  1. I have a very old CH yoke, pedals and throttle quadrant with default curves. They advise not to go past flaps 15 on high crosswind. And correct trim is extremely important.
  2. If you want some more context into my above post, please see a discussion I had with the devs on discord: https://discord.com/channels/531808796822208512/1206068769211031643
  3. Yes, I have flown planes before. It's interesting to me that you're saying it doesn't fly right at all with 0 hours of flight time, while PC-12 pilots say that it is ok. Or maybe your profile picture shows your idea of real flight dynamics.
  4. I honestly have no problems landing this aircraft. Perfect take-off and landing today. Perfect landing on 14kts gusting over 20 crosswind a couple of weeks ago. My solution - following the manual advice and faqs from SWS, and lots and lots and lots of practice (I have over 75 hours on the hobbs right now). I can't tell you how many circuits I've flown in this. I think there is a fundamental difference in what people want from an add-on aircraft. Some want systems depth and failures. Some, like me, want an aircraft to fly as close to the real thing as possible. If you want to "fly on rails", you should not buy this product. If you like your flying skills to be challenged and the satisfaction of proficiency with hard work, this is the PERFECT aircraft for you.
  5. The ability to have Active Sky completely control the weather.
  6. Can someone point me to the manual for this add-on? I'm having trouble locating it - thanks!
  7. Is there a way to change the headphone simulation without pausing the game via the "esc" button?
  8. This looks great, I'll definitely want this one! I've got a couple questions for the developer(s): - What engines are planned for this? Are they the stock engines or are you planning on having options for the RAM engines with horsepower increases? https://www.ramaircraft.com/performance414a - Is compatibility with the PMS GTN 750 planned? https://pms50.com/msfs/ Thanks!
  9. Thanks, Bert! It worked! Another question: I noticed "My Gauges" in your 182Q config on the F1 GTN 650/750 forum. Where did you get the "My Gauges" with the filler and Narco Navcom?
  10. Bert, I installed two 650's in my F33A, but I can't use the touch screen on unit #1 because the "finger pointer" that pops up the original GPS gets in the way. Is there any way I can get rid of this?
  11. I just got the ipad app for Father's Day and can't stress how much I love it and how it has streamlined my FS experience. Thanks! My question is this: With the new update for the charts today, I can no longer access the AFDs for airports. They show up in the "other" chart list, but they won't download. I can still download all the other charts (IAPs, SIDs, STARs, etc). Is there something I'm doing wrong?
  12. Sorry I've been gone so long - I got to go away for two weeks over Thanksgiving.I need some help. Bert was right in that it needed some more power, so I took his advice (see above). The only problem is that now when I cruise at FL 230, I can't pull the props back any lower than 2500 RPM. Does anyone know how I can fix this in the aircraft.cfg, or do I have to start messing with the air file?
  13. Thank you so much for your help, Bert! I noticed I was a little slow in the cruise at 78% and 23,000, so thanks for helping me out.Since I want this to be as real as possible, is there anything else anyone thinks I should change?Would you advise me re-releasing this addon when I get it right?
  14. According to the owner's manual, page 2-26, "L TRANS" means "Transfer of wing locker fuel complete". An optional system for the 340 is 20 gallon fuel tanks in the forward portion of the nacelle wing lockers. If you have this system, the only way to use this fuel is to transfer it into the main (tip) tank on the same side and then burn it with the fuel selector on main or cross-feed. You have to activate the pump to transfer the fuel, and when it is all transferred, this light on the ann. panel comes on so you know to turn the pump off - then the light goes out.It is interesting that this light came on for you since this aircraft is not modeled with wing locker tanks. I had a similar problem with the "SURF DEICE" light remaining on even after saving the flight and reloading for the next one. It stayed on even if I had the boots on or off. So, I completely re-loaded the plane and it went off. If it's still on, maybe this will help.
  15. I just uploaded an update I made to the 340 which gives it 335 horsepower RAM VII engines instead of the original 285 hp engines. Carenado's model is a 1974 model with the original 285 hp TSIO-520-K engines. Since this is my very first upload, let me know if I need to change anything. You can search for it in the avsim.com file library by using RAM VII or Cessna 340.
