    Is it a .ptp file you have downloaded? If so, open up PMDG Operations Centre. Then click "Aircraft and Liveries" at the top. Then choose "Liveries Utilities". Then just make sure your sim is on MSFS and you have chosen the correct installed product (DC6). Then you should see an "Install from PTP File" and you just need to choose the file.

    He would be fine as no one else would have had the DC6. It occurs when someone else has the DC6 close to you. Now I remember having this problem with the Carenado C182 and the temp fix I used was to turn on generic models. But between the original release of that aircraft and now, that bug doesn’t seem to be an issue. No idea if Asobo did something or the aircraft devs

    Well it just means whatever the fix was it’s now a problem again in the sim or developers need to do something in a certain way. But maybe someone who knows these things can chime in at any point and explain it

    You don’t have to buy it because it’s not even an official story. I’m just saying “it could have”. Also it’s possibly they knew it would be a problem but it’s down to Asobo to fix and they couldn’t get a fix out in time. There’s a bunch of these “maybes”. Anyway, this was a problem with other 3rd party aircraft some months ago but I’m not sure what the fix was in the end.

    It could have also been easily missed. If you are beta testing, you might try a bunch of different places in the world but not actually "fly together. As it seems to be if you are within like 20 miles of each other the problem occurs. Whoknows, I'm not an expert on the bug or whos problem it is but hopefully there is a fix sooner rather than later.

    You can go on multiplayer but if you fly near to or load at an airport where another DC6 is then you will more than likely get a CTD. So it depends if you want to take the risk or not 😛

    Everything off apart from weather/time being set to live seems to do the trick for me. You could be getting a CTD for another reason but this works for me.

    It sounds like more of a bug with the sim rather than PMDGs direct fault. As it will work just fine on VATSIM/IVAO. It will be the way the online msfs servers inject models of other addons I would expect.

    I think I remember having this exact issue with the carenado C182 when it was first released but strangely haven't had any issues with any other mods in recent times. Hopefully it's a quick fix whatever the problem is.

    @orchestra_nl The other thread is closed. Did they manage to fix it back then or is it still an ongoing issue but new addons like the DC6 can cause it to creep up?

    Good luck with your refund request. But as I said, it's not a feature its a bug and PMDG are aware and also have asked Asobo for help regarding the issue with CTD when using multiplayer/group flight when another DC6 user is close.

    They would have gotten them from the ops center. You can get stuff like Delta, SAS, KLM, Red Bull and others from there.

    Is this for the DC6? Then no the official liveries are delivered via the Ops Ctr. I'm not sure what issue you have with it but you can try and ask on the PMDG forums for help with the ops center. There will be a paint kit and member created liveries at some point though.

    Why is no multiplayer no option? They are aware of the problem and are also speaking with Asobo/MS to try and get that part of the aircraft fixed. If you are having CTDs still even when you fly it with multiplayer off then something else is going on. You will have to contact support for further help.

    For me, it's the way the plane looks in MSFS with the lighting/reflections/textures compared to what it looked like when it came out for P3D originally. I wasn't really interested it in for the previous flight sim platforms but it just looks fantastic.

    For those having CTDs - Try it without having multiplayer on. It seems there is an issue that would cause to CTD if you load in at place where another DC6 player might also be.

    I don't have that issue either, MSFS is Windowed mode and I've been clicking into other apps like Chrome, discord etc and haven't had a CTD (so far).

    At the end of the day, everyone will have a different view on the value of money aspects. I don't think there is much point going around in circles on the topic.

    Nope - "Pricing and time-of-day availability is still pending, and will be announced shortly before product release." So just rumours and speculation on pricing at the moment.
