  1. I was just about to request that this forum be added. Thanks! I can't wait to try Aerofly FS out. It is what Flight should have been, e.g., open to developers, focused on flight physics rather than games, etc. I see a lot of potential for Aerofly if the flight community will get behind it and try it out and offer suggestions for improvements to the developers.
  2. disk only. Also, you will pay a fortune in shipping if you order from the international site and ship to the U.S. Wait for the disk to be available in the U.S. shop--hopefully in January.
  3. Initial customer reactions are starting to come in and are very positive. Some impressive videos have been posted also. This looks perfect for those liking "low and slow" flying in an interesting region like Switzerland. Yes, the flight operations are simplified, but that's ok since the eye candy is so good. The shadows and texture resolution are amazing. I just wish there were seasons and weather, but that may come in the future. I can't wait for the U.S. version and wish they'd hurry up adding it to their U.S. shop. Also, their forum indicates that they will make it open for developers, so we could see a lot of add on planes and regions in the future. This product may be a great competitor to Flight if the developer could put some $ behind marketing.
  4. The English web site for Aerofly FS is now up, but the product is not yet available in the U.S. store. Anyone know an expected U.S. release? The shipping cost from the international store is outrageous.
  5. To answer I question I raised yesterday, the Aerofly FS forum states that the release DVD will include English and German versions, so there is no separate release date for English.
  6. Seriously? How can XP10 call itself a simulator if crashes are not modeled?
  7. Agree...the scenery from the videos looks better than anything on the market today that I have seen except perhaps for some combat sims like ROF or Wings of Prey. Wish there was full weather and seasons, but the FAQ says that they will respond to the community and make adjustments over time. It also sounds like they will be opening it up to third party developers.
  8. I'd be ok with auto mixture in exchange for stunning visuals and high fps if the throttle and flight physics are realistic. Hopefully, Switzerland is just the base and there will be add-on regions over time. Anyone have an update on a U.S. version or are people just planning to get the German one?
  9. Wow, this product really came out of nowhere. It looks great. I'm anxious to read reviews.
  10. I predict Hawaii + the rest of the northern Pacific, perhaps including Japan and California, so there can be some long-haul flights. 10 GB would be plausible for that with all of the water.
  11. Thanks! I'm downloading now.
  12. The Cirrus SR-22 has become one of the top-selling planes in the U.S., but I haven't read much about the Eaglesoft version for FSX. It looks pretty good. Any users care to comment on their experience?
  13. I'm also a fan of Ant's Sierra for FTX regions. It has awesome cockpit visibility.
