  1. Ontopic: P3D v2 is the future flight sim for me, no doubt about it. No matter how much i tried, i never really enjoyed FSX. (too ugly) Can't wait to entertrain myself with P3D v2.
  2. Will the c172 benefit too ?
  3. Anyone there having the Flight1 Pilatus PC-12 ?
  4. You mean this https://sites.google.com/site/aimecreations/freeware-fsx/treex ?
  5. Thank you all for answering. Like i said in my first post, i'm more interested in flying a "plane" and not just some nice textures. So it is very important for me to have as many functional switches possible, and to know that the aircraft reacts realistically to my actions. I know about the RealAir Dukes and Milviz's twins, but i want a single engine for know. I'm inclined to go for the Flight1 PC-12, but don't know how well it behaves in comparison to the real one. I'm waiting for more opinions.
  6. Which one of these two, the Flight1 PC-12 and Carenado PA46T Malibu, is the best ? I'm interested in system complexity and FDE ! Thank you !
  7. Will do. Yup... so it's another FSX issue. :( Thank you for your trouble. I hope Prepar3d v2.0 will be a big improvement over this @%$@# which is FSX. )
  8. Ok, i double checked just to make sure: the screenshot i posted, was indeed taken at 15:40 (3:40 PM) local time, and the date is August 5th, so i don't understand why mine is just before dusk (if you look at the right you can see that it's nighttime), while yours is clearly in the daytime. Maybe you have FS Real Time or something like that ? Anyway... can you please take another screenshot, a few minutes before dusk (in free flight screen, set time to dusk, and set back a few minutes till it's day) ?
  9. Did you set the time & date as i said ? Because looking at the picture, it's clearly not taken before dusk, and the season is different also. BTW the ground textures seems fine, in your screenshot, unlike mine.
  10. Yes, i can see this from the virtual cockpit. As the time advances, the ground textures become lighter, just to darken again after a few minutes. I did a reinstall of FSX, maybe i should do a clean install of both OS & FSX. :( Can someone please make a screenshot, in the same location (YBLT) and date & time set to 5 August at 15:40 ?
  11. If you look closely where the aircraft is, the ground darkens and then as the time advances it gets brighter, instead of darkening even further. Here is a more explicative image:
  12. Bump, bump, bump...
  13. This screenshot is taken on 5 August at 15:40, airport YBLT: I just did a clean install of FSX, thinking i did something wrong, but the problem is still there. This happens all over the world, not just in this location. Is this how FSX looks like for you too ? :(
  14. Everybody, forget what i said. It has nothing to do with ENB settings. J van E try to set Water to 1x or none and you will see why you had this problem too. So if anyone has this issue, set Water to at least Low 2x
  15. Yes, yes, yes. I didn't knew about droplet function ! Thank you !
  16. Actually this is how i found out about this in the first place: i made some tweaks for the night, and noticed they appear in daytime also, whenever i looked down to the ground textures. And you know what ?! This also fixes the screen darkening problem i had, whenever i looked to the panel in VC !
  17. I'm soooooooooo happy :yahoo: I found what the problem was !!! enbseries.cfg has two different sets of settings: one for day and one for night But how does it know when is day and when is night ? The answer is: by analyzing the brightness of the pixels. So... when i was looking down, the dark pixels of the ground textures made it think that it was night, and automatically switched to night settings. What is the fix ? Answer: i put the same numbers both to day and night I don't use enbseries when flying at night, but those who want, can make two separate configs, one for day and one for nigh. Thank you all !
  18. I was talking about FSX generic landclass textures. I did some manual editing with DXTBmap, and i assumed that is capable of batch processing. I was wrong ! So... is the method you posted the fastest, and also has the best quality ?
  19. Thanks ! I'll give it a try.
  20. I don't have a weather program, but i keep hearing about ASE's haze layer beeing that good compared to FSX's default. Can you post some comparison screenshots between the two ? The ENB config used in the images, is from John Venema. But i tried others as well, and the problem persists. Whenever i look down the haze disappears. :( EDIT: weird things going on after more testing... ... while i'm looking down, so with no haze, if i press F9 or change to outside view and then back to VC, the haze is back. But as soon as i look around with the mouse and then look down again, the haze disappears. :(
  21. Everything is default.
  22. Actually, it seems that you guys are right (timest & J van E), the seond one is how it should be. After more testing, it appears that when you look down, the haze instantly disappears, and is very annoying. This only happens when ENB is active. So... is there a fix for it ? :(
  23. What is the problem with ENB ?! If i look down, the textures look very good. If i look anywhere else, the textures become milky, hazy... This happens only with ENB activated. Is there a fix for it ?
  24. The easiest way i found to do it is by folowing these steps: 1. DXTBmp.exe batch process to convert textures to DDS 2. Photoshop Automation to edit textures (using Nvidia Plug-in) 3. DXTBmp.exe batch process to convert textures back to DXT1 Is this right ? Or... is there another/easier way to do it ?
