pixels and it will tell you optimal viewing distance so you can tune your setup. I used this one and found it useful. https://stari.co/tv-monitor-viewing-distance-calculator
  8. This sounds like the eye adaptation feature. If your view is dominated by something dark (like the panel), then the lit areas will look overexposed. If you lift your sightline to get most of the panel out of view, the outside looks normal again. Not sure if this is what you mean, but you can turn the feature off in the UserCfg.opt file by changing EyeAdaptation to 0. I have not tried this myself.
  9. Ha, yes I am persevering with MSFS as well as it is so nice to look at! This issue isn't bothering me now as I just don't load the flightplan in the sim as I don't need it with third party ATC. I have only tried MCE with the Aerosoft CRJ in MSFS so far.
  10. Here is a screenshot of the ATC tab. It does say "other ATC active" . I found an old thread from 2019 where someone said that in P3D they get the request for a flightplan when a plan is loaded in the sim, but does not when there is no flight plan loaded. That is what is happening to me. I have started a couple flights only putting the departing airport and gate in the sim and I don't get the pop up asking for a plan, but I do when I have a plan loaded.
  11. Thanks David for the input on the voices. However, I am getting the dialogue box popping open again to load a flight plan file. And it just keeps popping up when I close it. Does anyone know why MCE would open that while loading? It started after I set it up for the button to contact ATC, so not sure if it expects a flight plan because I am using ATC now. Wondering if it has something to do with UAC as I am running MSFS through Steam, and steam specifically doesn't want to run as administrator. I can set the Flightsimulator.exe file to run as admin, but I have tried that and it doesn't affect this issue. And I am not sure that is a good idea anyway as MSFS isn't set up that way. I have MCE installed in the "program files (x86)" folder which is the default when I run the installer. MSFS is on a different SSD than MCE. Any advice on how to set up UAC for MSFS steam would be appreciated.
  12. I uninstalled and re-installed and I haven't seen the flight plan dialogue box pop up. Not sure what that was about. But I haven't had a chance to take a flight yet to see if all is fixed.
  13. OK, now this is weird. Since I made this change, a dialogue box shows up when I execute MCE for me to select a flight plan. ? If I close the box, it just pops back open. If I select a flight plan it will stay closed but now I'm getting CTD's mid-flight. This is the only thing I've changed other than changing the voice for co-pilot to the microsoft voice instead of Travis. I am using the same voice for pilot2atc as MCE so that the co-pilot sounds the same. Would that cause an issue?
  14. Thanks, I tried the approach you mentioned with the PTT button for ATC and so far I have not had an issue.
