  1. Awesome, great info. By chance are you in the state of CT....?
  2. Mr Hodges Thanks for your response. This is not the first time I have heard, REX textures + ASN weather engine. I also fly 100% of the time on VATSIM. So, I think I am headed in your direction. On a recent flyin to JFK, loaded with traffic, my PMDG 737NGX was going from overspeed to stalling within minutes. ATC noticed and even quizzed me if I was under control. "No sir, REX is, I replied"! Can you share the basic concept how to properly configure after I purchase ASN? I run FSX. Thanks Dave
  3. Even with FSUIPC wind smoothing I am getting crazy changes in winds. So bad that it is causing overspeed issues at times. I have read about the TAT and OAT issues, but I am not having any problems with temperatures. Just with winds changing direction quickly and erratically. Dave
  4. I purchased TSS soundpacks for the 767 and my ATR72. I bet they are as good or even better. Have your choice of three different engines...P&W, GE, and Rolls. My point, which I haven't stressed is this. I have tweaked the 767 to the max. Why should I bother spending $90 for a T7 when I fail to see the value in simply adding another long range Boeing to my fleet. Appreciate all the feedback. Sticking with my 767. Graphics is not a game changer, nor compression as I fly on Vatsim and my VA does not allow. For me the sim is about navigation, and learning procedures pure and simple whether VFR in the J41 or IFR in the 767. Flight dymanics...really...in a sim...I bet most folks engage the autopilot 1000AGL.
  5. Silly? Really? $90 is not chump change in my world. Maybe you have money trees in your yard. Must be nice. I asked a question. You did not have to be rude in your useless response.
  6. I am certain I have opened a can of worms...take your shots at me. Curious here. I own LevelD 767 and love flying it. What does $90US get me that I do not have in the 767? if it is just sharper visuals, brakes that turn red and other eye candy differences I will keep my wallet closed. I realize the 767 is old and that PMDG is by far the most revered add on developer in the world. I should say I do own the J41 and enjoy it greatly. I should add that I fly on Vatsim and have no interest in 12 hour unattended flights overnight to return in to my computer in the morning. Dave

  8. Anyone know what lines in the aircraft config I would edit to reduce the power. In my opinion, it is way overpowered in it's current state.
  9. I have seen this link. This implies that you have a clean install of the B1900 in FS9. I do not have, nor do I want FS9. I need to trick PMDG's installer somehow into FS9 folders. Not exactly sure what directories I need to set up.
  10. I do not own FS9 and have seen and used this product on a friends FSX setup. Is it possible to buy this product and install it into FSX. I was thinkning that all I would need to do would be to build a sudo FS9 directory with appropriate directories to capture the files correctly.
  11. Thx Randy! Where in TX are you? We have property south of Alpine...
  12. Anyone? Just a quick look please...reality check. Budgeting under $1500USD.
  13. New build critique please. First, a big thanks to Word Not Allowed!! Helped me tremendously with this project. I plan to O/C in the 4.3-4.5 area. Also plan on Windows 7 on the SSD...I have probably gone overboard on my SDD selection. I also use FSGenesis Mesh, UTX, GTX, and the usual add-ons, Level-D, and PMDG. May add REX, not sure. Comments appreciated both good and bad. http://secure.newegg...Number=20249225 Thanks in Advance Dave

I manage pretty good frame rates with my current add-ons, even when flying on VATSIM running FSINN using a dual monitor set-up. Thx Dave
  15. I have a modest CPU. Intel Core 2 Quad 9450 2.66 Ghz4GB RamNVIDIA GeForce 9800GT 2x Non-SLI modeWill this bird fly on my rig without Major problems? Also, most the time I fly online...VATSIM...not tha it matters...Thanks Dave
  16. Nice work. Do you mind me asking what your rig cost? And can you comment on performance with FSX.
  17. Rick, just sent you a private message. I had the same issue to deal with. Someone in the FSEconomy community sent me the required files for the update. PM me with email address and I will forward.Dave.
  18. Up and running. Used a fake FS9 directory and it installed perfectly! Thanks!
  19. I did via download. Per the readme file it installs v 1.1. Why does PMDG's product page indicate that their is a v1.2 ?? http://www.precisionmanuals.com/pages/product/b1900d.html
  20. First off I do not own FS9. After creating a fake FS9 directory I managed to get her (B1900D) installed and even downloaded an additional livery which also worked fine. My question now deals with V1.2 update. Have downloaded and tried to update using the same fake directory without any luck. Update installer does not like my fake directory??Any ideas, help, much appreciated.Dave
