  1. Welcome then! Sounds like you're having fun! B)
  2. 99.5 % 737NG. Ranging between 0.5 - 6 hours flight time. Always real world operators/routes. 0.5 % A2A PA28 / C172
  3. Not sure I see the problem, but if you mean on the approach plates, it is right there. EDDH ILS 23:
  4. Back in Oslo after todays roundtrip to Gdansk, Poland. Uneventful flight with nice flying conditions all along. DY1052/DY1053 Departing 01R ENGM Final rwy 29 EPGD Entering rwy 29 EPGD Cloud surfing on the descent into Oslo Final 01R ENGM Back on Terra firma. Thank you for flying.
  5. Totally up to you. PFPX will give you the optimal FL based on fuel economy. That's what it did when it came up with FL300. However, if you want to replicate real world procedures involving FL restrictions, override PFPX and enter your desired FL manually. Personally, I'd follow the realworld procedures.
  6. Yeah, that's the way it's done in the real world on these routes B) Up - down. Exactly, watch the real world flights and see what FL they normally use. All I am saying is that PFPX isn't crazy, but if you know better (ie route restrictions etc) just override PFPX and put in the specific level you want.
  7. Oslo is a great place to be flying into using FSX. Make sure you join Vatsim, if you haven't already. Oslo is very active with good controllers.
  8. High 200s seems about right for that distance (162 NM). Not taking any (if any) ATC / airspace restrictions into consideration. FL300 is used routinely real world from Oslo to Stavanger (182 NM). So, PFPX isn't doing anything crazy here.
  9. Great scenery, HL and... return flight Manchester - Oslo.
  10. Proper Cave! I'd feel right at home there..lol
  11. Cool! Will be flying our Cardinal down to Copenhagen next Friday. I'll try to take some pics as well then. I guess there is a forum here for real pictures also... hmm
  12. Nice shots, Chicken! Real life flight in the Cirrus? HL: Looks about right this time Great scenery pics as usual!
  13. Danke schön! B) If that was for me... lol. Thanks. Glad you liked it! Very nice shots. Thanks for sharing. Looks like your "not-so-beastly" rig does the job just fine ^_^
  14. AB6025 morning flight departing 23L at Düsseldorf bound for München.
  15. To me, it's not so much the length of the cruise in itself that makes it boring to long-haul, but rather the fact that you are generally on your own up there for hours as ATC very seldom gives you 12 hours of continuos service on Vatsim (I only fly online, offline IS boring and lifeless). It's the dynamic interaction between man, machine and real-people ATC and fellow pilots that brings out the true magic of flight simulation to me.
  16. The reason for including true is that the magnetic inclination, or dip angle, at ENSB is 82.2. Making a magnetic compass possibly unreliable and erratic. You're correct that the difference betweeen True and Magnetic is the variation (declination). Yeah, for flight simulation purposes, you can skip a lot of chapters. Helps with the overall understanding of things though.
