  1. I saw this yesterday on their forums. My only question is in regards to the .ace file that appears to be what sets the checklist. I pm'd the person who created the thread and am waiting to see what his response is.
  2. I agree with Whami. The existing clickspots work extremely well. That's not to say that the proposed mod might be helpful for others. With the PFD modifications that allow for adjustments to HDG/CRS/SPD/ and VS, I am finding that I am using the PFD more as I have set my EZDOK settings to get a better view of the PFD area which also allows me to press the appropriate buttons. I know that there has been discussion about a possible page two for the flight information panel. It would be great to see some of the V speed info on page two. Maybe that can be considered?
  3. It does work. You have to make sure that the preset button on the PFD shows GPS in blue, and the active nav source (which is in green above the preset) shows LOC1 or LOC2 in order for the CRS to work. Per Janek's post: -GPU connect indication on ENG display (Aircraft on ground, white if no ENG running, yellow blink if GPU still connected and ENG N1 more then 20%) if you taxi with GPU like me -"C&D" with, sunshield up, door open and GPU connected -"Ready for Taxi" with door close and GPU disconnected I am not seeing the indication outlined above. Also, when the aircraft is cold and dark, I am getting the opposite reaction of what is mentioned above. When I start the aircraft using "Ready for Taxi" the door then opens. When using "Cold & Dark" the door is closed and no GPU connected. Is there a setting I can check? Regards, Todd
  4. Bert, Janek, Ramon, and Ray, Thank you guys very much for this. This is really awesome.
  5. In the checklist provided by Carenado, there is a ground check for flaps, specifically Item 7 under BEFORE TAXI. I have been unable to see this work and I am guessing it is not modeled. Has anyone else tried? The checklist item is as follows: 7. Flaps - CHECK and SET. a. Set flaps to GROUND FLAPS and verify both speed brakes deploy. b. Advance the throttles to above 85% N2; verify speed brakes retract and the FLAPS >35° annunciator illuminates. c. Retard throttles to idle; verify lights extinguish and speed brakes redeploy. d. Set flaps to TAKEOFF AND APPROACH; verify speed brakes retract. Regards
  6. For those without the Bert mod, I figured out a quick interim solution. I flew a test flight along with an LPV approach and everything worked fine. Here goes: 1. Once you have the aircraft powered up and your flightplan set up in the GTN 750, cycle through the GTN 750 GPS/VLOC switch twice (GPS, VLOC, GPS, VLOC, GPS). YOu want to make sure the magenta GPS is show after you cycle the buttons a couple of times. 2. On the PFD your Active Navigation Source (Green Text) will probably say GPS and your PRESET (Blue text) will say either LOC1 or LOC2. 3. Press the PRESET button so that LOC1 or LOC2 is now the active navigation source and GPS is the preset. 4. Set your FP altitude and VS setting. 5. Once at the runway, press HDG and FD (make sure FD is got the proper symbology) 6. After takeoff and passing the normal key positions, activate your YD and autopilot and HDG will engage. Press VS which will continue the climb at the preset VS until you get to appropriate climb speed, then press FLCH which will activate ALT. 7. Press the NAV button on the AP then quickly press the PRESET on the PFD so that GPS is now the active source. Everything should be ok. I hope this makes sense to everyone, if not, let me know. Also, the VS/FLCH/ALT item is based on another post within the forum that works very well. The only issue I am having is with descents, so I just use VS mode for descents. Regards
  7. I am also messing around with a interim interim solution but I am checking a couple things first.
  8. I have the same problem that has just surfaced. I will check the other items as well.
  9. Speaking of checklists, has any located the Battery Disconnect (NORMAL/DISC) switch or is it not modeled?
  10. That is just...beautiful! All my favorite colors too. I love all of your repaints, but I think this one will become my favorite once complete. Regards.
  11. Thanks Richard. I appreciate your initial impressions. I am going ahead with my purchase and blocking my weekend
  12. Quick question, I own the old version of the FSX/P3D C90B King Air. I have not decided if I am going to upgrade to the GTX version. However, will the mod also work with the older version? Regards
  13. I also purchased the GTN 750 this evening and would like to install it into the Phenom as well. Regards!
  14. Hi Ray, You are at the right spot, however, it will only show at the top of the MFD display. Unfortunately, it won't show at the top of the PFD. Regards, Todd
  15. Ray, Outstanding review. I purchased the Phenom about two weeks. ago. I too have had my share of moments but I really enjoy the aircraft. All of your comments were spot on and hopefully Carenado will respond by updating the Prodigy and other aircraft functions to make the model truly outstanding. Your review highlighted some great tips that I will follow up on. I also want to give kudos to FSMania and his videos. Watching them over and over helped me with the AFCS controls, even though I still have issues with GS capture and the "FLC". Also, in your review, you mentioned that you "wished the TAS was easier to find on the MFD and more prominently displayed." I found through my learning the Prodigy System that you can add TAS to the top of the MFD via the AUX System Status page. I usually have that displayed instead of Ground Speed at the top of my MFD. Again, Outstanding! Todd
