I have no idea, I have never messed with the CPU priority settings in EZDOK.

Ok, I will change that setting first thing before I fly again and let you know about the engine starts. Thanks for the input. I am really digging the FS2Crew for NGX and I have never used FS2Crew at all ! I am not worried about a few bugs here and there, that is part of the evolution of the software.

Re-ran configuration on EZDOK v1.17. Flew from PAJN to PAKT with no problems. Later in day, after computer had been shut down and restarted, I flew PAKT to KPDX. This flight went well until about 100nm out of KPDX, then I got the EZDOK 'hang' - the 'hang' I refer to is not an all out freeze or dreaded CTD. I am able to get to my task manager and shut down EZDOK... in this case I restarted EZDOK and continued my flight on into KPDX. I did notice that after I restarted EZDOK I got only 15-20fps instead of my normal 35-40fps. This isn't the end of the world, I just need to keep tweaking. One user suggested that I lower the CPU priority in EZDOK, I will have to look into that. I also need to upgrade to the latest FSUIPC.

You think this will help with the FO not being able to start the engines ? I thought this was for users who were not getting the clickspot in the VC ?? I still wish there was some way to find out what the FO thinks is not configured correctly in the CDU, which is why I believe he is not wanting to start the engines.

I wasn't even aware that option existed. I will give it a go, thanks Jake. I re-ran the configuration on EZDOK, and flew a couple more flights. It only hung up once, I was able to shut it down and restart it during the flight. I had no problems with EZDOK before these upgrades. I am sure it is something minor that I will figure out. I upgraded to 1.17 to see if that might help out as well.

Someone else mentioned that after the NGX SP1c is installed I need to re-run the EZCA configuration. I will try that first before I re-install.

Ah, I did not re-run the config. Do you think I need to uninstall/re-install anything ? or should I just re-run the EZCA config ? Thanks !

Roughly 1/2 of my flights end up with EZDOK 'hanging' to the point where I have to kill it in Task Manager so I can finish my flight. I am posting this in here as well as EZCA and NGX forums. Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I am having the EXACT same problem. I usually just fire the engines up myself and get on with it. I can't figure out what it is in the CDU that he doesn't think is configured correctly.

When I first got the NGX I was using the 2D views for overhead panels and center pedestal. It worked, but it was sort of clunky. I finally got EZDOK and WOW, I don't think I could fly without it now !

Nvidia inspector will not work at all with DX10 or just the AA won't work ? I am really liking the new inspector and it's internal frame limiter. So I would hate to do away with it.

Are you talking about enabling the 'Direct X 10 Preview' in FSX ?I remember that someone at PMDG (Ryan I believe) said this was not worth it, and it would cause problems. If you are getting that kind of extra frames and less 'hanging' I might have to try it out.

I have already installed it on the main machine, but have barely scratched the surface of using it. If it really takes a toll on my machine I will uninstall it and put it on a separate machine. Thanks for the breakdown, I am looking forward to familiarizing myself with the interface this weekend. I wish I had not already installed it on my main machine. Live and learn I suppose.

I noticed a lot of people are using it on a separate computer, like you are on your laptop. Do you have to install it on both your simulator machine and the laptop and network them somehow ? I haven't dug into this at all.

Ok, I don't know much about XGauge and I did not want it jacking up my aircraft's .cfg files. Are you running AS 2012 networked for a reason ? Does it take a load off of your main FS PC ? I have some fairly powerful PCs (in parts) that I could assemble and run networked if it makes a big difference. That may be stepping a bit above my comfort level though. Anyhow, thanks for the replies !

I just picked up a copy of AS2012 this weekend and was wondering if I should install the XGauge add-on that comes with AS2012. Is this recommended or will it cause problems with NGX ?Thanks!

It makes me wonder if the only department that is open at AOA is there accounting department (receivables anyway) ...I sorely regret buying the Captain's Package up front. The fact that they won't refund for this product is particularly troubling to me, it shows that they might not even have the money left to refund.
