  1. Also did you update to the new scenery library 151108? you must do this after every install.
  2. This also works for the Saitek Yoke and throttle quadrant. You must use a REGISTERED Copy of FSUIPC. Thanks Mounty for the instructions works great.
  3. You are welcome. Here is what I have everything set at. Now mind you I have my traffic turned off or set to 0. the reason for this is because I fly on VATSIM most of the time, I f I do decide to fly off line I will set the traffic to 40% because this is where you take a huge impact on frame rates. The only payware aircraft I fly is the Wilco 737 PIC, Wilco Airbus Evolution, Wilco EMB V2 175/195 jets. Wilco ERJ145 V2 and the PMDG B1900D. I do not have any of the Ifly or other PMDG aircraft. (I use the POSKY Freeware). I have payware sceneries from Fly Tampa, FS Dreamteam, Blue Print Simulations, and one's I have created Available on this very website. Mostly small regional airports for both FSX and FS9. I use REX for environment textures and I use Active Sky Evolution for my weather engine. Here is the scenery settings. Aircraft Settings. Weather Settings. Hardware settings. Here is the NVIDIA Control panel setting for FS9. Now mind you. I get over 100 fps in the sky with no problems. The heaviest impact is when I fly into New York's JFK or Newark and Chicago. I am using FS Dreamteam KJFK scenery in New York, FS Dreamteam scenery KORD in Chicago and Imagine simulations Newark Liberty airport in Newark N.J. These are high quality sceneries and I believe that is what causes the slow down. But i can fly smoothly.I will get a steady 20 fps , but it is smooth. No stutters, no jumpiness, just smooth flow and that is what you want. I hope that helps you. Let me know. I love the way the Mac Book Pro handles it very well. I was skeptical at first but after running FSX very well with this laptop I figured it must run FS9 well, and it does. In fact that's all I run is FS9, I have way too many sceneries and too much money I spent on Payware and hardware just to give up on FS9. Also I can not edit to remove the link that the previous post had made, Sorry about that I do not want any one mad at me. But it is a game that is long not being produced any more and it was the biggest PITA to have to run it from a disc. I will not post links publicly I will only send them Direct private message.
  4. Yes it will and quite well. I am running fs9 with mine. Go to this link to get the no cd fix.http://www.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_flight_simulator_2004.shtml
  5. yes it will and quite well. i am running fs9 with mine.
  6. I do about once a week. I use the "fly now" feature and put in the departing and arriving locations, let REX load the textures, then start ASE and let it provide the weather. So about everyday I change them.
  7. Typical teenager. I want everything NOW!!! I bet if they put out a 777 and it did not fly perfectly you would be the first one complaining PMDG sucks!!! Stop being a baby. Quality work takes quality time. PMDG makes quality. That's what we all pay for. So put on your big girl pants and make you own 777 and see how long it takes YOU!
  8. You can run a laptop, you will need a processor that is very high in speed. The new i5 or even better i7 processors run FSX pretty well. I run FSX on a MAC Book pro 17" with windows 7 64 bit running in Bootcamp. It has a Nvidia 630 GT video card and 16 GB or DDR3 ram. It runs with all sliders at 3/4 and scenery at max. I get steady 65 fps. I do not run the PMDG NGX but the I-Fly 737 runs very well. I also run ASE and REX textures. Now mind you this laptop brand new cost $2700.00. But for that you can look at a new Alienware by Dell for around $1900.00 . Do yourself a favor and do the research on what you will need before you spend a ton of money on a computer that will disapoint you. FSX needs CPU more then graphics but you will still need a good graphics card to get good results. My personal choice for graphics cards are Nvidia. I have had nothing but one problem after the next with ATI cards. They just do not perform well at all and I never had one last over 24 months. Nvidia makes the best graphics cards hands down. Memory I would get at least 8gb of ram. Granted FSX will only see 4 or 6 depending on what type of tweaks you perform with the FSX cfg file. But in order for your computer to see all 8 gb you will need to run windows 7 64 bit. So be prepared to have some issues with installing some addon sceneries and other software that is only supported by 32 bit operating systems. There are work arounds you will be googling your mind off to find solutions. So do not listen to anyone who tells you buy a desktop, desktops are going away in the future. Manufactures are looking toward tablet computers. Oh BTW search AMAZON.com or NEW EGG for your laptop, keyword GAMING LAPTOPS.
  9. Anthony there is a virus going around now that is exactly what it does. Problem is you need to get into safe mode to run a anti virus that will remove the trojan. Run the free AVG latest anti virus to remove it.
  10. I actually will not buy any computer with ATI graphics. I used to be a firm believer in ATI but had so many driver issues with them and bought a Nvidia card to replace an old ATI card and have never had any troubles with it at all. Nvidia makes a great card. You just can not go wrong with a NVIDIA card.
  11. Tim: I would recommend that you go to the REX forums, and do a little research there. I love REX textures and yes the HD ones can be a little intensive but you can go into the configuration panel of REX ES, and set the non HD Texture's. Please go to the REX forums and Register make sure you read how to register and confirm that you are a verified product user. You will receive better help there from the software developers then you will here where everyone will give you a different answer.
  12. For those of you that have the brakes slowing the plane down you need to go into your FSX setting under toe brake and turn down the NULL zone to 5% and turn the sensitivity down to 25%. There is a guide on saitek forums about this. I found the best solution is to purchase a registered copy of FSUIPC and let that control the brakes and rudders. Also if you have the Yoke and Throttles you can easily assign them. I have FSUIPC do the work and disabled FSX from controlling the brake rudders and yoke. Here is a YouTube video on the brake settings http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=ZR53H0X6qhk&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DZR53H0X6qhk
  13. I use REX for textures and Active Sky Evo for the weather engine.
  14. Well lets start off with the basic's and PLEASE do not get testy with me asking you these simple questions that YOU forgot to mention in your first post. 1). Do you have a JOYSTICK or a YOKE and if so who makes them? 2). Did you go to their website and download the latest set of drivers for them? 3). Did you try re-calibrating them in windows? Until you answer those 3 questions there is nothing anyone can help you with because that is IMPORTANT information to your problem. There are 15 different joysticks, 3 different yokes. So we need to know what you have so we can pinpoint your problem. Thank You.
