  1. and isnt this the perfect place for this thread :(
  2. all the additions sound awesome, especially the performance customizations. i cant wait.and thanks for the update, its very nice knowing whats going on.
  3. "limitations with FSX" is developer speak for "we dont have enough time/money/know-how within performance limits to do it".and not to be specific to this subject but imo its getting thrown around too much.
  4. an update on whats going on would be nice.
  5. like Timmer said, u need to edit the enbpalette.bmp in any image editing program.the .max file is for 3ds max.
  6. sense or no sense it has solved my ctd problem.
  7. yes, a little x in the filename, enb uses a modified version of the d3d9.dll, d3dx9.dll is the directx helper libraries, which are needed by every dx application.in the windows system dir u will find a lot of different versions of said file with names like d3dx9_yy.dll where the yy is replaced by the directx sdk build number to which that file belongs.placing that file in the fsx dir forces enb to use one of those instead of those in the windows system dir. this has solved 99% of my ctd when switching between fullscreen/window mode.and again u should expirement with different versions if one doesnt work for u.
  8. thats why i added 2 more dlls from different games for u to try if u get crashes.just rename the current one to something like d3d9.dll.old, and rename the ones with bak, or bk2 extension to d3d9.dll.also u dont have to use the d3d9.dll's i have provided, u can just go with one that did work for u. the effect.txt file is supported on most versions of enb, as well as the pallete. btw possible d3d9.dll ctd fix when switching between window/fullscreen can be found herehttp://forum.avsim.n...d-possible-fix/
  9. that is indeed the case. just stick to one monitor, when u start dragging panels around to other monitors enb will cause problems.
  10. sorry, my bad. thanks for correcting me.
  11. REX has some pretty good free environment maps on thier sitehttp://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/downloads.htmldownload "Water Environment Reflection & Color Maps".i would also recommend enbseries for making the lighting and colors a lot more realistic.here are a couple of threads about enbhttp://forum.avsim.net/topic/349198-custom-enb-palette/http://forum.avsim.net/topic/347673-enbseries-upgrade/
  12. u can do it in fsx itself.in the aircraft selection menu, select the aircraft than click details, there u can set your call sign.the list of airlines is takes from airlines.cfg in the fsx dir, just edit it in notepad and add whatever airlines u wish.
  13. play around with the [colorCORRECTION] section in enbseries.inimainly DarkeningAmountDay value. also u can check out some threads i made about adding more effects to enbhttp://forum.avsim.n...om-enb-palette/http://forum.avsim.n...series-upgrade/
  14. no problem, glad to help.i just posted another enb related tweak/addition in the fsx forum if u are intrestedhttp://forum.avsim.n...om-enb-palette/
  15. HeyI created a custom enb palette which i rather liked so i thought i would share.its used by enb's color correction. u can of course edit this palette to get different to some extreme results.if u do want to try something different, try changing the hue, brightness and contrast, than curves levels etc. or u can create a completly new gradient.for easy testing of results u dont have to restart fsx, u can switch between window and fullscreen, that will read in any changes to enbseries.ini or the palette.just drop the file in your fsx dir, and in your enbseries.ini under [colorCORRECTION] set UsePaletteTexture=1 u can download the palette herehttp://www.mediafire...ho859beeb76uclc original enbdev.com documentation about the use of palette texture.http://enbdev.com/palette_en.htm here are comparison shots:
  16. so there is probably some issue with your setup.i use enb and antilag together and i dont have the problem u are describing.
  17. the uiautomation.dll has nothing to do with window/fullscreen change, its for fixing a crash when using menus or switching views in win 7.also im not exactly sure what u mean since there is d3d9.dll and d3dx9.dll which are not the same. enb uses a modified d3d9.dll to hook the directx9 render calls and modify them.d3dx9.dll is just a library of math and other misc functions primarly which all directx applications use for basic stuff.
  18. the black screens are fsx problem not enb or antilag.i've had them long before using any of these in fsx.and btw, every directx application is using the d3dx libraries. it is as far as i know, all u have to do is place the dll from older vista windows in your fsx dir. since exe files first look for dll's in thier root dir, and only than go to the windows system dir.by removing it from the windows dir all together u may cause problems to other programs which actually need the newer file.i would revert back and just place the correct file in the fsx dir.
  19. yup, i suggest u just try it and see for yourself. it adds a little grain noise which u can enable/disable, just edit the file in notepad or any other text editorjust replace "#define ENOISE" at the top of the file with "//#define ENOISE"u can also change other effect parameters likefloat SharpeningAmount = 2.0;float NoiseAmount = 0.5;to get different results, and if u are not happy with these effects just delete the file. u can see some comparison shots with and without it herehttp://forum.avsim.n...series-upgrade/ try checking that focus display in nvidia control panel is set to the monitor u want enb on.also try setting "UseEffect=1" in your enbseries.ini so the effect will start automatically.
  20. if you are having ctd with enb try thishttp://forum.avsim.net/topic/348502-enb-ctd-possible-fix/
  21. thank u all for your input. it would be nice if PMDG could share with us some details on exactly how this works. where can u see the time left for alignment ? i was looking for that.
