  1. I am currently reinstalling FSX and my library of aircraft. I am able to install PMDG 737NGX base and activate it with no problems. However when I try to install any of the patches I get the dreaded 'activation error' that a small number of users sometimes get. From reading through some of the past posts on this issue I don't see where it was fixed. I even installed up through update SP1c with no luck. I had no issues like this when I installed in my previous system. What do I need to do to get 737NGX activated properly and up and running? Thanks, John A. Mason GA
  2. I had to think long and hard before deciding to spend the money for a RealityXP GPS system. I ultimately decided to get a 530/430 setup (no crossfill, etc., however) and couldn't be happier with it. Highly recommended.
  3. I agree with you completely. I'm sure I will be buying the 172 but marketing games like this do nothing but potentially hurt A2A's reputation.
  4. I've had the PA46T for months now but was put off by the lack of a tutorial and cockpit layout map. I know this topic has been talked about before. I found the documentation for the RealAir Turbine Duke to be excellent. It's a shame such a great product as Carenado's PA46T does not have something similar. I wonder if there has been any updates yet... that is has anyone developed a comprehensive tutorial for flying the PA46T?
  5. I don't know how I missed them all these years, but I've never heard of RealAir until this thread. I just picked up the RealAir Duke Turbine/B60 combo (currently on sale). I am very pleased with the quality so far. Excellent documentation. This is what I expect from a commercial product. Gregg, you are right... this is a discussion Carenado should be having. My guess is they aren't interested.
  6. I have to agree with the OP. I find this plane very frustrating due to the lack of documentation and cockpit layout diagram. I think adequate documentation is critical and must be a part of any quality payware add-on. The user should not have to go outside Carenado to hunt for necessary documentation. This is my first Carenado purchase and I'm already put off on buying anything else from them. It's a shame because it's obvious a lot of effort went into modeling the PA46T.
  7. +1 That's what I learned in the navy. It's still true in any environment.John
  8. Ken,From your avatar it looks like you are a naval officer. What community do you work in? I'm a retired submariner (ETCS).V/rJohn
  9. Matt,I think it's funny that you with 12 posts to your name finds it acceptable to tell tripcap7, with 771 posts to his name, that he won't be missed in this forum. You can't be serious, can you? Additionally, *every* customer is important to a company, especially smaller companies.John
  10. You're a retired bubblehead too? I think the odds are pretty low that you'd find three of us flying the same airplane at the same time.
  11. The main thing I'm enjoying right now as I read through this thread is reading everyone's signatures & info! So please make sure you have a good signature so I can see what kinds of cool equipment you all are running on. And if you don't yet have a cool signature, that's something else to do while waiting for SP1. 8-)
  12. Hi Matt, I totally understand where you are coming from.I hope you have a great solo today. And from a retired submariner to a future naval aviator best of luck on your upcoming career! John
  13. No, I'm up in the Athens area. Relatively hurricane-free up here.Hey, maybe we can try and squeeze the 737 down into 4J6 one day. <smile>
  14. That's hilarious, William! Nicely done. 8-)BTW - I retired from Kings Bay back in '94.John
