  1. Perfect, But how do you load the flight plan first?..:)
  2. I'm no expert but I use FSXpand (not mentioned) I also don't have an overhead panel BUT:Using USB game devices, or USB game controller convertors and standard game devices, FsXPand/FsClient can handle the input to control all cockpit control functions usually set by use of a keyboard. Each device that is based on standard joystick technology (variable resistors and buttons) recognized by Windows as such, can serve as a control for your cockpit. You as a cockpitbuilder might want to run as little software as needed. If you choose the right controls available on the market, you won't need to run any further drivers while using FsXPand.Unlike some other suites, FsXpand has a one key, many clients policy. You can use as many displays as you want. A key will not expire, and you can use it again on another PC if you want a hardware upgrade.http://cockpitsolutions.com/
  3. Yes very loud and unnatural, does have to do anything with hitting the q twice. It is almost the same sound as when you lower the gear..You turn the engines off and everything off and the gear sound keeps humming loud....super loud. besides if the plane is parked on the ground the sound should not be running...BUT the nose gear sound was produced and recorded with very high levels as a matter of fact is has peaks of almost +3 decibels over 0DB. I lowered -5db to calm it down a little, the FMC sound options does not have an adjustment for this.... BWT I am a Sound Engineer myself... peaks over 0 db in digital sound is OVER modulation big time... -20db's digital is 0 db analog. Therefore when a sound like this have this powerfull signal...it is LOUD..
  4. OK! I found the culprits and a temporary way of loading the aircraft. (I say temporary, I hope this is solved in the future)1. First I want to state clearly that I have deleted all the files recomended including the PANEL STATE files. However once you re-create a situation with the plane, 2 more files are re-created again in the PMDG panel state folder. Those 2 little new guys are the ones NOT letting the plane load!2. Went ahead to the folder...found them and re-delete them.3. Load the default flight, the one with the Glider in the Harbor. after the glider is flying...4. Load the Pmdg plane, right there in the air...the plane will load, it will be flying while the systems initialize.I try using the default flight and changing airports and save it as a new situation to then change the plane IT WILL NOT WORK.5. Once the Plane is flying I just go to the flight planner and create a flight. As you know the plane will be moved to the departing airport and there will be your PMDG plane waiting. Once this baby loads it flies great! My system is windows 7 32 bits BUT if you manage your settings and memory usage, you can fly this plane very good... See attached photos...I can clear the cache while in flight and streamline the processes and regain between 200 to 350 mb's while flying. also I'm flying with weather, clouds and water textures... 26 frames on the outside!!!..yeehaaa...15 to 17 on the inside which is great! And I still got about 1 GIG free of memory! No traffic!Scenery settingsI hope these findings help the other users with the same problem! And if PMDG change the software so there is no re-creating of the panel state files, maybe will be less problems for some users (al least loading the plane after the default situation)Got to go, there are some passengers waiting! :)
  5. Yes, after I installed the SP1 update, things went wrong!. It was perfect before. Now NOT even loading a default first works sometimes...still looking for answers. As the title of my message states, There got to be something wrong!. How can it work perfectly for hours, load a situation with the plane etc. and then not work at all no matter what you do. Still searching for answers... Now NOT even starting with the default situation does anything..It just crash the sim once I try to load the plane at any airport, boom it crashes....
  6. After the initial problems, (wrong livery manager, old livery version etc) after installing the SP1 it was GREAT!. My one studder per second was gone, the planes fly smoothly incredible!, I was able to save flight and load any of the planes. After I downloaded and installed SP1 update, things went wrong. I have reach a point that sometimes I have to start FSX over 20 times (Just for the PMDG) I have to load another flight with another airplane, try to load one of the planes, until I hit the jackpot and the plane loads without the PMDGNGX.dll error, crashing the sim. However once I'm able to load one of the planes, usually the Janet livery, ALL the other models will load without any problems and flight ok.This is NOT a memory problem, I have a utility (very handy) that shows me my memory usage while the plane is loading..even in flight I can "Trim the processes and Clear the Cache" regaining while in flight almost 400mb! the system is loaded al 62% leaving almost 1 gig available.Since I downloaded the new version of the SP1 on top of the original, I don't have it to try to install everything again with the original file. I know I'm not the only one with this error. IS there a way to get the original SP1 file?Have anybody found a solution for this crashes after the sp1 update? Also IMPORTANT!, Once I load any of the plane models succesfully I save a flight and everything turns ok. I can shut the sim OFF and I can re-start it with NO problems as many times as I want.It is the NEXT day when I start my SIM that the whole problem starts again, crashing, not loading the same flight that was perfect the day before. Once again when I load it fine, everything works ok for the rest of the day.
  7. I was having similar problems, when in fact there was enough memory... it is something weird. I don't know what it is...it loads fine one day, the next day gives me that exact problem and there is no way to load the plane. This is how is works for me....start FSX with the default flight, the one with the glider...open your FSX.cfg file go down and delete what ever situation you have..leave it blank, it will load the default one... even if it it on the air, you will see that your plane will load, any of them. (PMDG'S) CReate a flight & save it...After I do that and start it, when I re-start fsx with a saved pmdg flight it will load. Sometimes I just load the default, then load the plane, then go to an airport and create a flight.
  8. thanks, Sorry I had a senior moment!...
  9. I have the same problem, what baffles me is that it worked perfectly for 3 days with the same controllers., even loading the 600 and 700 directly. I have never disconected anything and it worked fine. Now even loading up another aircraft first don't fix the problem. I haven't change anything in the computer or install anything. It tries to load the aircraft I can see it and then BOOM!Fatal error...works fine with all other planes. Please help!
  10. Where can I find the link to download the newer livery manager version. I've been through every page in the PMDG website with no success. Thanks
  11. I am having the same problem..dealing with it as I type..:) will re-install everything
  12. Update..now without any changes all 600 / 700 models crash the sim after using it for a couple of days with no problems... :( On my way to uninstall and re-install everything. damage started after installing new liveries.
  13. I got the same problems, my equip is new no dirty pods. The auto pilot disconects and it is constantly correcting up & down, you asign the altitude and continues going up pass it. Then the auto pilot disconnects.
  14. Speedbird I had the same problem, the uninstallation don't work from the sp1 because it says that it is already installed. the same for the base pack. Not that easy..:) uninstall from the Control panel and re-install everything.
  15. I installed the new 600/700 model. Everything is ok after the re-installation of the new sp1. I re-downloaded even the repaints. The 800/900 still works perfect. However the 600/700 model crashes the simulator if I select the easyjet, or the westjet. It works ok with the Janet so obviously is not the plane, Continental in the 700, is ok too.Problems is Scandinavian in the 600, Westjet and Easyjet in the 700. I noticed that these repaints name is NG instead of NGX...Any help? All the models fly great, it crashes the sim with differents repaints.Everything has been re-installed, new SP1 and re-downloaded all the relevant repaints.
  16. As somebody estated before in another post, a clear HUD is not necessarily a dll file issue. I follow the advice and re-install my FSUIPC, problem solve! HUD working perfectly fine..and even my add on tab that dissapeared after an installation of the Caribbean Airlines livery is back! with everything that was installed in the sim before! Got to go...plane is on hold!
  17. De Campos the same thing happened exactly to me... uninstall the liveries.... go to your fsx.cfg and delete the start up situation...leave it blank..the sim will start with the default.... Re-install a livery.. start the sim with any other plane.....now try to load the pmdg 800 default first... This worked for me...I even start now another livery BUT after I start with another plane...my add ons tab is also gone! but the sim and the plane are working...
  18. Thanks for the adviced, mine is dead too...
  19. After all these fatal crashes, even though I can bring the plane to fly with the aforemention method, I realised that my add on tab in my FSX is gone. Please don't tell me to do a fresh install fof FSX... My sim was perfect before the installation of this PMDG add on. And no add on should damage an FSX installation anybody any Idea how to bring that tab?. My add ons are gone including the FSUIPC menus...and the problem is I really like this plane :)
  20. Regardless of the FPS issue...works for me with a couple of cards and resolutions are different. [/img]
  21. Yes it worked like this...start the sim with another situation or go to your fsx cfg file and lete the start up situation..leave it blank. Sim will start with a default, bypassing the pmdg. Load any flight with any other plane...after that load the NGX BUT the default PMDG livery...it will come up....after that then select american airlines or any other if you have them installed. It will come up without thwe crash. Therefore thers got to be a problem with the livery manager of some sort. My installed liveries were working perfect until I installed the Caribbean airlines one. see ya...plane is waiting... :)
  22. Wow this is weird, the planes were working perfectly until now. I just downloaded the Caribbean Airlines livery...Kaput..Fatal crash again.. I just deleted the situation will try again as before starting with another plane. I uninstall it, still the fatal crash. Before it worked by starting with any other plane and then switching to the pmdg NGX.
  23. Update: Contrary to popular believe starting the sim with any other plane solved the problem for a moment. I discover that only the 800 wl was afected. othe models were coming up. The issue went away after re-installing a couple of liveries!
  24. Got the plane yesterday, everything working fine, with the exception of panel freezes with new liveries. With default livery everything was fine. Follow advice in the forum to change the file properties. remove the read only attribute.End of my fun...I got a fatal crash everytime I start the sim. Of course this is solve easily by just deleting the start up situation which I did. The sim works ok.. If I select the plane..again the crash...I uninstall it completely and re-install it again... Didn't ask for activation?...weird and still get the same crash... How can I re-install this and re-activate and get my plane working again? Do I need to delete a license file or something?
